What guests think

At Hampton Inn & Suites Lavonia, guests consistently praise the friendly, welcoming staff, a convenient location near highways and dining, and a well-liked breakfast with good variety, making stays comfortable and generally quiet for road trips or tournaments.

Several reviews, however, note inconsistent cleanliness or maintenance, including occasional bathroom or linen issues, musty odors, uneven tubs, malfunctioning shower controls, and AC units that cycle or run loudly overnight. Pricing is sometimes viewed as high for the area, and one reviewer called out a steep pet fee. Expect a friendly, convenient stay, with awareness of occasional room quirks and variable rates.

The person at the front desk upon check-in was rude, and had poor customer service. The room smelled like old musty sweaty person. I cleaned my room and still found hair that wasn't mine in the shower. The pool was nice though.

Everything in the hotel was clean, and everything worked. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. The (included) breakfasts were fresh, contained hot and cold cereals, eggs, pancakes and fresh fruit, and there was some variety each of the 3 mornings I was there. I’ll definitely stay again when in the area.

The room had stains on the bathroom walls (vomit?), hair on the shower floor, and the mirrors were all dirty. We requested housekeeping during our 2 night stay and were told at 1:45 the housekeeping staff had left for the day. When we asked to at least have trash removed and towels replenished, this was not done. For a rate of $200 a night, this facility and services did not come close to meeting standards.

Clean and well appointed Hampton. Check in was without hello, thanks, etc...although i got the feeling maybe she was new. The really significant point was the AC. It operates on a motion sensor and hotel control process. Go to sleep comfortable and wake a few hours later hot...repeated throughout the night. Way too expensive for in the middle of nowhere to not have AC in GA summer.

The hotel is very nice but the bed was horrible. It was like sleeping on a board. I mentioned it to the staff and was pretty much shrugged off. I did give it 5 stars because we have stayed there several times before with no issues. Stay away from room 425.

The room we were assigned on Saturday and Sunday was terrible. The shower knob stripped and we couldn’t turn water off. Called front desk and they sent maintenance up. He did replace it temporarily and got the water off. He said we could take shower and we did but didn’t water stayed on hot and couldn’t change it. They moved us to another room Monday and it was better but toilet made noise like it was going to break. The staff was excellent trying to do what they could and the rooms were clean. I didn’t get any discount for all the trouble we went through because I booked the room from hotels.com.
