Loved our stay here in Vive. Breakfast- bread, oatmeal, eggs, muffins, alternating sausage/bacon/longanisa, coffee, hot and cold tea is a great plus as well as the complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrella and beach mats. Use of hotel resort fees that’s actually beneficial to guests. Short 3-5 minute walk to the beach, food trucks, and abc stores. Helpful and courteous staff. No swimming pool, hot tubs or gym. A short 5 minute walk to trolley stops. Will definitely come back to stay here again.

Staff were great, especially Arnell and the other valet attendants who made the valet parking easy with no delays. The breakfast was really good and the provision of beach equipment which included boogy boards towels, chairs beach bags, mats etc made going to the beach 2 minutes walk away really easy. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and of course, great beaches nearby.

Great hotel in great location. Only hotel i stayed in US that you got value from amenity fee. Good breakfast. 24 hr hot drinks and microwave. Rooms that had windows that opened and great value. Would recommend to anyone

The only part I didn't like was that there was only one valet who was also the bellman. While there were no major delays, I was concerned that the service would be slow due to the fact that the same person took care of parking my car and getting my luggage to/from my room.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Decent breakfast, too! Would have loved scrambled eggs though. Anyways, the pineapple juice in lieu of orange juice is amazing! All the fruits and pastries were great! The valet parking is a little tricky, but the workers there were attentive and informative! Shout out to Arnel, Chad, and the other valet people for being so quick and helpful! Everyone here made the stay extra great! Would definitely stay here again! Also, the coffee window shop across the street was an extra perk! I had coffee there in addition to the coffee at the hotel everyday! It’s also a 5 min walk to the beach! The beach supplies provided was an excellent touch as well! Chairs, mats, bags, towels, and sun care items. Def recommend staying here.

The hotel and staff were great. the only thing I wish they had was a pool. Breakfast everyday was great. Always friendly staff. well kept property. Loved being able to have towels, chairs and other items to take to the beach.

Really cute boutique style hotel. All staff were friendly. Housekeeping was missed in our room a few times(over a 7 day stay) but we weren\'t really bothered by that. Really good breakfast with some sort of eggs(either premade omlettes) and either bacon or sausage. Lots of fresh fruit, oatmeal and little turnovers, croissants, buns, muffins, bread. 24 hr access to microwave, coffee and tea in the lobby. The filtered water dispensers were a godsend and saved us from having to buy bottled. Only a minifridge in the room. Thought I would miss having an inroom coffee maker but not a big deal. We booked a "suite" which was basically 2 rooms connected with a doorway(no door) but the 2 bathrooms was a godsend with 3 people! The hotel has beach towels,chairs,umbrellas, cooler bags, beach mats for patrons to use. Use your room key to access the room, no need to sign anything out. The neighbourhood was perfect for a group of 7 and no car. Everything was walkable. I only wish there was a reasonably priced grocery store nearby. We bought healthier snacks(apples, yogurt etc) at the Waikiki Market which would be comparable to a Whole Foods vibe. There are at least 4 food trucks within a 1 or 2 block radius. The beach is 2 blocks away. There\'s a city bus stop right outside the hotel door. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend Vive!

Would stay again! I really only scored down for cleaning points. The air filter on the wall above the tub is covered in a heavy dust layer. All fins are not visible due to the caked on dust. The ceiling of the shower actually had a few hairs on it. Everything else however appeared to be clean. I will say that the staff are wonderful people. Very helpful and informative.

Overall, we had a very positive experience at this hotel. The location couldn’t be better – just a short 3-minute walk to the beach, with plenty of shops and restaurants right around the corner. The staff were warm and welcoming, always responding to our questions in a calm and professional manner. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good variety: boiled eggs or omelets, bacon or sausages, a nice selection of pastries and breads, and a fresh assortment of fruit such as watermelon, pineapple, papaya, and melon. We also appreciated the complimentary beach gear – although the chairs were a little worn, it was still very convenient to have them available. Our deluxe ocean-view room was pleasant, though a bit compact. The furniture showed some age, but the bathroom was in excellent condition with no signs of mold. The linens and towels were fresh and clean, while the carpet could have been a little less dusty. Overall, the hotel offers great value with its prime location, friendly staff, and thoughtful amenities.

There was ants coming in through my window- I turned on the AC and that seemed to get rid of the problem. A couple of corners around the hotel were dusty including the TV area and sink. Overall, the location of the hotel was amazing it’s a good spot that’s walkable to other areas around waikiki.

