Across many reviews, Villa Kavallaris & Apartments stands out for exceptionally friendly, hands-on staff who map itineraries, arrange transport and rentals, and simplify logistics, alongside a clean, quiet property with an attractive pool for relaxing between outings.
Rooms are generally comfortable and often spacious with balconies or views. The location is central and close to bus stops, shops, and the airport, though it sits away from Fira and Oia and is easier with a car. Downsides mentioned include occasional A/C or Wi‑Fi issues, noise near reception, limited evening reception, and an unpaved back parking area. Expect a friendly, good-value base for exploring Santorini.

Facilities
The outdoor pool and lounging area are a highlight and well maintained. On-site parking is available, though part of the back lot is unpaved, and a few guests found the pool water cold.

Absolutley adored this property!!!! The location was perfect the staff 100 out of 10. The recommendations given just top tier service especially for someone who works in hospitality i'm quick to judge. The pool was fantastic basically had it all to my self, the buses are just few mins walking distance, supermarket, bakery, restaurants. Couldn't rave about this property more if I can make a suggestion please update towels as they are a little rough on skin but easy fix. Other then that this stay was perfect and made my 4 days in Santorini unforgettable. Thank you from New York!

We loved the staff at the Vila Kavallaris. She was so helpful in arranging transportation and any information we needed for our stay. The hotel was in a great location and very close to the airport. It was quiet but central to seeing all the sites on the island. The bus was down the street to take you to other towns. We also rented a scooter that was delivered directly to the hotel. That was nice. We spent time at the pool and there were lounge chairs and also shaded beds if you needed.

Fantastic hotel with best transportation option. We have seen the whole island via busses that are all 2min away from the hotel. Beautiful spacious setting with a pool. Very friendly & helpful staff. The only thing I’d add is a option to buy drinks at The premises.

The pool was wonderful and we had access to it right away before check in. Rooms were cleaned daily. The person at reception during the day was very helpful with directions. The reception person in the evening exaggerated the amount of traffic to get to the port in the morning. We enjoyed the stay.

Merci!

This is one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. The staff was extremely accommodating, providing directions around Santorini and options for us to do. Our flight left much later after check-out and they allowed us to store our luggage and used the pool. I would highly recommend Villa Kavallaris

This was a wonderfully managed and clean property. It is also quiet and the views are great. The town bus is a block away so it is very accessible. The kitchen was well furnished so for a family that needs to cook meals, it is great! Swimming pool is always clean. Even let us stay till 1:00 PM to check out. It is near a grocery store too!

We booked here for an overnight stay as our flight got in late and our ferry to Naxos wasn’t until the next day. The room did exactly what we needed it to. It was clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were excellent. We had a huge terrace with a gorgeous sunrise view. We were also welcomed with a complimentary bottle of rosé. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Our room 5 was overlooking the lovely pool, had a little balcony with table and chairs. Bathroom was in excellent condition. We had trouble with getting hot water until the young man at the desk showed us that we were turning in the wrong direction! And then it was very hot! Air conditioning worked well and quietly. Young man at the desk was very friendly and helpful. It doesn’t include breakfast but there are lots of coffee bakery places in Mesaria. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful clean apartment amazing view on the sea, nice balconies, lots of parking, excellent location in a quiet neighborhood in Santorini away from crowded tourist spots and close to markets and restaurants. Pleasant check in, host provided us with local map and information about beaches and places to visit. We had daily housekeeping. One of stovetop elements not functional and bed mattresses a little soft for our taste. All in all a good experience.

The pool/patio area is very nice. The room/bathroom was very clean. The people at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. The room we stayed in was right off the lobby. If that bothers you, I would recommend verifying where your room would be located. The only complaint was that the mattress was hard.

It is such a great experience staying here. The staffs are kind and very helpful. The property is beautiful and picturesque. We had a great stay. The lady at the front desk was so helpful with recommendations and getting us a good rental car within the hour. We were very worried about being unprepared (you need to have a car to really enjoy the island!), but she helped us so much. The pool was nice and the room was big, both of which were well appreciated.

The property is nice at a quiet area. It was very clean and the pool was beautiful! The front desk staffs were very nice and helpful! Specially was Simmy gave me a lot of local information how to travel around, where to eat, arranged my transportation etc… The location is little difficult to find as the first visitors. Asking for an airport pickup I think is necessary, otherwise would be hard to find.

The location is no where close to Fira or Oía where most locals would go to explore Santorini but you would anyways need a scooter or quad bike / car to explore the island so the location is great in that aspect being in a less crowded area. The staff are really helpful and friendly along with having perfect knowledge about the spots to visit as well . Would highly recommend staying here and commuting to the other areas given it’s location and proximity to the port of Santorini / airport as well

The location was great. Half way between the north end and south end. The super market is I'm walking distance along with restaurants. We actually walked to the airport. It was an easy 1.9 mile walk. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Fantastic hotel with best transportation option. We have seen the whole island via busses that are all 2min away from the hotel. Beautiful spacious setting with a pool. Very friendly & helpful staff. The only thing I’d add is a option to buy drinks at The premises.

Tiene un precio muy bueno considerando costos de hospedaje en Santorini. Está ubicado cerca de una avenida donde hay muchos restaurantes, tiendas y negocios de renta de autos y motos (necesarios para moverse por toda la isla).

The staff was excellent, very nice and very helpful with all my questions. I was upgraded to a suite which offered a kitchen. So it was perfect with leftovers. They don't have a microwave, but they do have a mini portable stove. I stayed during low season, so I enjoyed the beautiful pool all to myself! It was like my own personal spa resort! This hotel is located at a very convenient location. I walked everywhere- to the super market, bakery, restaurants, bus stops...everything you need is within walking distance. I highly recommend Villa Kavallaris. They made my stay very comfortable. Good job guys!

I truly enjoyed my stay the hostess, grounds were quiet and clean! My hostess was more than accommodating. I had a problem using my AMEX card and she went above and beyond to help me!! PS. This part of Island does not accept AMEX, try using in Oia The property is in walking distance to local store/bakeries.
