I love this cute little place. So convenient on the main drag with very helpful staff on cleaning and check-in/out. You have to find parking if you don’t get one of the two spots out front but there’s a few in the back which I’d recommend if you don’t want struggle with pulling out into the traffic. Overall, cute decor (love the flamingos!) and a bright cheery vibe. Will return!

We enjoyed our stay and the place was clean. I liked the fact that there was a microwave and a fridge as well as a Keurig in the room and a bottle filler right outside. Check in was easy and the place was very nice overall. There are a couple of things to note for future travelers. 1. Our room was very small. With 2 queen beds and a room under 200sf, it is not ideal for 4 people. It was my fault for not looking at that detail. But definitely check the room SF to make sure it works for your party size. If there were only 2 of us, it would've been just fine! 2. There are lights right outside every window and there are no curtains, just shutters. That meant at 4am, it looked like it was 7am outside. If you like it dark when you sleep, you'd better bring window coverings because lots of light comes in! I would stay there again in a larger room, with some sleep masks for the family!

Pro: cute and clean updated motel room. Outdoor garden spaces to relax. Nice location in Coronado. Con: Room 11 bed was uncomfortable. The shower drained painfully slow. Walls were thin; I could hear a person’s phone conversation next door through the wall - at 6:30 a.m.! Also, finding a place to park is challenging if the motel’s five spots are taken.

Super cute property! Easy check in! Perfect location and close to the beach. We always had a place to park too. Only thing I would have liked would have been an ice machine. There was one in the lobby but not sure it worked. The water kept running. The ice wasn’t already made. Other than that, it was a nice stay!

The perfect little place. It was myself and 2 kids (teens) and it was just what we needed. Check in and check out was very easy and so convenient. They also had a water cooler which was really helpful to fill up our water bottles before hitting the beach or the road. Everything worked and we were very comfortable. Kathy was great with recommendations and even helping us when we had to go back because we left something in the room.

Didn't like the remote passive off-site check-in process. No personnel to address problems or issues. Cleanliness of room was questionable and housekeeping didn't even make up the bed. We noticed housekeeper rinsing out cups used in the room with the garden house which raises doubts with the cleaning and upkeep of the room. Overall property felt like a Motel-6 like accomodations. The room was extremely narrow and small unlike what is protrayed in the website photos. Very disappointed in the stay. Going to post this dissatisfaction on Yelp and Google.

Had a hard time getting into room. Didn't receive text with information for "self-check in". No one at the office. Finally due to another guest giving me a cell phone number, I was able to get room key. Post check out, I was billed $82 for "missing" pillow and blanket. I used the cell phone number to text the property and after threatening to dispute the transaction on my credit card, a credit was issued. The carpet was really dirty in the room. I have previously stayed at this hotel and am sad to see how it has declined in management.

It’s a great walk to the Del about 1 mile. Bed was kind of hard . Cute little place , as most on Coronado are! Wonderful price point . Money saver if you doubt mind the steps!! Overall easy stay and convenient to shops and restaurants at the bay

I had so much trouble with my Expedia booking for this property. It was a terrible experience. However, the team at El Rancho went out of their way to resolve issues. I dealt with three different people at El Rancho prior to our stay and all were friendly and helpful. Our stay was everything we had hoped and more. The only thing I would change is to add a cooler to the room we were in, but it’s San Diego and we didn’t spend much time in the room so it wasn’t a problem. I would definitely recommend El Rancho

Check in wasn’t the best. No staff available when we arrived at 3pm. Only way to get you’re keys was to ring the owner but when we did there was no answer. Luckily there was another guest passing by who helped us get our keys otherwise we would could of been hanging around Wasting precious time when we could of been doing something else. Other than that the rooms were small but clean and the area it’s self was excellent. Close to the ferry, beach and Restaurants. I would recommend.

For all the motels at this end of Orange Ave it is the best. Quaint courtyard and lots outdoor seating. If you are a walker or rent bikes the 1.2 miles to the main Coronado beach area is a breeze. It’s a motel and you get all you can expect with some quirky charm included. Staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Beds comfy. It’s an older property like most nearby but maintained and clean. Second stay and we will be back.

Easiest check-in and check-out ever. They texted me the code to the front office and had my key sitting on the counter. Check-out is dropping a key in a lockbox. The location is great. I went to a baseball game. It's an easy walk to the ferry, a short boat ride, and an easy walk to the stadium.

We loved the location! We are walkers, so walkable to both the Ferry Landing and shops /restaurants. Very happy with the DIY services. Easy access to towels, coffee, ect. Great water pressure in shower!!! Our room was tiny, but patios are very nice.

This is a cute lil boutique style place to stay. Location is on orange, near the bay(walkable). We used our e-bikes to get around the island and were able to go everywhere without using our vehicle. (Including beach) Perfect place to stay abd have a lil $ left to have some fun! Brigantine has the best taco Tuesday with swordfish tacos!!! And Poehes has a great happy hour overlooking the bay at San Diego. Enjoy😎
