Athens City View Urban Suites

What guests think

Athens City View Urban Suites delivers a centrally located, boutique-style stay steps from dining, shopping, and major sights, with consistently praised staff and a rooftop terrace with Acropolis views, though the lively street can be noisy at night.

Access requires climbing stairs to reach reception because the elevator begins above street level; a stairlift exists but may not suit everyone. Breakfast in the restaurant downstairs is frequently praised, and many guests also enjoyed dining there. Rooms vary in size, some feel compact and a few guests found mattresses firm or showers prone to splashing, while others report balconies and Acropolis views. Well suited to city breaks focused on sightseeing and dining.

We enjoyed our stay, especially evening drinks and breakfast on the roof terrace. Our room was not huge, but absolutely fine for a few days and was well equipped.

The location of this hotel is pretty tough to beat. It is literally about a 3-minute walk to the market square below the parthenon, and there are shops and restaurants directly outside the front door. The rooftop patio is lovely with a great view. There is no cost to be up there - food and drink service is available, but not required. We stayed in a room without a balcony, so it felt a bit constrained, but as a family of four, the two pull-out beds were perfect to accommodate our children. The breakfast at the restaurant directly beneath the hotel was excellent and we were able to order anything off the menu, which provided lots of great options.

Great location, in Monasteriqui area, close to all types of bars and restaurants and shopping. Rooms are located in the third floor of the building, with the first two accessible by stairs...(and a seat gadget that elevates you floor by floor..)

The hotel is very centrally located. You just walk out the door and everything is right in front of you. You can walk to shops, flea market, restaurants and even the Pathernon(20 mins walk). Rooms are very quiet, updated and clean. A little challenging for seniors. Must go up from street to first floor reception by stairs with luggage as there are no elevators to that first level. Will need help from hotel staff. Has a small but nice rooftop area where you can go and sit with a drink. No service on rooftop. You have to bring your drink, food, etc with you.

Hotel is in a super location. Best shopping right around the corner. You can walk to most of Athen’s famous sites. Staff in the hotel and restaurant are fantastic, so kind and helpful. No elevator, but staff help carry luggage up the stairs. Self serve laundry facilities just a few blocks away. Super easy to use. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Ingrid

The place was amazing. It was a beautiful room with rooftop balcony. The staff was amazing. The gave us each a free drink, which they delivers to us on the rooftop balcony. They also had a restaurant under the hotel where they served us a made to order breakfast each day. Please Note: You must climb one flight of steps before you get access to the elevator. Attached is a picture of our rooftop view.

If you want to stay somewhere super central with style and a great vibe, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Above a great restaurant, up a very steep staircase (luckily they have stairlifts and VERY helpful staff), The room was very stylish and comfortable, if bijou. Walk in shower, Fluffy bathrobes and slippers provided. A Steamer, very unusual, and appreciated after arriving with very creased clothes! The roof terrace (up in the lift) is amazing, fantastic view of the Acropolis and the streetlife below. A great hang out space. Breakfast, served in the restaurant below, was excellent. Can't recommend highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
