Golden Nugget Laughlin

We loved staying at the Golden Nugget Hotel, our stay was great. Rooms were very clean, loved having the patio for my dog. We all felt safe and enjoyed our visit. Onl downfall was the pool is only 3 1/2 feet deep, more like a wading pool. The casino was disappointing, it cigarette smoke was overwhelming, the tiny section they had allocated as smoke free was not smoke free. I would stay at the hotel again but would gamble at Riverside, they had a great smoke free section. Mohegan Sun anf Foxwoods in Connecticut are completely smoke free, not sure why these smaller casino can't be too! I fel sorry for their employee's.

Pool was too small for all the people there.

It was a great experience! The only problem was on the 2nd day the main elevator was down.

When I made my reservations for this trip. The Pet policy was $25 per night. When I arrived they charged me $80.00 per night. That was more expensive then my charge for the room. I want to dispute this charge.

Won’t stay again. First time staying here and booked two rooms. we got assigned rooms across from renovations! Air conditioners in rooms didn’t work, waiting hours for a resolution as they said they can’t give us new rooms unless maintenance signs off first. Got a new rooms at 8:30pm!! And then new rooms air conditioner didn’t drop the temp lower that high 70’s. Then woke up the next morning at 7am because they were renovating across the hall with banging and noise ! Good luck finding anywhere to park except the carport round about is so hot you can’t stand to be in there to unload. And the parking isn’t attached to the hotel! So you have to go to two parts of the hotel to get to your room. And then our keys were deactivated every single day sometimes twice a day and I had to get new ones each day. Then we requested housekeeping on Sunday and they only serviced one room! Even though we told them which rooms and front desk verified it back to us. Tubs would drain so slow, toilet clogged up one day and had to wait for maintenance again. They charge resort fees but literally no respect amenities. Staff doesn’t even bother to clean behind the trash cans in the bathrooms. Peeling wallpaper everywhere. Then at checkout they charged me $25 for a movie I didn’t rent (I never authorized room charges either!) and because it was watched for over ten minutes they wouldn’t void the charge. Who pays $25 for a movie and then doesn’t watch it? Anywhere is better than here

Elevator was down the whole weekend. It was a good think i was on the 2nd floor.

Unfortunately, no one told me that they were doing remodeling and construction on the rooms on the floor that I was put on. At 8 o’clock both mornings that I was there they started chiseling and pounding on concrete and the noise was so bad. I had to leave the room. When I reported it to the front desk, they wouldn’t move me to another room, but they waived the resort fees to compensate for it. I would’ve rather paid the resort fees and been able to sleep in my room after 8 o’clock in the morning. It made the stay rather uncomfortable. I enjoyed the casino and the staff. But I would not return until the construction is completed or make sure that I was not put on the floor two doors down from rooms that were being remodeled.

The elevator was not in service for the 2 days of my stay.

Pros: Nice, clean, professional staff and comfortable. Cons: Far for the nightlife, pool to small and wished more restaurants stay open later on the weekends. Not sure if this is a on going issue but the elevator was out of service.

The rooms were old and outdated. The room had a musty smell and there was no microwave which we count on during our stays anywhere. The outside has a sewer smell everyday. We decided to cut our stay short because we were not happy staying there.

Infested with ants. All over food and restroom. And couldn’t sleep the smoke alarm was going off. The slam was chirping.

My room smelled like dirty wet towels. Had a bug in my bed , shower was backed up and tile in bathroom was broken and lifted when walked on

It gets the job done, we just needed somewhere to sleep but the rooms are filthy. When we asked for someone to come clean our room on the second night of our stay, it was definitely a half assed cleaning job. When we first showed up to the room the first day, there were old fake eyelashes on our bathroom counter, so clearly they didn’t wipe it down. Makes me wonder what else they didn’t actually clean. If you walk around the room barefoot for even just a short couple minutes, your feet will get extremely dirty. Next year we will stay at either the Aquarius or Riverside.

Bad odor in room. Shower full of hair

I had seen a few videos that showed some dirty rooms but not in our case. It was great, it was clean and we had a wonderful two-night stay.

Our room was dirty upon checkin! Windows had caked-up dirt in the tracks. Air conditioning didn’t work which took forever to fix & Keuring machine didn’t work either! Stains on TWO separate sets of sheets, floor turned my sons’ socks black. No towels at the pool - you have to bring the ones from your room. Very disappointing for the price paid.

Start by saying hotel staff was top notch, casino was fine, hotel restaurants were great. Room was unfortunately dirty, stains on sheets and comforter which the staff did take care of. Bathroom tub and sink were stained and rusty, room smelt rough. All that being said it's on the cheaper end of hotels so I feel like I got what I paid for.

No hot water in our room for bath or shower.

Rooms are outdated, Air-conditioning did not work, everything you looked at in the room was dirty.

AC didn’t work. We called maintenance 3 times and they couldn’t fix it or put us in a different room. Maintenance recommended that we get moved to a different room. The front desk didn’t accommodate us. We were hot and miserable both days.

The room is nice very clean. I did not expect it to be that good. The restroom is very nice, clean, big they also have dispensers for shampoo, body wash n conditioner. The bed is very comfortable. The only issues is the air conditioner is noisy.

