This is the worst hotel I have experienced in memory. Virtually nothing worked: the internet was overwhelmed, the cable malfunctioned, even the coffee maker in the room didn’t work. The ventilation in the bathroom was broken so instead of venting air from the inside, freezing air poured in from outside! Do not stay here. Drive the 20 miles from Salida.

Stayed 2 nights

Flies. So many flies in our room. Resturant closed. Hot tub- too much chlorine. Dirt behind furniture. Spider web with many dead flies. Comforter & pillow with stains. Manager rude when over charged for room and we requested refund for difference, despite calling multiple times for refund. Front desk guy was nice though.

The place needs to be upgraded. The pillows were all lumpy and old. There was a chemical or old smell in the room.Would be great if the restaurant / bar would have been open.

Stayed 1 night

I booked a stay here for a weekend ski trip. Upon arriving, they informed that the bar and restaurant are closed. Had to drive to Salida for dinner and couldn’t feed the kids breakfast until 11am when the restaurant in the mountain opened. Defeated the whole purpose of staying there. Will have to keep staying in Salida in the future for this reason.
