Holiday Inn Express and Suites Batavia by IHG

It was a very clean hotel! There was a group of us for travel baseball tournament. We booked this hotel for the pool so the kids could swim after long day of playing ball. The pool was closed for maintenance one of the reasons we booked this hotel was the pool.

Pretty classic HI. We love these motels. The elliptical and water fountain both weren't working in the gym. But that's the only complaint.

It looked like the hotel was under construction, but still no working ice makers on either floor, our carpet had a large black stain on it that was concerning, and the front desk coverage was either new or not confident in their job (had to call a manager for a basic question) and back door was propped open.

Got the room for our daughter to swim and pool was down. Disappointing

Convenient to I90. The hotel is undergoing major renovations. Comfortable bed, very quiet - no road noise at all. Even with all the dust and dirt, it’s 100 times better than the LaQuinta down the street!

Arrived at 9 at night and room was not ready yet. Not ready til almost 10 Really? Came with 2 kids but could not use the pool because it had glass in it from a party and had not been cleaned up. Reserved this place specifically so they could swim. Disappointing.

The property was in the middle of a renovation, but clean and quiet. The pool was not available and the staff seemed stressed.

I get being under renovation but it was trashy. Pool was of course down so no one could use it which was the point of getting this hotel room for the kids to keep them busy.

I understand that the property is undergoing renovations, but there is much more there is much more they could do for guests. Service for check in/check out was terribly slow. The bedding was damp. It was like they didn't fully dry the bedding before making the beds. This was my second stay there. I won't be back

First thing I noticed was floors not clean nothing wiped down crumbs in chairs and toilet gross! Went to housekeeping and requested a vacuum and supplies to clean my room because it was dirty and instead of offering to take care of if or even offer an apology he gave me the vacuum and bleach spray to clean myself the register was gross the mirrors not washed sticky phone and alarm clock then found out the pool was closed and when I asked when it might be open seems we booked here for the pool they said it was posted on there sight and nothing they could do about it as they front fest girl was literally hanging signs the pool was closed the side door flapping around won’t latch so just blows in the wind so anyone off the streets without a key can just wonder I’m not a safe feeling at all ther staircase and hallway were desk gross! Your own housekeeping lady suggested we go to the leQuinta down the street because she knew how it was and sooo overpriced $176 to feel uncomfortable and clean my own room so my child and myself could at least sleep there for the night seems we drove 1 1/2 hrs to stay here very disappointed this is aloud here and will definitely not return

First room had not been cleaned and beds were not changed or made. Second room had not been thoroughly cleaned. There was a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain. There werent any towels. The one toilet paper holder was empty. The bed looked as if it was just thrown together and not changed. The staff was very supportive and pleasant but understandably frustrated with what they had to deal with.

Staff was friendly and helpful when checking in. We were there for 3 nights and were not provided any house keeping services for our entire stay. We only had two towels to begin with when we got there. Water was seeping up between the tiles in the entry way and the carpet was damp and stick. When we checked. Out we were billed over $300 a night for the first two nights and $200 for the third.

Checked into 3 different rooms before we found a bathroom without red mold in the shower

Wonderful property. Rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and professional.

Only problem was the blackout shade was missing and there is a parking lot light that shines into window plus sun rise!

Very conveniently located right off the the NYS thruway. There are plenty of restaurants not far, as well as some shops to pick up any necessities. The room looked as though it was recently remodeled and the lobby was well lit and large. The hallways were also well lit making me feel safe. The king size bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and had large bottles of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There was plenty of coffee and tea in the room to make if wanted and also coffee and tea hot in the lobby. The room also included a small refrigerator and microwave. I would definitely book there again.

Not bad for a single night. Room had some damage and missing items. Examples: shower shell wall had long crack running across width, window missing blackout curtain. Lights from outside kept room bright enough to read all night.

First room had 2 issues. Dark streaks on rug. Ĺooked like dog dragging rearend across rug. Ac unit not working. Second room: At 300am, drunk running up and down hallways pounding on doors trying to get into rooms. Police called.

The curtain in the room was sheer. Didn't have a blackout option. Lights from outside kept the room lit up. Had trouble staying asleep.

Most comfortable bed ive had at a hotel.

Hotel was beautiful. I got a room with 2 queen beds and the room was huge. Very clean. Staff was very accommodating to our needs. The only complaint I have is there was only 1 "curtain" and it was extremely thin. We could see the sign from the hotel across the street and all the parking lot lights through the curtain all night plus when the sun came up at 6am the light was way too bright and prevented sleep. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

We needed a place to stay overnight after a concert. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Check in was quick and friendly. The coffee is good.

