Reviews of Americana Inn - Henderson describe a budget, older property with friendly staff in a small-town location, where experiences vary widely between convenient, comfortable stays and reports of maintenance issues, odors, safety concerns, and significant cleanliness problems.
Facilities feedback is split: the pool ranges from a highlight with a slide to closed or poorly maintained, and some mention ample parking but occasional issues like an inoperative ice machine. Rooms are generally dated, with recurring notes about gaps at exterior doors, weak or noisy HVAC, broken locks or TVs, and occasional noise, though many report comfortable beds and some refreshed rooms. Expect basic, no-frills lodging that can offer value if you receive a refreshed room and everything is working.

All in all, the hotel is fine. I needed it for one night, and the price was right. I think the hotel has been where it is for a long time, and the neighborhood around it has changed, not for the better. But at the same time, being in a commercial area makes it a convenient location. The only two clear negatives for me were the pool being closed for renovation, and the air conditioner making the window curtains billow and gap open. I solved that by taking one of the couch cushions and wedging it in the space so the curtains would stay put. But obviously, that situation should be looked at. Before checking out the next morning, I looked forward to coffee in the lobby, since there was no coffee provided in the room...but while I did see a coffee dispenser, it was open and empty. Oh well. I went down the road to a breakfast place that was open. I was comfortable at the Americana and enjoyed a good night's sleep.

We booked this hotel because of the pictures of the big water slide at the pool. Our granddaughter was super excited about it. When we arrived, there was no water slide. The room was dirty and hot. We turned on the A/C and 6 hours later it was starting to cool down. Continental breakfast was very limited.

The property has a reception area resembling a 4 star hotel. Rooms are typically motel style. Only downside was the missing sink plug. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a nice choice of food, especially the mixed fruit option. Had a pool with a waterslide that would be appreciated by those with children. A pleasant 2 night stay.

Very comfortable beds. Quiet the night we were there. The staff accommodated our first floor request. No ice machine but the front desk gave us a small package of ice. We were told the new owners are no longer serving breakfasts.

Whole property and its surroundings are sketchy. Zero chance you leave your car doors unlocked here. Pool was a puddle of festering green water likely harboring an army of mosquitos. Room smelled of cigarettes, hair all over the bathroom sink, toilet seat fell off. The power button and other buttons of the tv remote were ripped off. Hardwired smoke detector was missing from the ceiling with bare wires sticking out. Lots of nefarious looking folks seemingly living in this place. I would say do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, but it’s the only hotel in town. One star ONLY because the desk staff were pleasant. Otherwise this place needs torn down and relegated to the waste bin of history.

Don't do it!!! This hotel is disgusting. The bedding was so dirty. Yellow crusty spots on the sheets and filthy pillows The floors didnt looked vacuumed. The towels were all stained and yellow. There were holes all over in the walls. I have photos of all this. I would add them if I could.

If I could give zero stars on this hotel I would. I was hesitate on booking this hotel but it’s the only one located in Henderson, Tennessee. And after reading the reviews of how they were renovating and that the place was clean, I decided to give it a shot. I walked through two different rooms and both were complete disgust. Live and dead bugs all throughout the room. The first room was carpeted with several stains and the carpet did not even go all the way to the wall. You can only imagine how many bugs were in that space. The second room was not as nasty but still disgusting. I ended up telling them I was not staying there and got a room 30 minutes away. They only refunded a portion of my expense. I DO NOT recommend this hotel and I’m not sure who is writing the reviews but I’m assuming they are fake people.

Front desk was great. Got into the room and it smelled horrible. I sprayed the room with freshener but it came back after 2 hours. Bathroom was not very clean. Furniture with missing pieces. See pics. Then got ice and found a cockroach in the ice. Highly do not recommend staying here.

No soap or shampoo in dispensers in shower. Towels were so thin you could almost see through them. No hair dryer or stopper in sink. Key card would not work in the first room we were assigned. Had to go back to front desk and they assigned us a different room.

The staff were very friendly and professional but my room had nothing but a microwave and mini fridge and a TV that didn't work. I had a suite which was why I felt a little perplexed. The room was ok, but there was dirt and hair in the bathroom. A kettle or coffee pot to heat water would have greatly improved the stay, if nothing else

The room was generally ok, but there was no running water in the shower the afternoon I arrived so I was not able to shower before visiting people I had come to see. The water was restored to reasonable flow overnight, so I was able to shower the next morning. Also, noisy construction work was occurring one or two doors down, all day both days, so I was not able to study or nap in my room.

The room was very antiquated. Looked like a room from the 1970s. There was a one inch gap under the door leading to outside allowing bugs and other pests to enter. There was a used plastic fork on the floor next to the table when i arrived. I would recommend driving 17 miles up the road to stay in Jackson. This is what I will do I ever have to stay here again.

Overall, the stay was good. The lady who checked us in is very kind and helpful. My only real complaint is the housekeeping staff pounds on the door at 8am when we were trying to sleep in. We told them we were still in the room and wouldn’t be leaving until later, but they still came back around 30 minutes later, knocking again. 8am is too early to be pounding on doors and waking people up that may want to sleep in.

Driving into the property was not a good first impression. When we went to check in the lobby smelled terribly of smoke. A guest of the hotel was walking in with ammunition attached to his belt. We knew right away this wasn’t the place that felt safe for our grandchildren. We left the premises and didn’t stay. This was sad as the children had been traveling for hours and had to continue on until we found a suitable safe place to stay.

The Overall stay was very good. The only negitive was actually a big one. The continental breakfast was very weak.....at best. I think more could have been provided.

We booked this hotel because of the pictures of the big water slide at the pool. Our granddaughter was super excited about it. When we arrived, there was no water slide. The room was dirty and hot. We turned on the A/C and 6 hours later it was starting to cool down. Continental breakfast was very limited.

Very comfortable beds. Quiet the night we were there. The staff accommodated our first floor request. No ice machine but the front desk gave us a small package of ice. We were told the new owners are no longer serving breakfasts.

The stay was fine but the only items available for breakfast were apples, fruit cups and cheerio's. The second day there was a half a loaf of bread also.

We really enjoyed our stay. The manager was very nice and helpful. It's very quiet and peaceful. Our room was good. The air-conditioning worked very well. The room was clean. The only issue I had was that the mattress was a little too firm.
