What guests think

At Drury Inn & Suites St. Louis Brentwood, travelers repeatedly highlight friendly staff, clean spaces, and strong value from the included breakfast plus evening Kickback with drinks, alongside a convenient location near shopping, dining, and major St. Louis attractions.

The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub are popular, though they can be crowded or occasionally have maintenance or cleanliness issues, and parking is straightforward with a garage. Rooms are spacious but some guests note dated features, limited TV or USB options, variable water pressure, and occasional noise from thin walls or outside light. Overall, the value comes from the included meals and convenient base, while experiences can vary with room updates and how busy shared areas get.

Could not have asked for a better experience. We enjoy the free evening snack/dinner options. Pool and hot tub area was very clean. Ev chargers in the parking garage would be nice, but they do have Tesla superchargers just a short distance away.

I liked the parking garage option. We loved the pool. The heater was off on the spa though, one day hot one day not. The breakfast was great! But it was the same thing everyday so that is boring for a 3 night stay. We did like the kickback, food was okay. I do have to brag on every employee here, they were extremely friendly, polite, they seemed to really like their job. And in today’s world of rude interactions that was such a nice thing to encounter. Oh and the beds were uncomfortable.

Hotel was great. Free breakfast was high quality. No complaints. I only wish the pool had some soundproofing panels in the room because it gets crazy loud in there with only a handful of kids in the pool.

Love this property. What will keep me from staying here again is the mattress. It’s time to upgrade. The room was clean but staying in it 3 days I noticed a lot of areas that needed to be cleaned better like the walls around the toilet and furniture. I love Drury properties and think they are a tremendous value. This hotel is wonderfully located and the staff is top-notch. Unfortunately we did not get to partake in the evening kickback but the breakfast is always solid.

Overall, the stay was fine. We really just needed a place to sleep and shower. The beds were pretty uncomfortable though. Even our young kids woke up in the morning saying their backs and necks hurt from the beds. The shower head water pressure was weak, but at least the water was warm. As for the free drinks/food in the evenings, the entire dining area was filled with construction workers and their families, and it was really loud and busy, so we did not partake in that offering.

Free breakfast, free dinner, and 3 free drinks per adult during happy hour every day, along with comfy beds, quiet rooms with noise-resistant walls, lots of conference rooms, and an indoor pool that extends outdoors under a retractable wall would have been enought to consider this a 5-star budget hotel. But I had to drop it by 1 star due to the very-low water pressure, the not-so-warm water temperature in the mornings, the older waffle makers, and the lack of variety of teas at breakfast (only Lipton).

We stayed in a king bed suite where our adult daughter slept on the pull out couch. Parking was easy and adequate despite a filled hotel. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows not so much. There was noise outside (not the hotel’s fault) that disrupted my sleep and noise from other guests in the hall that disrupted my daughter’s sleep in the area closer to the hallway. We actually enjoyed the suppers both nights we were there so much that we opted to not go out to eat. Choices included a small salad bar, chicken noodle soup, baked beans, slaw, bbq meat, and nachos. My husband made a slider and I made a small plate of bbq nachos. The second night offered meatballs, delicious mashed potatoes, gravy, and steamed vegetables along with the same small salad bar, nachos, and a vegetable Florentine soup. The breakfast offered several choices as well. We usually stay at the Arnold location but embraced the opportunity to get to know this area of St. Louis on this trip.

Horrible check in experience-had to ring for the person. No luggage carts were available. Checking out was the same-no luggage carts. Then we left items by accident. I called and the front desk verified that the items were there. I left a message for housekeeping. I never heard anything back. It took 3 follow up calls before I finally got to speak to housekeeping. Then the items had disappeared-they no longer had the items.

My experience at this hotel was rather disappointing. The front desk staff were consistently rude and inattentive. On one occasion, I approached the desk with a question, only to find the attendant completely absorbed in something else, with her head down. At other times, the attendants were too busy chatting among themselves to assist guests properly. The room was acceptable, but there was no lotion provided. Instead, guests are expected to go to the front desk to request it, which is inconvenient. Overall, the service left much to be desired.

Not only did the amenities rock ( kickback, free breakfast, a nice indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub), but it’s in a nice neighborhood surrounded by markets and shopping opportunities. I've never stayed in a hotel that provided free dinner and up to three alcoholic drinks. Drury does, along with the standard hot buffet breakfast. Neither meal was gourmet, or particularly good, but a very nice benefit, especially when traveling on a budget. The hotel was adequate, in line with a Holiday Inn. Condition was a bit worn, but the bed was comfortable. People at the front desk and in the dining area were very nice. The hotel itself sits in an area with no charm, right off the freeway - which was my view from the 8th floor. It is surrounded by two shopping centers with a Target, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack, and other large stores. A Bonefish restaurant is next door, convenient if you want to forego the free dinner for something better.