I’ve stayed with a Holiday Inn Express before and had a great experience. This location was a problem the moment I walked in. Lobby had a line out the door waiting to check in. Upon Check in, I was told my room for 6 people was unavailable by Jasmine and that they only had a room with 2 beds. I comprised and told them if I had 2 cots in there by the end of the night it wouldn’t be a problem. Upon return to the hotel around 1am, i did not receive my cot. Went to the lobby and waited AN HOUR for someone to assist me. Stacey assisted in giving us another room, complimentary for our inconveniences. Stacey also informed me that they do not have cots and was not sure why I was ever told I would get 2. Stacey was amazing in assisting us, but it should have been taken care of upon check in. Check out was a nightmare, they insisted they needed my card AGAIN and that I’d be charged $50. I asked for a receipt and they were unable to give me one. Very disappointed in this location.

Booked this trip through Hotels.com, and pre-paid in full. On arrival, the desk clerk asked for my "card of record," explaining she had to scan it in order to be able to bill any incidental expenses. When I scanned the card in, I received an alert that they were billing me in full for the room again. I showed her my receipt indicating that I'd already paid in full, and the desk clerk called the manager - who told her where to look on her screen to see that yes, no need to bill me twice. The next morning I checked out, and declined a paper receipt - save a tree, and all that, and I already had it via email. When I got to my car, I received an alert that my credit card had been billed AGAIN for the room. Had to go inside and tell the morning clerk to cancel the second charge, having already paid once. I don't know whether this is a pervasive issue, but it happened to me twice on one stay with two different desk clerks ...

Staff issues. If the hotel had staff who had any customer service experience the hotel would be fine. The people in line in-front of us had a reservations for 5 guests: 2 queen and a pull out sofa, got there and that room did not exist and no cots. No offer for a second room. No compensation. They were told to find another hotel and the website made a mistake with the room description. We got into our room and none of the beds were made. We had to ask for another room. We were grateful they did not ask us to go to another hotel. Breakfast the food was not replenished so not much left at 7:30am when we went for breakfast. Key did not work for gym and pool and we were just told they would look into it - no follow up and did not work our entire stay. Poor staff = poor stay.

We tried to check in at 5:00PM and were told our room had not yet been cleaned and were asked if we could leave and return later rather than wait. We left and returned after 6:00pm however, our room was still not ready. We were supposed to have a room with 2. queen beds since we are not a couple and had reserved the room in March. They only had a room with one king bed which we ended up accepting since we had traveled 6 hours and needed a room. We were told 3 employees had called in and there were only 3 on duty to accommodate all the customers. Sorry to hear that for the working staff but not a good experience for customers. The shower floor clearly had not been cleaned as you could feel a build up on the floor. The front desk employee could not give us a discount since we had booked through a third party-Expedia but did apologize. Apologies are nice to hear but I did not get what I paid for and should be compensated for this.

Checkin was the worst - arriving at 1:45, we were told there were NO rooms available until 3pm checkin. “How about maybe 2:45? We need to change clothes & leave here by 3?” “Nope - no rooms until 3pm” There were 4 cars in the lot including ours. Impossible to believe that ALL of the rooms were going to be serviced/turned over within 75minutes. I have never had an issue checking in 1 hour early - my bad for not contacting the property beforehand - but it’s not like we wanted to checkin at 10am. I felt the front desk person had no interest in trying to help or work with us. The facility was great (Though the pool was out of service), but the check in tainted my opinion of Holiday Inn Express.

Stayed here for Darien Lake. About 20 min away from the park. Beds were nice and comfortable and we were able to fit 6 in a room with a pull out couch. My only complaint was the wand in the shower. I couldn't figure out how to change the water to the main shower head. Overall a very nice stay. Typical continental breakfast.

The area around the hotel was not all that great,but they made up for that by providing smiles and polte behaviour to this 'doddering old 86 year old'.

Good location along highway for transit stay, average breakfast, not a bad pool, a little too pricey for what is offered

We only stayed one night but it was exactly what we needed after a fun day at Darien Lake. The breakfast was very good we filled our bellies and had the energy to make the trip back home. Even though we didn’t want to leave.

Hotel was clean and aesthetically pleasing Staff was friendly Location close to Thruway Very much opposed to credit card being hit w/ $50 charge for potential expenses and now having to wait and hopefully receive $50 credit back. Most hotels take card on file but do not charge unless you incur expenses Breakfast buffet was underwhelming although hostess worked tirelessly to maintain meager choices I tipped her for her efforts in cash

Breakfast was less than a continental serving. The server said something was broken but they even ran out of coffee.

The breakfast was totally ignored and ran out of bacon, eggs, and coffee. I mentioned it to one of the staff and she didn’t seem to be too concerned. I told her to get the manager to address this. 30 minutes later there was coffee but no eggs or bacon. I would like a partial refund.

I was happy with our check in. I was very irritated with being woken up at 5am to the fire alarms and no guidence from the man at rhe desk. Waited 1/2 hr for fire truck, about 10 minutes for them to allow us back in with NO direction again, no explanation. Then had to get up before 920 to eat a NASTY breakfast. Was told breakfast ended at 10 and it was closed down at 9:28am. I left tired, confused and hungry.

Newly remodeled room was nice, though hearing the conversation in the room above through the vent in the bathroom was disturbing. Breakfast - out of most foods at 7:30am, including milk and cream for coffee.
