Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/Georgetown Area

The hotel staff is amazing!! But one of the elevators were broke and only having 1 was a little challenging. Also, there is no parking except for valet and that is 60 a night. I parked 1 block over and walked back to the hotel after dropping all my items off. That was very irritating but the walk was doable.

They did not have enough parking for guests. We stayed for 3 nights and had to find offsite parking every day. Absolutely rediculous.

The front desk staff offered exceptional service, especially during check-in, where they kept us informed about upcoming upgrades to the TVs in each room, contributing to a secure atmosphere. However, it would have been preferable to be asked about our preference for a higher floor with a city view versus a courtyard view, as the latter presented a less-than-ideal perspective of surrounding structures, furniture, and sparse vegetation. Additionally, we noted that only one elevator was functioning properly.

Parking was full the first night and was more expensive then right next door.

Very nice front desk staff! Very quick with requests, helpful suggestions with dinner ideas, and parking when valet was full. My only complaint with this hotel was the not so nice valet when we arrived. How is valet full when you don’t have parking for your hotel!! Kinda dumb!

The hotel is clean, the pool is more of a large bathtub, nothing else to say

This was our second time staying here for a weekend getaway. Hotel is clean, staff is nice amd accommodating. Pool is on the smaller side but still pretty on the roof top. Will recommend for future.

Disappointed they had pool problems 3 out of the 4 days we stayed as that played a key role in our choosing this hotel.

The room was fine, but the tv volume was very low. There were also cockroaches by the pool.

One of the two elevators was out of service and the lobby and elevator were extremely dirty when we checked in. The room was also dirty and dated looking. We paid for a king bed and they put us in a room with 2 queens.

Wonderful customer service from check-in to check-out. Great, clean & comfortable room.

Very nice and clean rooms, staff was great, the food and bar downstairs is unbeatable.

Upon checking in there was dog food on our floor. One elevator was not working waited sometimes almost 5 minutes to get on. Also couldn’t enjoy watching tv because it would freeze and stay frozen until turning off tv.

I have stayed in so many hotels in DC for work but this one I really enjoyed! The front desk staff had the best service I think I have ever experienced. The room was so clean and comfy.

After paying for the week and noting on Hotels.com that are included all taxes and fees we were unpleasantly surprised when we arrive to the facility to learn that we not only would have to pay an incidental charge upfront, but it was $100 per night so an unexpected $500 hold on my debit card was not what we had planned for. Nor do I think it’s acceptable to not have that advertised as it should be. Your website states that there will be a credit card held, but it does not state an amount or the fact that they will actually take that amount from your available balance while you were staying. In addition to that we were hit with another fee of $60 per night to park, which is absolutely absurd, considering What we paid up to the standard of that charge that amount. Getting past all of the incidentals and parking fees to the business center order for one of my patients and realized that your business center has no fax machine. You have a computer and printer no pens no pencils no fax machine no assistance. What business center in 2025, not have a fax machine? When to wash clothes, washing machine and dryers that are coin operated with no change dispenser. Yeah again I was put out and had to find an ATM. long line of people waiting to wash the clothes with one washer first night arrived at Restaurant and was told they were out of multiple items. The air conditioner was broken in our room and TV was broken. Pool is not as pictured & roaches dead around.

Great stay / good value for money. Walking distance to Georgetown & GW Universities and DC sites. Hotel was clean, comfortable, friendly service

The staff were nice and the property was clean, comfortable and safe.

The alarm clock in our room was off by about 1:30. No instructions available to tell how to set the correct time. When I called the front desk, the guy chuckled and said he didn’t know how to set the time and would have an engineer come up. It 2as almost midnight so I said forget it. The room has terrible lighting if you want to read instructions on the safe, figure out how the coffee maker works, or any normal document. All lights are LED, which is great, but they are too dim to be worthwhile. I don’t think I should have to rely on my phone to read simple instructions in the room.

We arrived around 10:30 pm to spend a night over at hilton. The staff and check in was great; however the room temperature was at 55 Fahrenheit. We called the front desk and told that you have to wait for 15 minutes for the air condition to start and the room will ger warm in 10 minutes. The system did not kick in until we restart the thermostat and finally the room got a bit warmer by 2 am! The other point was not having a warm water to take shower in the morning which makes our stay complete. Saying these issues with the building, the staff and the area of the hotel was among the best in the area.

It was just okay. While the rooms were spacious, clean, and it was very walkable; broken elevator, broken coffee maker, and broken tv rubbed me the wrong way. Probably would not stay again.

Great value and quiet, clean, attractive space. Only issue was that I needed to have my HVAC reset to get warm air (engineer handled immediately), and then the only option was full blast fan (no low option). Decided it was comfortable enough just leaving the HVAC off for much of trip b/c hotel was warm enough to keep the room comfortable.

The room was beautiful with a great view of the courtyard.

Everything great until heat went out at 4am.

The staff was amazing! Only issue was that the dresser drawers were quite difficult to open/close, it felt like their tracks may need to be fixed. Otherwise an overall phenomenal experience.

Generally great overall and we will certainly consider staying here the next time we are in DC. Mattresses were a bit worn and so had a distinct slope while sleeping. Thermostat needs detailed instructions as we had problems keeping the room as comfortable as we liked. Something in the programming overrode our manual settings repeatedly and we could never figure out how to set it as we liked.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. There was a parking garage a couple of doors down so we didn't have to pay to valet. We were able to walk to the White House which was about a mile. The only complaint is that the thermostat seemed to be programmed so we woke up hot in the middle of the night one night.

