I’ve stayed at Chalet a bunch, I think this is the fifth or sixth time. This time was a bit odd, from the aggressive messages at booking and pre arrival to the notes left in the rooms with typos and again, overly aggressive. It also was not as clean as it usually is, with the carpet being ridiculously filthy. They also did some of the worst tile installation I think I’ve ever seen on one of the walkways. Not sure if we will stay again in the future if this is the way the property is trending, which is unfortunate because we have been loyal to them for quite some time.

We love the open space where we could not only cook and eat, but socialize and just store things for the days that we were there. The property was clean and had little amenities that you sometimes don’t think about like a garbage can in every room instead of one for the whole place. Two suitcase stands and plenty of drawer space, etc. We stayed three nights and loved it.

There was no usable hot water in the morning. Apparently there is a sign somewhere on the property telling guests that they need to run the water for 15–25 minutes before it gets hot. That is not a reasonable solution to a basic hotel amenity, and it certainly shouldn’t be something guests discover only after arriving. The internet also did not work, leaving us without two things most travelers reasonably expect from a hotel: hot water and Wi-Fi. What makes the situation worse is the way problems appear to be handled. After reading the owner's responses to previous negative reviews, I was genuinely surprised by how defensive and confrontational some of them were. Rather than reassuring me that problems would be taken seriously, they made me considerably less interested in trying to resolve anything directly with the property. The whole experience felt poorly managed and unnecessarily frustrating. A hotel does not need to be luxurious, but it should provide the basic services it advertises, and guests should not have to hunt for instructions explaining how to coax hot water out of the plumbing. No hot water, no functioning internet, and an approach to customer complaints that inspires very little confidence. There are plenty of other places to stay. I would choose one of them.

The room was clean when we got there. We stayed for 4 days and it was never cleaned again. The AC worked great and with 102 degree temperatures outside we needed ut!
