What guests think

At Quality Inn Hammond, travelers report friendly staff and convenient highway access, but experiences vary widely due to dated facilities, inconsistent cleanliness, noticeable odors, and traffic noise; expectations should be modest, especially if sensitive to maintenance issues.

Many guests find the beds comfortable and consider it fine for a short stopover. It is near shopping and restaurants, though several reviews felt the area and parking lot could feel sketchy. Breakfast feedback is mixed, and the pool has been closed or removed. Overall, expect a basic budget stay with trade offs.

Pool was closed. Whole place looked nasty dirty. There was a tampon on the sidewalk outside our room, whole building looked beat up, rooms were dirty and stinky. My toddler picked up an old toe nail off the carpet. There were what resembled boogers on the shower wall and hair on the handles, just overall dirty shower. My husband showered and walked to the bed and picked up his feet and they were filthy just from walking across the carpet to the bed. There was old wilted lettuce on the coffee tray. The tv was awful, blurry and my uncles tv in his room didn’t even work.

This hotel was horrible, very dirty, moldy, wet carpets, smelled horrible!! Drug deals going on in the parking lot, people screaming and partying outside all night and up early playing loud music. Pool was not working, breakfast was almost nothing and nasty. Place should be shut down

When choosing the hotel, one of the features I wanted was a pool. It was filled in upon arrival and I was told the pool feature "was removed from the website". On the other hand, the young lady who cleaned my room was so nice and personable.

Swimming pool is full of green nasty water ideal for infections and mosquitoes plague. Staff lady was not friendly at all, room was musty and smells. Facility had evidence of run overs and we didn’t felt safe. I tried to cancel my reservation and never got an answer from Expedia. Staff person was not helpful either. Ended up staying for 7 hours only and continued with my long trip.

The place is a dump, the double rooms are way on the backside of the hotel by the garbage dumpster making it dangerous for a a 2 women one who is 78 and a young girl. The room had a verrry funky odor and spraying Lysol only made it worse. The Toliet seat has a crack in it. The top border of the curtain was stained very badly as if from a bad water leak. We had to bring cooked food for my grand daughter because of her health conditions and was not able to heat because the room had no microwave. So had to reach out to friends to come over to heat her food. And the breakfast was worse than what’s served at a truck stop. We stayed here because it was close to the surgery center we needed to be at, will never stay at Quality again or recommend.

My stay at this hotel was okay overall. I would not be staying at this hotel again for the main fact that I had just checked out at 11am from my hotel and was heading to my vehicle, I vividly saw the housekeepers going into the room to start the cleaning process, a couple hours later I noticed that I had left some of my belongings, which were my wedding dress and a couple suit jackets for my kiddos. Ms Penny was very helpful, however I was very disappointed about the dishonesty of the housekeepers for not turning my belongings into lost and found, especially after I did my best to clean the room and dispose all of my trash before I officially checked out!!!

I stayed for a night on a business trip by myself. Terrible service. I paid online through expedia. During check-in the front desk staff could not see the payment in the system. I presented the receipt and still they did not want to give me the room. I was asked to pay again and then deal with Expedia and ask for a refund. I entered the room, and immediately noticed the disgusting smell of smoke. While in the shower the smoke detector went off. I tried reseting it and kept going off. I tried to find the front desk number and call them but the number was nowhere to be found. I looked on the telephone, even the buttons were missing. I ended removing the battery from the smoke detector myself. Do not stay in this hotel. Drive another hour to the next town. Do not take your family in this hotel.

I booked this hotel for a local event during the weekend and to visit friends (though it also coincided with Taylor Swift’s 2024 concert in New Orleans). The hotel is located by some busy streets and the interstate, so there was usually a consistent but tolerable level of noise. The hotel is mostly physically separated from the main street itself, so we felt safe. We felt welcomed when we arrived. The room was very clean. Some of the facilities needed updating, but other than that everything was in working order and we had no complaints. Donna and Melissa in particular were very friendly and helpful, and their care for the job and their service truly stood out to us. Thank you for making our stay a lovely one! Overall, it was a pleasant experience for a very reasonable price.

I was a little nervous from the other reviews but I had an enjoyable stay. The room was clean and comfortable, slight bleach/cleaning smell when I first walked in, but nothing over bearing and went away before I knew it. The lady at the front desk (AM shift) was very friendly and accommodating. She helped switch my room as I mistakenly booked a smoking room but do not smoke. The breakfast was good and the coffee available all day is a plus. The tv was not the best quality and a little confusing to operate given that there were 2 different remotes, but nothing that can’t be figured out or fixed. I would stay here again.
