I have no complaints about this property. We needed a bed and a shower near the interstate during a road trip, and this was one of the most affordable places in the Elkin area. Friendly staff, clean room, a comfortable bed, and good water pressure in the shower. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done.

Wanted a quiet room and was promised no one would be placed above me... wrong. Walls and ceilings paper thin, I was kept up all night. If you want to actually sleep go somewhere else. I paid for this awful experience and then had to drive the next day on zero sleep.

We stayed here in October and while extremely dated we felt the bed was comfortable and the we were trying to outrun a hurricane and it was a warm bed. So we decided to stay there again. Front desk staff was great. The room had a deep musty smell to it. There was one outlet behind the bed and that had an extension cord plugged into it. A bedside lamp was plugged into that....it didn't work. Nothing plugged into the extension cord or outlet worked. There was a power strip across the room with 4 items plugged into it. There was a spot for 2 other items. Both times the bathtub/shower showed extreme signs of wear. The framing around the door looked like it had been repaired after being kicked in. In short, we will most likely not stay there again....non-functioning electrical outlets and the use of power strips and extension cords is concerning.

I thought the room was spacious and great. My problem is with the noisiness of the people above. Thump thump thump till late hours and started again at 5:11 AM. When I checked out I looked above and realized I must have had the room below the owners - caretakers of the inn. I would highly recommend not having guests stay below if other room options are available.

Checkin was easy and the attendant friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the down comforter! My only complaint is the electrical outlets and bedside lamps and outlets didn’t work. The outlets by the sink worked and there was a power strip for the tv/fridge/microwave and lamp which was across the room from the bed.
