Stayed 3 nights

Was hesitant to stay with the shared bathroom but honestly was never a problem during my 3 night stay, there are two bathrooms/showers in each hall from what I saw, and the sink in the room is nice to get ready in your room. The bed in the room was comfortable too. Other reviews mention the noise/thin walls. Maybe it was a slow week and my room was towards the middle of the building but it never was especially loud, even during the night. The location in the Castro is great, close to Safeway/cafes/restaurants/public transit. I would see the cleaning ladies in the morning and say hi and they seemed nice, the whole place was always clean, the only negative would be the soaps in the bathroom and hand sanitizer in the bathrooms were completely empty, I suspect they don't refill them.

You cannot park on the street overnight, as there is nightly street cleaning. Try park on the side streets like Sanchez, (be very careful reading the signs), and walk over. Bathroom and shower are down the hallway. For other people it is inconvenient but it is fine with us. They do have a vanity in the room. They do have rooms down the hall that can be less noisy. We were given the room facing the Market street. The famous Streetcar and street cleaning vehicle, you can imagine.
