Stayed 2 nights

The Spectator is a nice hotel in a great location, and the room amenities were the highlight of our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic drinks were restocked daily. We also appreciated the turndown service, the bottle of wine, and the heated towel warmers. Everyone we met was friendly. For the price, though, a few things fell short. We had no view from our room, and with no rooftop pool, I expected the personal touches to make up for it. The butler walked us to our room, showed us how the keys worked, and gave a brief rundown, but we didn't hear from him again. The most frustrating moment was our arrival. It was dark and pouring rain, and we waited a long time for a valet who never showed up. My sister ended up unloading our luggage herself and hauling it up the steps and we drug it inside before someone finally appeared to take it and park the car. When we returned later in the stay, there was again no valet in sight. A lovely property with a warm staff, but at this price point, I expected more consistent service, especially the valet.

Wonderful place to be pampered. From the time we walked through the door we were treated like royalty. Fun treat for the girls. Highly recommend it.