The place was clean, and the person at the desk was warm and competent and swift. The furniture was in very good shape, including the mattress and even the pillows on the bed were relatively new. I appreciated the lighting options and the ample outlets, though the bathroom could have used just a bit more light; the one light around the mirror was good, but not quite bright enough. Shower and controls were good, the thermostat worked well and the heater was not too noisy. Wifi was very fast and hookup simple. Restaurant looks good and has good options, but it's very pricey, as is parking (Valey only). The gym was larger and more pleasant than most hotel gyms, and actually had three (3!) treadmills, and a nice collection of other equipment, all well-cared for.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service! Walkable to landmarks, we also used nearby train station to reduce walk time in hot weather. Staff was wonderful, helped us navigate the train system and helped when in need of anything. Neighborhood was safe and convenient with lots of dining options for families and a convenience store across the street. Pool is small and was crowded with teens while we were there, but it was nice for a quick dip on a hot day. Definitely recommend this for a trip to DC, especially with a family!

I stayed in May and left some objects in the hotel room. I called the same day and was told by the staff that my things were found. I was given an email address to send a shipping label for them to send my things to me. Three months later I have not received anything. I called so many times and spoke to several staff members and they give me the run around. Daria the manager never even called me back. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The staff had a pleasant demeanor but lacked communication which for me is bad customer service. I struggled with my bags because the Valet is also the bellman and security guard. I called down for tea in the morning to be sent to the room they said we had to come to the lobby to get it, fine. I packed my bags and went down to get tea only to be told oh, the tea is gone it’s over at 10am. Why wasn’t that communicated when I initially inquired. It was a if you don’t ask we’re not going the extra mile to telling you. We needed our key to use the elevator which is a pretty standard thing. However, to assume I knew that about that hotel was also poor. I realized because another guest was on the elevator with me so she pressed my floor for me with her key. I would have had my key out ready. Thankful someone was in the elevator to help. Also, we came in after midnight and was standing in the doorway locked out bc again you needed your key to access the hotel. We stood there trying to get the receptionist attention for what felt like forever because it was so cold before I looked around and realized I needed my room key. Upon check in I paid my balance that I knew was due only for her to tell me after that she held the deposit on that card as well. I was fully prepared to use a diff card for my deposit. I’ve never checked in to the hotel and they don’t explain what’s being done before doing it. Especially when it comes to charging your card.

water was shut off one night which was annoying and the manager was rude when asking for compensation

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Hilton Garden Inn,Georgetown area,Washington, D.C. The location is perfect — close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and the hotel felt very safe. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I especially want to thank Sajeda for her kindness and helpful attitude. She always greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting D.C. — great service, great location, and great people!

I have stayed in so many hotels in DC for work but this one I really enjoyed! The front desk staff had the best service I think I have ever experienced. The room was so clean and comfy.

Their server was down at check-in, but they switched to a manual system quickly. But they gave me 4 successive card keys that didn't work before sending a maintenance worker, who told me they were having trouble with their new key system and some doors not responding. So I went up and down the elevator 4 times, and waited my turn at the front desk 4 times, for a known issue.

Stayed here for a weekend. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Lots of great dining options nearby as well as the metro and walking distance to the mall and museums. Great stay.

Excellent location near Georgetown and historic places and monuments.

The property is in a good location in Georgetown neighborhood walking distance to good restaurants and main attractions.

Perfect location in West End surrounded by the best bakeries, a short walk to a metro stop, 10 minute walk to Georgetown, etc. Stayed for a total of 5 days and was beyond satisfied with my entire experience. Very clean, safe, and staff was friendly. Highly recommend! Will definitely be checking in again on my next trip to DC. Thank you for the awesome stay!

Nice hotel. Rooms were clean. About a 30 minute walk to the White House and 45 minutes to the Smithsonian museums.

There were a good amount of dining options in the area and the hotel is centrally located with easy access to other places in the city.

Hotel is beautiful. Hotel is in a safe area with lots of places to walk to around the hotel. Staff was amazing as well.

Great Location

The property and rooms were excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and conscientious. The restaurant staff at the attached Chef Geoff’s were not so great. I asked for a table for 4 and was told it was an hour wait. The host I spoke to was dismissive and rude. After waiting and returning an hour later, the situation wasn’t much better. Appetizers and a kid’s meal were delivered before our drinks finished coming to the table. If you don’t want children in your restaurant, don’t offer a kid’s menu. If you don’t want kids waiting, add a ‘make a reservation online’. Apparently, parents should only eat in their rooms… wouldn’t come back.

It was reasonably priced and very near my treatment at Georgetown medical center. The staff were always willing to help and food was great at Jeff George’s on the first floor. A Walgreen is right across the street which was convenient for my two week stay. I choose a room on the quiet side and literally couldn’t have asked for more. A+ for everything

My sister and i had a lovely stay. We are from DC, but no longer live there. This was the perfect place to reconnect with our beautiful city. The bonus was to have Chef George's Restaurant/ bar attched to the hotel lobby area. We enjoyed breakfast daily and a couple of delicious lunches and dinners. The staff was friendly and helpful and made our stay that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
