Dunmore Inn

Property looks exactly like pictures. Rooms newly remodeled and attractive. Small but functional bathroom. Missing some amenities of chain hotels, most notably coffee in the room, breakfast. Parking lot well lit with security cameras. A comfortable stay. Like others have mentioned, we stayed on a Saturday night and the price was double the other day of week cost. Still less expensive than nearby chain hotels.

Updated simple motel was clean and convenient. Area is busy highway but some stores and restaurants are not far away. Bed was comfy, fridge, microwave and coffeemaker were appreciated.

Though it looks like a 1950's one- story motel, they've revamped it and it's in fine shape inside and out. :)

Very nice motel, well kept, comfortable and very affordable. If you are are looking for a nice place to stay that doesn't have all the bells and whistles, this is your place.

Stayed here for three nights (Fri-Sat-Sun). Front desk normally shuts down around 11, but they stayed open later to check us because we called and explained we were coming from far away, which was helpful/needed. The room itself was as-advertised (king bed, fridge, microwave, newer AC unit, etc.) but quite small. The bathroom in particular was cramped, and the shower stall was about 2' x 2'. I was borderline banging my elbows the whole time, and If I were bigger/taller, I literally wouldn't have fit. The walls are also very thin, and I think it was the cleaning staff in the next room who were making a lot of noise one morning; it woke me up. There also was no ice machine that I could find on the premises or an ice bucket that I saw in the room, though a very nearby gas station had ice. Otherwise, the location is good and secure (away from foot traffic) easy highway access, just north of Scranton. I'd stay here again if I was back in the area, but while the room was in good condition and looked to have been recently remodeled, it's pretty utilitarian, not a luxurious experience. The only other complaint I had was that there were a bunch of small, dead winged insects like large gnats on the comforter when we arrived -- probably that has gotten in through the vent or when the door opened -- but it was a bit gross and caused me to raise an eyebrow.

Excellent independent Inn. Conscientious proprietors keep the property spotless. Small but Extraordinarily comfortable king room with refrigerator and microwave. I wish there were a lot more places like this fairly priced no nonsense room for a traveler to stop at for a good nights sleep before hitting the road again.

At first glance I was slightly concerned with it being small and the cars being parked right outside the hotel room door however, my check in was easy and the man (owner I think) was very pleasant and apologized for having me wait perhaps a little longer than normal but I wasn’t complaining because he was outside shoveling the freshly fallen snow from the walkways and mind you, this was at 11 pm. The room was CLEAN and I mean extremely clean. There was not a single hair, smudge, toothpaste spatter, fingerprint etc. I am a fanatic for room cleanliness and this surpassed my expectations. The room was cute and had exactly what was needed for just a short weekend stay (microwave, fridge). I don’t know about other rooms or the style or sizes of other rooms but my room was a single bed, king I think but maybe queen and the bed took up basically the whole room which was fine, for my needs, at the time. If traveling with any children I’d have to see if there are other room sizes because the one I had would not have been suitable if I had any of my rambunctious kids with me. Overall I don’t have any complaints and enjoyed my stay at the Dunmore Inn. I think it’s very literally the cleanest room I’ve stayed in, in years and with a very affordable price you just can’t go wrong.

Older motel that has been newly remodeled. The rooms are modern colors with tasteful updating such as new beds, new composite floors, new furniture and fully remodeled bathrooms. The showers have new ceramic tiles, instead of less expensive plastic enclosures. Our room was very quiet and squeaky clean. You get value for your money here. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The room was in great condition and the bed was very comfortable but the shower was too small like a square and uncomfortable and the room was very dusty like if no one stayed there for a while. It wasn't smelly so I liked that. Not bad for one night. room was very dusty

Nice clean Room. There are no night stands on the sides of the bed. No bed lamps. Nice table but no plugs for phones to charge. No wall plug on right side.

Great place for a nights sleep. Internet popped off on the 2nd night. But office hours were closed. Made do.

Perfectly modern, clean, safe renovated motel property at a reasonable price. Everything you could want for basic overnight accommodations, including a very good king sized bed. My wife enjoyed the best sleep she's had in months. If you are very tall or heavy it might be a little bit small in the bathroom.

Felt like we got taken based on the photos we saw while booking. This is a motel with exterior doors that aren’t sealed where bugs can easily get in. A/c makes a lot of noise. Showers and bathrooms are tiny and horribly generic. Cheap handyman used to refurb these rooms. Way too expensive for what you get. Maybe worth half of the $112.00 that we paid.

It was a little too small space wise. Bathroom felt like a phone booth, no self around sink. Average room, a bit pricey for what you get. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Modern, simple decor, spotlessly clean, with comfortable bedding in an updated old-school motel. The owners were very nice.

Horrible service. Lady behind the text was absolutely rude. I had unexpected charges that I did not sign up for. They did not let me know about housekeeping and just walked into my room without asking. Shower made it feel like I was prison. Bed was super uncomfortable and stiff. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel with horrible service and room uncomfortablity, then this is your hotel

The property itself is good for a one night stop over. The room was clean. They were very pushy about check out and called our room at 10:59 (checkout time was 11) and then proceeded to pound on the door about 10 min later as we were heading out. Considering we were the only patrons at the motel at the time I found it very unnecessary to be that pushy and actually ended up staying a second night elsewhere due to the bad taste left in my mouth from that exchange

2 'surprises'. 1st was that you HAD to have a 'cash' security deposit. While I did have the cash on me, not everyone would. 2nd, in order to get my 'cash' back, the room was 'checked'. While I understood, we were literally there for 12 hours, only slept there it was basically 3 women (myself and 2 daughters). I'm a Residential/Commercial Property Mgr so I understand the need for security deposits & I MORE than understand what tenants can do to a property so I leave rooms very tidy. I don't leave the place with water everywhere, basically I do NOT leave it a mess and I consider myself a good tipper. I have never, in all of the hotels, motels, inn's, ever had the room have to go back & 'checked' in order to check out.I know the world is changing & I have no problem changing with it, but whomever checks in here specifically, prepare for the requirement that you have to provide a cash security deposit & there is no exception per the signs. Then in order to get it back when you check out, they will check the room first, again, I had no problem with it, as I had nothing to hide & I had no thoughts that I would not get the security deposit back, I just want to make sure people are prepared. I believe people SHOULD take care of other people's property and SHOULD not destroy something that doesn't belong to them so I don't blame the property for this requirement. The room and fixtures etc were beautiful & comfortable.

The Dunmore Inn is a great place to stay. Close to a lot of different things. Easy to get items all real close by. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Price is good as well.

Clean, unpretentious, friendly, and accessible. Easy off/on highway.

Address on Expedia incorrect. Wasn't anywhere near property. Took almost an hour to find it. Person in room next to us so loud was awake from 2am until we decided to leave at 6:15 am.

Was a great place to pull up for the night. Close to McD's and Starbucks. Clean and quiet.

Was in a good location very quiet and clean. Only stayed for one night but if we go back to that area would definitely stay again.

It was a nice room and the motel was close to where I did the event I came to Scranton for.

It is an economical and convenient place to stay in our travels each year from VA to ME. We like motels so we can park our vehicle right outside our door

No tissues, towels were rough, no coffee maker had to wait until 7:00 am to get coffee in lobby. Only one night stand. 2 wallplugs available. Only given 2 facecloths and 2 towels and when asked for more we were questioned as to why. Room was very clean

Easily located and accessible from the highway. Extremely clean and visibly updated throughout. We felt like no one else had even stayed there before, it was so fresh! Check in was a breeze. They even had a Keurig with 2 pods of coffee provided! Perfect one night stay.
