The Brookstone Lodge and Suites was very nice and quiet. We thought it strange that there wasn’t an elevator to the 2nd floor and the room didn’t smell as fresh as it could have been. The breakfast was good and overall it’s a nice place to stay when visiting the Algona area.

Everything was really nice and clean. With the exception of the base of the toilet. There was dried up poo. Not a lot and it was hard to see. I told the house keeper. She told me that she would clean it after we left the room. When we got back she had not cleaned it. My husband cleaned it up. I didn't tell anybody. Everything else was great!

I have stayed here quite a few times over the past 5 years while visiting family and doing local business. Consistently this property has been a good place to stay. The rooms have always been very clean, tv options are extensive, breakfast is ok, and staff responsive to any requests I have had.

Other than being 45 miles north of Fort Dodge, all around a very nice hotel. Would definitely stay there again if in the area. Heads up for those with pets. NO PETS Allowed.

My stay was very comforable, the bed was the best I have ever had in a motel. Everything was very clean and fresh. Breakfast was adequate, with biscuits and gravy, and pancakes, plus cold cereals. Bacon and/or eggs would have been nice. One flaw: the small bar that allows the door to open only a crack came off in my hand. Obviously not a safety feature, with only screws to hold it, but I think it's standard.

It is always a plus when breakfast is provided. We were happy to know it was available from 6:30 -10 on Saturday morning. However, when we arrived for breakfast at 8:15, none of the hot food was left. The serving covered tray remained empty and no attendant showed up at all to assist guests. I was going to mention it when checking out but the staff person never asked about how our stay went and if everything was to our satisfaction. I decided she was not the person to tell and she may have also been the person in charge of breakfast. All the same, there was cereal, bagels and English muffins plus cereal, etc. My point is that Brookstone may want to advertise this amenity as a cold breakfast so it does not create unreasonable expectations. Otherwise the premises, rooms and eveything else was very nice. That may have added to the disappoinment at breakfast.

Room was nice and clean. The breakfast needed help pancake maker need the bag changed work told us it was broke but then later came and changed it. No eggs or breakfast meat was available ( just not made). Pastrys were also out. Had to go out for breakfast instead

We stay here whenever we visit family and always appreciate the cleanliness and quiet of Brookstone. The manager and other personnel were super friendly and even had an air pump for our balloons and a box of nice toys for our nieces' kids to play with!! We appreciate the fruit at breakfast, though the menu did not vary the entire 4 days we were there:-) All in all, a very nice stay!
