What guests think

Arya Blu Inn and Suites earns mixed reviews, with many guests praising the beachfront location, ocean views, and pleasant pool, while repeated complaints cite tight parking, a very minimal breakfast, patchy Wi‑Fi, and ongoing maintenance problems in an older building.

Rooms vary from recently updated and comfortable to worn and noisy, with recurring reports of faulty door locks, weak water pressure or hot water delays, loud or ineffective A/C, and confusion between “ocean view” listings and true balcony oceanfronts. Service is inconsistent: many note friendly, helpful front‑desk teams and housekeeping, while others describe rude or unresponsive encounters, slow check‑in, language barriers, and unclear deposits or fees. Expect a simple, budget‑minded beachfront stay where location leads and polish can lag.

This hotel was not a good experience!! It was in rough shape. The room we stayed in it looked like a dog had chewed the bottom of the bathroom door. There was a huge crack in the window. Paint was chipping off of almost everything. I mean I don’t understand why they charge a $100 deposit if they don’t use it to fix the rooms. Tbh eu also closed their pool at 8p.m. Like wow it’s barely even dark. I won’t be staying there ever again.

Nice pool. Good view. The ice machine was broken the entire time, and the staff didn’t care to fix it. My coffee maker was dirty and inoperable. The room wasn’t clean; they painted over dirty walls instead of cleaning them first. The beds are old and uncomfortable. They wanted a deposit on a room that wasn’t clean to begin with. My receipt claims they refunded my deposit for the room, but I haven’t received it yet. I wasn’t comfortable the entire time, but I’m very happy my kids enjoyed the swimming pool.

The location was perfect, right on the ocean. The pool was open but not heated. The outfoor shower was not working the icd machine was not working and the pop machine was not working. The free breakfast was a muffin, a piece of fruit and juice or milk. The sign was broken and that made it hard to find. The staff were very nice but they need to do some maintenance work. It was peaceful and quiet at night and we felt safe.

Room was clean. Bed was very soft and comfortable. It was an oceanfront room but had no balcony. That was a little disappointing. Parking the first day (Saturday )was good until about 4pm. After that it left a lot to be desired. Pool area was clean and kept up. Easy access to the ocean. I didn't partake but I did see coffee muffins and yogurt type items in the lobby. Everything worked in the room. Shower had hot water after allowing time for it to heat up but not overly warm in the beginning. The price was right. What interaction I had with staff was good.

The property has very poor conditions. The room we stayed had a strong smell of cigarettes, bed sheets had blood stains and lots of cigarette burns. The room entry door was very corroded and the self closing actuator was broken and super rusted. We were given 2 keys and of course one of them never worked. The bathroom was ok but the extractor was not working. Overall all I can say is I’d never stay there again and would never recommend anyone staying there.

The room was really large, much more than I expected! The separate, full kitchen was unexpected, also. The balcony provided a decent view of the ocean. The bed was comfy and seemed fairly new. The tile floors were really nice instead of old nasty carpet. There was a small sofa. The bathroom was nice and even had a rain shower head in the center of the tub…I’ve never seen that in a hotel bathroom before. Didn’t have time to go to the pool but it looked nice. The only negative for me was the promo said free breakfast but it was coffee, a muffin and fruit on a little table by the door.…not what I call breakfast. I would stay there again!

I was looking for a quick 2-day trip to relax on Ormond Beach, and it met my expectations. The location is outstanding, parking was readily available, and staff was accessible. On the negative side, it’s a very old property with decaying doors and furniture, and the WiFi doesn’t work. If you need to work while you’re on a mini-vacation, this isn’t the place for you. If you don’t, and you don’t mind an older property, it very well may be a good spot for you.

So this was a family trip for the 4th of July. Upon check in were were told that we had to speak with the worker that was coming on at 3pm to get a parking voucher, which was only like 20 minutes later. So when we went down to speak with this person, he was already in the process of being very rude and disrespectful to other guests including an elderly couple and a couple of women. He proceeded to tell everyone that they would have to pay $30 to park down the road from the hotel even though there were 6 open parking spaces at the hotel. Everyone was questioning why we would have to do that and he said that's how it is if you want to stay. He was questioned as to why nothing was mentioned about this or in writing anywhere and he just kept making rude comments and saying stay somewhere else. He kept laughing and smirking after being rude to everyone. I have never experienced someone like him when checking in a hotel before. My son tried to ask him a question and he told my son that he had nothing to say to him until he had helped everyone else first even though other people came in after us, he said my son would be last because he didn't want to speak with him. I asked another employee if he was the owner and she replied "no but he thinks he is and acts like he is" but no. This hotel definitely needs to hire another person and let him go because he is definitely bad for business. I will never choose to stay at this hotel again.

My experience with check in was terrible. We had to wait on the beach for 3hours to wait till 3pm to check-in. They told us rooms were not ready to come in back 15 minutes. We went back to the beach area went back to check-in 20 minutes later and then we had to wait in line another 25 minutes to check in after I was there first time in 15 minutes they made me to go to the back of the line again. First time we tried to check in we told them we wanted a bottom floor room then after waiting for a full 45 minutes or so we still did not get a bottom floor room and the people that were ahead of me they received bottom floor room after I waited for another 35 minutes for no reason at all they stuck me and my wife on the 2nd floor . Also the parking was very cramped It did not have room for pickup trucks to be able to park adequately. I can say that the beds were very comfortable but is about it.

Hotel is in a great location. However, there were some disappointments. The hotel is a little run down. Our room had a large crack in the window and the door on the bathroom looked like a large dog tried to claw its way out. The door to the hallway slammed shut very forcefully and the door to the balcony was difficult to open. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was a HUGE disappointment with coffee, small muffins individually wrapped, apples the size of plums and bananas. When asked if there was something for kids to drink I was abruptly told no. The room that is labeled as where the breakfast should be is being used as storage. There is a juice machine and other common breakfast appliances visible. There is however a Dunkin and IHOP in waking distance which we went to. We were never able to successfully connect to the WiFi. If internet is a need, consider a hotspot.