Enjoy the property, 1 big exception, came back to room after day of golf, and no hot water. Went to dinner reservation we stunk, not good. Next morning had to turn water all the way to hot to get warm to finally take a shower.

There’s was plenty of noise especially in above our room and in the hallway. As well it need better curtains to blackout the room.

The walls were very thin and heard people running up and down the halls all night. The wallpaper was peeling, carpet could use a good cleaning, and the shower a remodel. Wasn’t terrible but also expected a little nicer for a casino hotel. Felt safe, the bedding was clean, and the staff friendly at least.

The hotel was very clean throughout, both in the main entrance and on the casino floor. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating, where possible. The dealers were professional and engaging. The hotel room was clean and organized. The only challenge with the room was that the AC unit inside was very loud, louder than normal. It made it difficult to sleep. The other challenge with the room is that the hardwood floor would get slippery after someone took a shower. I think the steam from the shower made the floor slick. We had to be careful not to slip and fall. Over all it was a good place to stay, but I think I would ask for a room with a carpet.

Very comfortable beds.

Nice stay as usual. Easy check in. Friendly staff. Room was serviced every other day. Bed comfortable. AC kept up with the 100° temperatures outside. Pool bar service was excellent. Definitely would stay again.

They had the rooms available but in order to check in a little early, they wanted $30 and the people at the reception desk were not very polite or accommodating

Room was great! The hotel front staff were so helpful and sweet. My room was comfortable.

Upon arrival we had a horrible time checking in as they messed up our reservation. Even though we called The Golden Nugget personally on 3 separate occasions, they still managed to mess up our reservation and our initial lady did absolutely nothing to take care of it and said it was our fault. We asked to speak with a manager whom was even more unprofessional and continued to blame the problem on us and even lied and said that we never called, which we did 3 times. They said there was nothing they could do and they refused to help us. Upon bringing our stuff in, they absolutely refused to give us any assistance with a bell hop and stated that was only for the important and rich people, not people like us. As we continued taking our 4 trips to bring up our luggage, they kept laughing at us and snickering at us and that ultimately pissed us off completely! My husband went to the front desk and completely chewed them out for the complete unprofessional behavior and we asked to speak with the general manager of the entire hotel, Jared! Thankfully the general manager lit fire up the desk managers butt and he finally got us half the rooms we asked for, connected, but not the courtyard patio Terrance and ADU that we payed for. Additionally the drama from staff continued as they placed us in rooms that were across from construction which started at 6:00am in the morning which woke up our entire family! We don’t recommend the Golden Nugget!

Both Hotels.com and front desk charged us resort fees. When shown to the front desk they could have cared less. Said sorry and left the charge as is. Being in the AZ and NV border was confusing enough and to add to it the hotel never changed their clock for daylight savings time so we were a mess trying to get to appointments because you couldn’t always rely on the time switching on your phone when traveling back and forth. Our room was double digits to add a dog was triple digits. I asked if they had a dog park w rides for that price.

The customer service at the front desk was not very friendly, welcoming, or informative. I had questions about my room charges and the original front desk lady, was not helpful. I had decided to go back to the front desk the next day and i did get someone to help.

Savanna at the front desk and the 2 Bellhops were outstanding. Jose was one of them but I can’t remember the other one's name.

I love that the casino is separated from the accommodations so the smell never gets to the rooms. It is also laid out nicely fo that there is not too far to walk to get to the rooms and/or casino. Very pleasant and helpful registration staff.

Unable to use river walk, no through access without going to the street

It was close by to everything.

Stayed for three nights absolutely loved it lots of restaurants on site. Lots of restaurants around the property within walking distance. Parking was very easy. Staff was very nice and not too far from the strip if you wanted to go.

This was an enjoyable stay for the price! It was not perhaps the most luxurious, but it was really a great stay. Lots of stuff on the property to do even though I don't go to the casino. Easy to park! And everything was fairly close.

Great casino. Steak house was top notch.

Rooms are dated, but sufficient. Front desk and housekeeping staff were attentive and friendly. There is nowhere on site to obtain food after as early as 8:00pm some evenings and 10:00pm on the weekends.

For our first time stayimg there we loved it. We love eatimg at Bubba Gump.

We got there at 10:05, and there wasn’t anywhere to get a sandwich. We had to over to Riverside to get something to eat!

i would absolutely change cooks at the Claim Jumper , food was very expensive and not well made , for the price they charge i expect to have the food cooked the way i want and to be outstanding in taste and quality, this was not the case. i will not eat there on my next visit,

No place to get coffee in the morning. There was only one kerig cup. Parking confusing when you turn in.

I’ve been staying at the Golden Nugget for 10 years and I love it there. It’s not very big so easy to get around. I love the pool area and the rooms are always clean. I’m not a big gambler so I can’t comment on the Casino at all. The food choices are good, there’s a Claim Jumper, a coffee shop/deli and then Saltgrass Steakhouse for dinner. I highly recommend the Nugget!

Restaurants are great. I am handicapped and could park by elevator down to check in. Not much walking.

Free covered parking, nice room with comfortable bed, pretty good food options and good casino- will stay there again!