Location was great. Staff was excellent and the breakfast was delightful. Valet was extremely exceptional. For rate we paid for our room and upgrade the carpet was old and stained. The baseboards were stained. The stand for the refrigerator was old. The housekeeping was clean and did their very best to keep the room tidy. A higr disappointment on how the room looked for is price.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The amenities were excellent. An extensive breakfast was provided each morning and coffee, tea and water were available all day. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas were free to use. The location was very walkable..to the beach and local eateries. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

How this property earned a 9 rating is truly a mystery…hallways were hot and lacked the cleanliness noted in other reviews. The room had a non functioning window ac unit leaving the room unbearably hot thru much of our abbreviated stay. Room cleanliness was not acceptable with filthy carpet being a prime concern with the stench of sewer gas in the room was overwhelming. The facility lacked dining and a bar with the staff suggesting that our best option was to search out a food truck. Individuals were sleeping near the entrance. We chose to stay one evening before abandoning our paid reservation to seek out suitable accommodations elsewhere on the island. On a positive note the desk attendants were cheerful and attempted to be helpful but their great attitude could not possibly overcome the deficiencies of the facility. In no way would I recommend the property, as for a rating…a 6 would be more appropriate.

I liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. I didn’t like how small the room was and it was also noisy due to the street noise. There was a window unit air conditioner, which was also loud.

The staff is great! The breakfast was also nice to have. The hotel provided towels and accessories for beach days which was very nice. The rooms are just a bit dated and very small. The restrooms in particular are super small, like the restrooms in a stater room on a cruise ship. A bit let down by the rooms but overall a pleasant experience.

I stayed 4 nights with my wife after staying other major brand hotel. It was a bit out-dated construction just like other big or small hotels in the same area. The room was clean but a bit small/cozy which might be less merited for some people. We loved this hotel though. With reasonable price, all staffs were extremely kind and helpful. The location of the hotel was fantastic where all major attractive location including beach side, malls and restaurants were located in just few minute walking distance in Waikiki area. The hotel provides a breakfast and all beach stuffs (towels, floating boards, outdoor mats and folding chairs) made us so easy to grab. They also provide coffee and teas all the time, very convenient. Overall, we were so satisfied during our stay and highly recommend here.

The staff was great and it is a good value. The rooms are very small and dated. the windows are an older style single pane which made the room loud and difficult to sleep. The room also had an in wall AC which was loud as well. Again, great value, but the Expedia 8.8 star rating threw us off. We have stayed at many properties in the area that had a similar rating and they were much nicer, but were also more expensive

I\'ve stayed at the Vive a few times before, and though the lobby area remains modern and immaculate, the rooms themselves are quite dated. From the stained furniture to the cracked bathroom fixtures to the noisy ac (and dripping ac from above), the room was definitely not as comfortable as one would hope or remember. The front desk staff and valet for parking were all super friendly and took the time to answer any questions we had. The breakfast was also good, they had a variety of breads/pastries and fresh fruits as well as eggs and sausages. What we really loved was we had told the front desk staff we were doing the Diamond Head hike at 6am and they separated a breakfast box for us to pick up at 4:30am, which I thought was very thoughtful and a nice detail since otherwise we would have missed breakfast. Rooms were also clean and well looked after, they even had robes which was nice, and from our room we could see some views of the ocean! We were also only a block and a half away from the beach (plus hotel provides you with beach towels, chairs, beach mats, sunscreen, etc) and all the shopping so it was very convenient staying here. Overall, we loved our stay here and highly recommend others to stay here as well! We know we will in the future :)

Great and friendly staff. Special thanks to Quintin who saved our day. Ride back to hotel in an Uber and realized that I had dropped my phone in the car. Wife phoned it but the ringer was on silent. We were very concerned when Quentin said you can use “find my phone” with a desktop computer. He searched and I entered my ID and the Uber driver call back to my wife’s phone and 5 minutes later he showed up with my phone. Quentin you saved me. My boarding passes were on the phone as well as tons of personal information. Thanks my man!!

From checking in to checking out the staff were kind and Helpful. Shout out to Roger who we met during check in, helpful and friendly. The VIVE was located a near the beach, shopping and local food places. The staff were polite and friendly. We were warmly greeted by valet Arnel and checked in by Rachel at the front desk. This is a great hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was fantastic with lots of gluten free options. The hotel is close to the beach, shopping and amazing food. The bus is right outside to go to many of the attractions around Waikīkī. Rooms are on the small side but you don’t come to Waikīkī for the room so it suited us just fine.

There was no ventilation in the bathroom. Also the bathroom was small. The breakfast buffet was extensive but extremely crowded. People were sitting all the way up to the front door to get a seat. Some were standing. They offer beach towels and umbrellas which is good. Very close to the beach. It’s just an average hotel. No frills.
