What guests think

Reviews of Richmond Inn and Suites describe a very basic, older motel that offers low prices, quiet nights, and occasionally updated rooms, but experiences vary widely, especially around cleanliness, maintenance, surprise cash deposits, and service consistency.

Many budget-focused travelers praised the low price, comfortable beds, and welcoming staff. Others reported serious problems, including dirty rooms, odors or pests, and disputes over unexpected cash deposits or refunds. Rooms are generally dated, with some renovations underway, and a few noted weak Wi‑Fi or plumbing issues. Expect a no-frills stopover where value can be good but quality and policies are inconsistent.

The room was clean, the check in process was efficient, there weren't any amenities and the facility was older, but I needed a room quickly and this one was available. It was perfectly adequate for me.

On busy holidays o could see parking being a problem and spots in the walls are fraying but otherwise it’s fine and drama free

This is a very basic no frills motel. Room and bathroom was clean and A/C worked but not much else to talk about. Furniture was older and had quite a bit of wear on it. No food on site will have to walk or drive to nearby restaurant. There are restaurants in the area this is on a busy commercial road.

The room interior is updated (renovated), clean, and quiet. The new owners are now diligently improving the exterior with fresh paint, masonry and carpentry repair. They definitely have their priorities straight. interior first, exterior to follow. I do miss a Gideon's Bible in the room. But that lacking seems to be universal nowadays.

It's obviously a cheap hotel. The bedspread was dirty, the carpet was worn to threads, there was no hot water and the water pressure was terrible. The front desk started obsessively calling the room phone about 2 hours before check out, which is annoying when you're trying to pack up, clean up, and get dressed.

The room was absolutely disgusting. One of the beds had stains on the mattress so my daughter and I had to sleep in one bed. The bathroom shower was so bad. We wouldn’t even shower in it, the floors in the room were so dirty that we could not walk without shoes on, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

This is a scam. If gone through Expedia you have to pay one hundred CASH deposit. I was kicked out four hours after checking in for lighting a incense because it smelled bad. I lost all my money because it’s NO REFUND. I doubled checked before reserving this property to see if it had a deposit required. It doesn’t state anything about a deposit!! So the owner pocketed my hundred dollars cash and got paid through Expedia for a two night stay. I was only there for 4 hours!!! And had to find another place to stay. The condition of the room is nasty. I even had to check for bed bugs. I witnessed drug activity going on even. I wish I could attach photos. DO NOT go to this hotel!!! The owner running a scam. He collects cash deposit then kicks people out for any reason he can come up with.
