Motel 6 Spartanburg, SC Northwest Business 85

Good for the price and convenience, was relatively clean though we saw a couple bugs. But it was affordable and had the last minute availability and comfort we needed on our trip. Parking was limited but it was the late hours on a Friday. Overall good

They renovated rooms the best they could, zero noise so that was a bonus. But most of all my 2 Goldens were welcome there!

The website says "pet friendly" which is why we specifically picked this motel. We arrived at 3AM. Not only is the lobby to the office locked, there's a sign on the window that we check in at that says "no pets". Seriously?! The staff memeber comes to the window, asks for my drivers license (normal), but then scans the bar code and proceeds to take over 15minutes to "check us in" all the while we're freezing outside. When I asked what was taking so long he says "it won't let me charge you". I reminded him that I had already paid thru Hotels.com. he says "l know 1 mun please". I see him sign what looked like my name on the screen. I was never given anything to sign, and when I asked for a receipt I got a print out that basically had nothing on it. The room was freezing even with the heat on. The bed was worse than my old futon, and we had a sheet and a "comforter" that was basically another sheet. It was so poorly lit (despite it being newly remodeled) that I had to use a hand mirror to put my contacts in. Awful awful awful. Had it not been 3 AM, had we not been exhausted after a full day on the road, we would've cut our losses and left. The area was not the best either.

I have video proof it was a roach infestation. I literally could stay in the room they where even Im the bed.

A hard smell of cigarettes!!!! I booked a no smoking room- but the in room it was a strong smell of smoke!!!!

Bathroom was like a truck stop bathroom. Lots of damage that just was never repaired. New TV - gross bathrub. A reasonable place to stay if everything else is booked and you just need a place to crash.

Nice large rooms and pretty clean for a Motel 6 but beds are hard as a rock.

I was surprised for the price I was scared but it was nice and my air worked so well. The water was so hot!!!!! I was pleased…

The staff was very nice, the place was safe, quite and again the staff was very nice.
