Amoray Dive Resort

Even though it is right off the main road, the resort was surprisingly quiet. Excellent view of sunset. Nice pool and mini beach with chairs. No way to get into and swim in the ocean. They had stand up paddle boards and kayaks. Also jet ski rentals. Staff was friendly. Room was spacious and very clean. Our AC didn’t work great but wasn’t an issue since we were only there 1 night. We got breakfast from the food truck on site and ate at the tables by the beach. Cute place to stay at in Key Lsrgo

Renovated rooms were fantastic with nice amenities including refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Grounds were meticulous right on the water with a nice pool and a small Beach with kayaks and bicycles.

Great place to stay. Just stayed the night on the way back from Key West but it was a nice place. We paddle boarded and enjoyed the view and the pool. The shower was not the best water pressure but other then that nice stay

Very good quality rooms, great instructors such as Tessa and Art,they let you kayak with borrowed oars, doneeol organized diving events. Only thing missing is a gym. They even feed the cats on their property.

We've always just driven through Key Largo and down further into the Keys but decided to stop this time. Best decision ever! Not only is the staff very friendly & informative upon arrival, they're very accommodating for last minute changes (ex: for us a late check out). The pool is the perfect temp for all, the sunsets are amazing (lots of area to watch it so you don't feel like you're stepping on someone else's toes) & overall just a great property. The only negative we had was lack of parking. We were one of the rooms closest to where the boat goes out for diving & most of the time was unable to park near our door because we noticed one truck was parked there & went down to the boats & a few others were divers. Overall, great stay and we will be back.

Really wonderful resort stay. Access to kayaks and paddle boards was a great complimentary service. Room had been recently remodeled and was very comfortable. Looking forward to a longer stay next season.

Staying at Amoray Dive Resort was a pleasurable experience. Making a reservation online was easy. They even responded quickly to my request for a ground level floor since they don’t have elevators and my husband and I have trouble with stairs. They replied within 30 minutes after I made the reservation. The room was very nice and clean. I don’t know if it was recently remodeled, but it looked like it was. We were only there for 3 nights and I was sad that I hadn’t been able to check out the pool. So I went to the office to request a 1pm late checkout ($20 fee) and they said it was no problem. When I got to the pool, there was a scuba class (only 2 students) in session in the pool. It was interesting to watch. The ocean view from the pool area was spectacular! The pool area was nice and clean and beach towels are provided. If you’re going to the Keys during the off season, I highly recommend the reasonably priced Amoray Dive Resort. Thank you for making our 21st Anniversary and 1st time stay on the Keys easy and a memorable one!

Rooms were clean but smelled heavy of bleach. The property is a little dated and could use a little update but overall very nice. Kayak launch is easily accessible but definitely not a “beach area” for swimming.

Beautiful location, laid back vibe, free use of kayak and paddle board, pool. Gorgeous sunsets on the Gulf. They also offer trips a day for snorkel or scuba. We will be back!

Requested towels never received them. Since office closed at 5:30, did not get a chance to personally go in and speak to associate. Having small kids, really needed the towels. Pool was also dirty, very cloudy. 2 occasions we tried to use the pool in the morning, it was occupied by a diving class.

So first impression wasn't great. Mold is obvious all over the floors and bathroom and coukd smell it. We refused to walk barefoot. The pleasant surprise was watching the sunset in the pool! As well as, complimentary laundry machines. We would've loved to use the paddleboard but it didnt have a beach opening without all the "seaweed" which I know is out of their control. Bed and Pillows were comfortable and AC worked well.

Staff was friendly. A little disappointed in the room. Pictures are nicer. Bedroom and bathroom weren't cleaned well. Could definitely hear the room upstairs walking around. The property is nice outside pool is nice as well.

the tv remote is sticky and filthy.The table was also sticky

I loved that they had bikes and kayaks that we could use. The beach area was also very nice. Our room was very clean. (We arrived shortly after it was cleaned, and actually had to open a window to clear out the smell of bleach. I imagine if we arrived later, the smell would not have been so strong.) My only complaint is that there were tiny ants in the bathroom. They were coming in around the bathroom window and were all around the sink.

