Many guests enjoy the complimentary breakfast and on-site dining and bar, though a few found breakfast average or disappointing. Some note room size varies, beds can feel firm or dated, and minor maintenance or noise issues appear occasionally. Parking is available with valet and self-park, but a few report fees or confusion, and early check-in requests are not always met promptly. A hidden gem! I’m surprised by what I didn’t find at The Atherton: lack of attention to detail and lack of character. From the opening the door for you to the rubber duck in the shower, every step of our stay was a delightful surprise. The hotel’s rich wooden tones follow throughout the different dining and social spaces. Their bar drinks are outstanding; probably the best Cosmopolitan I’ve had in years. And while we’re at it, do not miss the complimentary breakfast. This place makes you feel pampered, rich, cared for and welcomed. My only regret is having stayed only 1 day. Whenever you go to Stillwater for business or fun, try to stay here first. The convenience, walk ability to anywhere on campus and the pampered attention, makes it worth it. You will thank me later. Have fun!

Hotel is great has a nice homey quiet feel to it. Furniture in bedroom is a bit banged up, but it’s clean and beds are incredibly comfortable! Limited options at restaurant, but guessing that it’s because it’s a small hotel on a university campus. My only complaint was that I requested early check in, however room wasn’t ready so we waited over an hour in their sitting room. I had to ask 3 times to get a ln answer of when they thought it would be ready, but the staff was very nice. When we asked what there was to do in the area, shops, restaurants etc we didn’t get a very useful answer just finger pointing and vague explanation that’s there’s stuff in every direction. (There’s nothing, really) It’s on a school campus, so that’s basically all there is. If you’re going to visit OSU specifically and don’t want to go/do anything else this is a good place to stay for the weekend

Amazing hotel. 5 star. Slight confusion over parking but it worked out. We were on motorcycles so no valet parking of course. We self parked in the lot (gates were open ) but when we went to leave in the morning the parking attendant wanted a ticket - which we didn’t have.

It was a wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable beds & pillows. Only thing I noticed was wallpaper in toilet room was coming loose and can easily be glued down again. That was in room 307 I believe. Thanks for making a very pleasant stay. We did not have time to eat there but hear it’s very good.

Didn’t feel the quality of the hotel as I have in my prior visit. The beds were horrible - so hard as were the pillows. Should put toppers on them. Went to the bar in the evening. Most of the staff stood around gabbing about personal drama. One was wearing even the wrong name tag and knew it. Stayed at another property for the rest of my visit.

I travel a lot but this hotel really stood out. It is very much part of the Oklahoma State University (OSU) and the OSU’s orange is a theme throughout. This hotel is perfectly situated for the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts. The Center is a spectacular venue and has brought some great performers to Stillwater. The hotel has a very high level of furnishings throughout. It also has a wonderful complimentary breakfast. The rooms are well appointed with the best coffee machine and biggest (orange) coffee mugs that I’ve ever found in a hotel room. All that being said, the stars of the show are the staff. All of whom were so friendly and helpful they made the stay really special.
