This hotel is fantastic. The design is superb, maximising on the wonderful sea views. The adults only element means that you really can enjoy some peace and relaxation, while having all the benefits of Agios Nikolaos town centre just 7 minutes walk away. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and all of the staff were so helpful and welcoming. We will come again!

Really wonderful infinity pool and plunge pool overlooking the sea. Only comment is they should have towels available by the pool. The bathroom is small and not private from the room.

Nice resort across the street from a beach where you can swim in the Mediterranean or just relax in a lounge chair. 5-10 minute walk to town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Stayed 2 nights it included a breakfast buffet by the pool each morning views were fantastic and food was alright. It’s a big buffet so hard to have super fresh. Room it’s was comfortable and quiet.

Niko is a nice spacious hotel with a few quirks that give it character. There are two pools one on the 9th floor which is knee deep and one on the 5th which is sufficiently deep for swimmers. The views from both pools are excellent and each has their oen bars. Sun beds on the 5th floor are for the early birds to "nab" but as the day progresses availability increases. We did not find any problem getting sun longers on the 9th. The hotel.also has a pontoon into the sea for sea swimmers and there is a small sandy beach which we did not use. The room lighting can be challenging so make sure you are fully briefed, we found it amusing but i see there are some complaints. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Overall, our stay at Niko was lovely. The staff is excellent – I was worried reading other reviews that we’d run into trouble getting the room we want and paid for or something, but we had no issues. They walk with you up to your room to ensure it is up to standard and everything – top-tier service! We did have an issue with our plunge pool initially. It made a loud gurgling sound that kept us up on our first night, but after telling the front desk the next morning they fixed it immediately, which was really appreciated. We did wish it was a hot tub instead of cold water. We pretty much did not use it at all because even with Greece’s nice weather, sitting in a pool of cold water was not that enjoyable. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Room service food was not the best, but the breakfast buffet was amazing in my opinion. As others have mentioned, a bit disappointing that this hotel isn’t actually on a usable sandy beach, but great beaches are literally just a 10-minute walk away. If you’re looking for that true resort, step right out onto the sand type place, however, this isn’t quite that. I imagine that’s probably why it’s a bit cheaper than some of the other resorts we were looking at. Overall, lovely place, staff, and stay!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, allerdings wenn man ein Zimmer mit einen Plunchpool ordert, sollte auf der Website hingewiesen werden, dass der Pool nicht beheizt ist und daher zu gewissen Jahreszeiten nicht genutzt werden kann, besonders da die Zimmer zum Meer keine Sonne abbekommen. Dafür sollte dann auch kein Aufpreis fällig werden. Das ist sehr schade.

I chose this becasue its a 5* that is walkable to Agios Nikolaos. The views are stunning. 2 Pools but I can imagine when the hotel is at capacity there is a bit of a scramble for beds. Although its called Niko Seaside - it doesn't have a beach - but there is a public jetty and a itsy bitsy piece of black sand just outside which I think would be fun. [Beaches in this area all seem to be quite small - Ammos beach for example is lovely but tiny.] I had a wonderful stay - everything you'd expect from a 5 star. The plunge pools are funny - they're like giant aquariums - you're on view to everyone and I'd say they're basically transparent jacuzzies - you can't actually plunge - but they're still lovely and in super heat they'd be a godsend.

Heerlijk hotel zonder kinderen. Fijn zwembad met een prachtig uitzicht. Eten was er ook super, vers uitgebreid ontbijt en heerlijke lunch. Je loopt zo het centrum in.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr schönes Hotel , welches in 2021 komplett renoviert wurde. Es war alles sehr sauber. Das Hotel ist ansprechend und modern gestaltet. Das Zimmer ist komfortabel eingerichtet . ( direkter Meerblick mit Balkon in der 4. Etage ) Das Personal und der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist sowohl in der Auswahl als auch in der Qualität der Speisen perfekt. Neben dem Hotel wird ein weiteres Gebäude errichtet. Der dadurch aktuell entstandene Baulärm wird sich natürlich nach Fertigstellung erledigen. Vor dem Hotel verläuft eine Straße , zwar mit wenig Verkehr, aber wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, sollte das wissen. Bei geschlossenem Fenster hört man nichts davon. Ich würde dieses Haus erneut buchen.

Room was very clean, lovely amenities, felt very luxurious. Delicious food, musicians at breakfast even! Would highly recommend it to all. Only low score was for eco-friendliness because we have no idea about their environmental considerations, and we were regularly served plastic straws wrapped individually in more plastic, and with Crete being windy the straws and wrappers were flying littering everywhere.

