When we arrived at the Davis Motel, we were shocked to see the condition of the motel on the outside and in the parking lot, which was full of trucks and cars in the middle of the day! In my opinion the place was a pit, but the manager WAS very nice. He seemed to understand why we didn’t want to stay there. He suggested that we look in a room, which I did. It appeared to be reasonably clean, but the desk/dresser looked like it had been moved in from a junkyard.The lady at the hotel down the road,,where we ended up staying, told me that she had heard tales of bedbugs at the Davis Motel. I just can NOT believe that it got such high ratings with other customers on hotels.com!

Went with a friend for the Canfield fair, front desk person was very nice, even offering us each a complementary drink to go with the room. The rooms were nice and basic, as long as you don't mind a more low key and old school motel I'd say it's a great choice. The room and beds were clean, and again, for the price it is hard to go wrong. We specifically love the old school vibe of a local small motel so if you're into that, give the place a shot! The soap was the ONLY part I wasn't crazy about, but I usually expect almost all hotel/motel soap to be lackluster so I brought my own. It is fine for hand washing, but a nice lather is lacking in the shower.

Staff great. Do not be deceived by the outdoor appearance which looks dated. The rooms are very clean; nice bedding and pillows, very simple. Bathroom totally functional. Great value for the price and superb location. I'm very happy I stayed there. And the air conditioning, one of those wall units, was reasonably quiet. Parking easy.

Was not happy when I got my key and went to the room. It was just a bedroom door lock and key. One bed had some hair in it and had a few stains on the sheets. Went back to office to get new sheets and she was a bit sarcastic when giving new sheets which she had to go look for in a closet(in a bundle, not folded). The shower had rusty shower curtain holders ( plastic ones are cheaper) and there was mild in the corners of the shower. About a whole tube of caulking used to seal the toilet to the floor. Overall, not a good experience. VERY SURPRISED IT HAD A 9.0 rating. Only reason I booked it. Big mistake.

I checked in late but the woman at tbe desk was very friendly and helpful, and the "welcome bag" with bottled water and snacks much appreciated. The room was dated, but very clean.
