Hotel Plata Condesa

What guests think

Across many reviews, Hotel Plata Condesa is praised for its very central, walkable location and overall cleanliness, while recurring trade-offs include street noise in some rooms, no on-site parking, and a check-in process handled at a nearby sister property.

Rooms range from spacious to compact; several note very firm beds, small bathrooms, and the lack of air conditioning, while some highlight city or balcony views and effective double-pane windows. Service is often friendly but the off-site/remote reception and unclear arrival instructions can be inconvenient, and there is no elevator. Breakfast is served at the sister hotel a short walk away; many enjoyed it, though others found it basic or inconsistent. Well suited to travelers who want a practical base and are comfortable with a few compromises.

The property and location were fantastic. The parking situation is terrible. We were charged $1/hr even though it was advertised as free parking, and the lot was 1/2 mile away from the property.

Hotel right on the middle of downtown. Very lively, lots of noise, music and happy people. Parking is an issue! There’s no parking at the hotel but they recommended 2 parking places about 5 and 10 minutes from the hotel.

The one downside was no elevator, which was a concern for my 85 year old mother. However, the staff were phenomenal in how they moved us to lower area, and helped her at all times as she worked the steps. Central location, easy to access everything. All staff were wonderful. The windows are double-paned, so the street noise wasn’t too bad. But if you are staying in any hotel in the central area, traffic noise will happen. So, if that’s an issue, don’t stay in the centro histórico zone. I definitely recommend this hotel to others - I would easily stay there again in the future.

I loved it here and I would stay again in a heartbeat. It's right in the center of town close to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful, My room was immaculately clean, Bed was a little hard but still comfortable. I had a room with a balcony facing right out into town and it is a very festive town. However, the doors were really sound proofing and I slept very well. The breakfast. Was in its sister hotel across the street and that was nice as well. There was some traditional Mexican foods, Egg,bread fruits coffee was good. Overall I give them a 10. Please forgive any incorrect punctuation, or lack of, as i voice text this review. Don't hesitate to stay at la plata condesa.

If you are staying here it’s bc you will not be in the hotel much. No a/c and the fan that is in the room does nothing. It was so hot in the room that I almost left . I was staying in the terrace side , which is in the 3rd floor , no elevator . We could not open the windows due to big roaches being outside . The rooms are clean enough and staff was friendly. Breakfast is in another close by hotel. This is more of a 2 star hotel to young folks who are there to party .
