What guests think

At Hyatt Place Delray Beach, guests consistently praise the central, walkable location and generally friendly staff, while feedback on cleanliness and maintenance is more mixed, especially during renovations that at times closed facilities or created noise.

Rooms are often spacious and comfortable, but several guests reported air conditioning problems, hallway noise, and dated features alongside newer remodels. Breakfast is frequently a highlight, though supply and timing can be inconsistent, and the bar or menu options were limited at times. Expect paid parking and a convenient base for exploring downtown.

Facilities

The rooftop pool and common areas are appreciated when available, but renovations led to closures, daytime noise, and occasional maintenance lapses; on some stays the pool appeared murky. Parking is paid and spaces can feel tight, while the gym and bar were sometimes limited.

Love the coffee bar and wine bar. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was great. It was a little loud but my room was next to the elevator. Gym needs more than free weights.

We checked in knowing they were doing renovations however they did provide in an email that the pool would be ready weeks before our arrival. Had we known there was no pool on site, we would have NEVER booked. When we checked in, we found out the pool wasn’t ready. We were provided a percentage off our stay - but it was quite disappointing. They assured us the pool would be ready the next day after we checked in, yet it was never ready until the day of our departure. They offered accommodations at a sister hotel for their pool, but it was over a mile away, about a 13 minute walk. They did offer a free shuttle service but that didn’t start until 11am so the whole morning was wasted. We had to switch rooms mid stay because the AC wasn’t working in our room - the new room we checked in to had dirty towels and the vents in the bathroom were clogged with dust. When we checked out, nobody from management even acknowledged that they told us the pool would be ready Sunday and yet never was until the very afternoon before our departure. Disappointing. Everyone was very friendly and the location is perfect for restaurants but overall very disappointing stay and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Having worked in the hospitality industry I was disappointed due to the lack of cleanliness to the pool. I was aware of the hotel being renovated. However before arriving o asked if the pool would be available and was told it would be. Since I prefer the pool to the beach. However the pool was green and there was mold at the first step and the deep end was brown as well. The staff at the front desk was polite but obviously not experienced. We ordered lunch and when it was received it was not compete. No silverware napkins and no bacon on the chicken bacon sandwich. When we arrived the first room we were assigned to smelled so we were moved. I hope to return when the hotel is renovated due to the great location and not needing a car. Hope the pool co will be on top of the cleanliness.

Room/hotel was tired, bath needed repair, cockroaches on the 4th floor, no heat in the room, no soap in some rooms, not a good hotel for the price. Would not go back there. We spoke to them about a reduction/refund but they said only Expedia could provide that. We may not book through Expedia again if we can’t get satisfaction on this.

First impression of the hotel is very good but one step into the elevators and you realize the hotel is lacking. Frankly it was fairly dirty. The hallways again needed to be vacuumed. There were food crumbs on the floor along the hallway. The room we were in was clean but pretty sparse. Good for one or two nights and that’s it.

Barely 2 words from the front person checking us in. I had to ask all the questions. Was not told I needed a parking pass. After looking at other cars and noticed parking passes, I went to the front office and asked for one. They knew I was parking and was charged also during check in. The lack of customer service at the front office was pretty obvious..fridge in the room not plugged in therefore we couldn’t get it cold fast enough to use it.

We showed up at the hotel and they did not band a room to accommodate, despite us reserving and paying for a room. We booked a room with two queens and a pullout couch to accommodate 5 people, and they offered us a room with one king size bed. Unacceptable. The only good thing about the trip was the hotel we found on our own down the street that we loved. I'm incredibly disappointed in my hotels.com experience. What is the point of reserving a specific room if they are not going to have it?

This hotel was beautiful and in a great location with a beautiful rooftop pool, but overall we had subpar service. Primarily, The Placery restaurant and bar seemed like it actually wasn’t meant to be utilized; we ordered their “famous” burger and a piña colada and after waiting for about 15 minutes, we were told that they actually didn’t have any burger patties or piña colada mix, among many other ingredients. They were also out of caffeinated tea at the continental breakfast which I was very disappointed with. Additionally, when we first arrived at our designated check-in time, our room still wasn’t ready and we had to wait an extra 30 minutes or so. This was a nice stay since we weren’t in the hotel for most of it, but I was quite disappointed with the service we received for the price that we paid.