The property is clean and well maintained. The staff is polite. And the rooms are freshly remodeled.

The rooms have recently been renovated. The smell of bleach when you walk in tells you it’s clean. It’s a dive resort, but things like showers to use in public areas is nice when you were just snorkeling.

This review is about unit 12H only. The outside water view was spectacular but the inside was lacking in many ways. No dresser, no phone, cracked hole in the bathroom tub so water ran under house, old microwave, bathroom door didn’t fully close cause its too big, old curtains hanging on a string, dim lighting, no broom to keep sand off the floor which ends up in bed and last but not least there was a big roach in the room that I assassinated for attacking some bananas that I left out. The room on the water is a nice concept it (12H) needs to be renovated. Also the open patio was nice in the daytime but at night iguanas, possums or snakes can easily enter cause there's no door to keep them out which gave me an uneasy feeling. Renter beware.

Really liked the room. It was spacious and comfortable. No restaurant on site but there are several in easy walking distance and they do have a food truck that offers breakfast. Already contemplating a return trip!

We’ve stayed here before and love most of it. Only issue this time is we were in room 3H which is closest to overseas hwy and the sound of cars and trucks passing is extremely loud! And then bed in that room definitely needs to be replaced it’s like sunk in and like an 5” mattress so it’s ok just bowing very bad when you lay in it. Everything else about the resort is great. But you won’t sleep if you at are a semi light sleeper you need a loud sound machine but even that didn’t help. Just stay in another room if possible.

We loved staying here with the exception that the pullout couch bed was TERRIBLE. The couch itself was so old it hurt to sit on. Once it was pulled out to a bed it was worse. Barely touching it you felt every spring in the mattress let alone sleeping on it. The staff were as helpful as possible and they said they have mattresses in order, who knows. I suggested to the desk a new couch bc even the couch was terribly uncomfortable. It was unfortunate bc we planned on 4 people stay so 2 were stuck with this horrible sleeping arrangement. I thought the cost was too high to have such a terrible sleeping option for guests. There was also no where to put anything. The room was large enough but no shelving, no counter space, no furniture for clothes, day to day things. It got messy quick. A few shelves in the bathroom would be nice for 4 people to put a toothbrush.. Other than that it was great. Grounds were beautiful and staff was friendly. The snorkel trip was the best!!!! Shallow water reef snorkel was beautiful! The captain and first mate were great!!

We had a wonderful stay as a family of four in an ocean view room at Amoray Resort. Our room was up to date and very comfortable with a kitchen, plates, a two burner stove and refrigerator. The staff was all very friendly and the grounds with a modest pool, two small beaches, a couple docks and chairs, and lovely white sand were perfect for those like us seeking a personal and cozy hotel that fits so well into the Florida Keys vibe. Highly recommend staying here and sipping a drink from your balcony, the pier, or the sandy jetty for the beautiful sunset off to the west. We also watched two rocket launches at night!

Room looked recently renovated. VERY new appearance and VERY clean. Room 9. AC was not the typical Hotel room AC they had the split system like used is many small homes, so very quiet.

Nice property for one night, no blackout blinds, can hear everything that happens around you so if you are a light sleeper you will struggle.

WiFi needs a upgrade

Nice outdoor ambiance. The grounds were set up to enjoy the gulf. The room was clean but in need of a total update.

Second Stay - Great Dive Experience, But Room Comfort Needs Attention This was my second stay at this small, charming hotel located on the Gulf side of Key Largo, FL. It's a great spot, especially if you’re into diving, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were renovated after COVID and now feature new kitchen appliances, upgraded mattresses, and lovely sea-themed digital art. While the main beds are comfortable, the sofa beds could use some attention. They haven't been replaced, so the thin mattresses make it almost impossible to sleep due to the metal parts sticking into your back. If you need to use the sofa bed, be prepared for a less-than-ideal sleep experience. Bugs: If you're planning to enjoy the sunset on the resort’s outdoor chairs, bring some bug spray! The area has lots of tiny no-see-ums (sand flies) that bite, especially around dusk and dawn. These microscopic insects can leave you with itchy welts, which can be annoying during your stay. Diving: The dive experience is fantastic! The hotel has its own dive boat (accommodates up to 34 people), and there’s a compressor station for filling tanks. They’re a 5-star PADI Dive Center with a team of 8 experienced instructors, offering certifications for all levels. The prices for gear rentals and dive trips are very reasonable, which is a big plus. Value: While the diving amenities and service are excellent, the hotel rooms do feel a bit overpriced, especially considering the