This is a lovely hotel with a great location, a good range of services and absolutely exceptional customer service. They were most accommodating to every need or question. My only ding is that I had to work a bit while there, and they don't have rooms with computer-friendly desks. Not an issue for most vacationers, but it was a problem for me. Scheduled another stay for next year!

Beautiful hotel. Only two issues: Very uncomfortable chairs in the bedroom. Any design like this which leaves your knees above your hips when sitting will cause back problems. And far too many switches. We were never sure whether we were opening the curtains or turning on the lights.
Beautiful hotel. Only two issues: Very uncomfortable chairs in the bedroom. Any design like this which leaves your knees above your hips when sitting will cause back problems. And far too many switches. We were never sure whether we were opening the curtains or turning on the lights.

I chose this becasue its a 5* that is walkable to Agios Nikolaos. The views are stunning. 2 Pools but I can imagine when the hotel is at capacity there is a bit of a scramble for beds. Although its called Niko Seaside - it doesn't have a beach - but there is a public jetty and a itsy bitsy piece of black sand just outside which I think would be fun. [Beaches in this area all seem to be quite small - Ammos beach for example is lovely but tiny.] I had a wonderful stay - everything you'd expect from a 5 star. The plunge pools are funny - they're like giant aquariums - you're on view to everyone and I'd say they're basically transparent jacuzzies - you can't actually plunge - but they're still lovely and in super heat they'd be a godsend.

This hotel is fantastic. The design is superb, maximising on the wonderful sea views. Overall, our stay at Niko was lovely. The staff is excellent – I was worried reading other reviews that we’d run into trouble getting the room we want and paid for or something, but we had no issues. They walk with you up to your room to ensure it is up to standard and everything – top-tier service! We did have an issue with our plunge pool initially. It made a loud gurgling sound that kept us up on our first night, but after telling the front desk the next morning they fixed it immediately, which was really appreciated. We did wish it was a hot tub instead of cold water. We pretty much did not use it at all because even with Greece’s nice weather, sitting in a pool of cold water was not that enjoyable. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Room service food was not the best, but the breakfast buffet was amazing in my opinion. As others have mentioned, a bit disappointing that this hotel isn’t actually on a usable sandy beach, but great beaches are literally just a 10-minute walk away. If you’re looking for that true resort, step right out onto the sand type place, however, this isn’t quite that. Stayed at NIKO for a long weekend in mid October - we had the BEST weather (sunny and warm but not too hot) and really enjoyed our time there. The views are just stunning (definitely recommend sea-view rooms). Great service and attention to detail. Breakfast buffet is excellent and all hotel staff from reception to bar/restaurant are incredibly nice and helpful. Thanks in particular to Manos, the night receptionist for being so helpful and welcoming when I arrived so early in the morning!

First of all, I sent an email a month ago to ask about private transportation from hotel to Heraklion port and if they can arrange it. I didn’t get any reply so instead of 2 nights I had to cancel one of the nights and book another hotel closer to the port. Lots of staff, and they seemed to be friendly however, not extremely helpful or go above and beyond. A lot of smirks and talking behind the desk when you ask questions…

Nice resort across the street from a beach where you can swim in the Mediterranean or just relax in a lounge chair. 5-10 minute walk to town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Stayed 2 nights it included a breakfast buffet by the pool each morning views were fantastic and food was alright. It’s a big buffet so hard to have super fresh. Room it’s was comfortable and quiet.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr schönes Hotel , welches in 2021 komplett renoviert wurde. Es war alles sehr sauber. Das Hotel ist ansprechend und modern gestaltet. Das Zimmer ist komfortabel eingerichtet . ( direkter Meerblick mit Balkon in der 4. Etage ) Das Personal und der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist sowohl in der Auswahl als auch in der Qualität der Speisen perfekt. Neben dem Hotel wird ein weiteres Gebäude errichtet. Der dadurch aktuell entstandene Baulärm wird sich natürlich nach Fertigstellung erledigen. Vor dem Hotel verläuft eine Straße , zwar mit wenig Verkehr, aber wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, sollte das wissen. Bei geschlossenem Fenster hört man nichts davon. Ich würde dieses Haus erneut buchen.

A great room and hotel, amazing breakfast as well. The only downside I can see was guests putting their towels on the sun beds next to the pool, and not occupying them - so not enough places for other guest. Hotel can easily treat it, while choosing not to