Amoray was a wonderful one night stay for a friend & I visiting for a wedding. Beautiful amenities right on the water. Office staff was very helpful & accommodating as we asked to check in early. No complaints, a very cozy & homey stay.

My room was spotless and had this amazing fresh smell that made it feel extra cozy. The best part was the food tips the staff gave me — Lazy Lobster, Snook’s Bayside Restaurant, and Big Chill were all incredible. I also got to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Lobster Festival at Key Largo Fisheries, which made the trip even more memorable. Everything about this place made my trip better. Definitely a solid 10-star experience!

The checking early was amazing by Jane handled it like a total pro. Helping and accommodating. Will go back just because of that.

They were doing construction and all hours of the day we heard banging and drills. Even outside, trying to relax by the beach there was a chipper and power tools chainsaws running nonstop every single day. Walls were very thin in the room. We could hear this from when we woke up too late into the evening could hear the people in the room next to us snoring. I think the location is beautiful. The people were very nice, but when I told them what our experience was at the end, I got a shoulder shrug from a blue haired girl that was just like who cares we had maintenance scheduled for our coconut trees this week. I think if you know you have maintenance scheduled and people are going to be disrupted offer a discount on a return stay. Offer a free service or something to compensate for the inconvenience. Tell people upfront that the maintenance is going on and that the rental unit they rented is going to have construction through a thin wall the entire time. It just was not the relaxing trip of unwinding in that beautiful atmosphere we had in intended because of the nonstop noise.

Great location on moon bay

Simple two bed room but the grounds and the relaxed vibe were amazing. The heated pool is warm. The view of the Sound is perfect. Close the restaurants. It is adjacent to the walking and biking path.

My wife and I really enjoyed our two night stay. 4 bar / restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

If you plan to dive/snorkel and want a true old Florida Key Largo stay, this is the place. Amazing back on the water viewing/eating area. Loved our stay here. Just be aware if you are near the road, you will hear road noise at night.

Nice to be within walking distance of restaurants. Not many breakfast options with walking distance. End units hear more noise from the road.

Lovely few nights at the Amoray, the room was spotless, staff were all so lovely and friendly. Everything you needed for a stay, fridge, ironing board, kayak and snorkel hire, and complimentary laundry facilities. We took a drive to Key west from the hotel which only took about 2 hours and was well worth the trip. The staff at the hotel recommended a few places for food and drinks and we stopped at Big Chill which was great food and the nicest Key Lime pie! Felt very relaxing and tranquil exactly what we needed after running around Disney world for a week!

We stayed here before and it was newly remodeled. The beds are so comfy. We loved being on the water where we could sit our at night and enjoy the breezes. This year we were disappointed that there was no breakfast at all. Only coffee available.

This property needs some renovation and is very simple. That being said, the staff is very nice, the pool is clean, and they offer on-site departures for snorkeling, diving, and PADI certification. They have several expert divers on staff and we felt very safe out on the reef. It is right on Highway 1 and a straight shot into Key West. There are variety of restaurants in the area, from Waffle House all the way up to restaurants that serve lobster and have live bands. . I highly recommend the place if you are traveling in the Miami area and have 24 hours to spare. (It is about 80 minutes south.) We decided to take a little road trip and arrived around 2 PM, sat by the pool for a little while and then hopped in the car and dropped down into Key West, had dinner at the Banana Cafe (French), and drove back for the night. The next day we went out in the afternoon for a four hour snorkeling excursion, and then drove back to Miami .
