Do not stay here. We paid over $800 for two nights, and the experience was unacceptable. During our stay, our room was never serviced, the hand-soap and lotion bottles were empty, and flies came out of the bathtub drain. Extremely loud trains passed until late night, and guests gathered in the shared seating area directly outside our window—even talking loudly at 2:00 a.m. The outdoor lights stayed on all night, making it impossible to darken the room. Impossible to get any sleep. Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent, and phone service was terrible. Casa Tropicana was noisy, poorly maintained, and completely overpriced. We would never stay here again

Be sure to read the fine print before booking this place. It is an old boutique hotel that is not in great shape. While the room was spacious with amazing views, the property left much to be desired. The lobby and bar/restaurant written in the description are permanently closed with paper covering the windows. The hotel sign is barely visible with a ripped awning over the entrance. You check in at a different hotel’s lobby a few buildings away. The parking is also in a separate building a block away. The maximum clearance in the garage is 6’4” which did not fit our SUV so we had to find alternate parking which was an absolute nightmare on a holiday weekend. Our room had a bathtub that they had added a shower fixture in the ceiling above, and then there was a shower curtain that you pulled around the bathtub. Not an actual shower and the water pressure was terrible. The view and convenience of location were the saving grace here, otherwise it would have been all around disappointing.

This boutique hotel was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway! It's absolutely adorable, clean, and has so much charm. The location couldn't be better, just a short walk to the beach, with the added bonus of included parking. One of my favorite perks was that the free trolley bus stops right across the street, making it incredibly easy to visit the outlet stores and explore the many nearby restaurants without worrying about driving. The hotel also has a beautiful common outdoor area that was perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or relaxing with a meal after a day at the beach.

We had a wonderful stay. The highlight was definitely the gorgeous beach view from our balcony, where we loved watching the surf and the pier. The staff was incredibly friendly throughout our visit, and the location is ideal—everything is within easy walking distance, including great local shopping. Highly recommend!

I wish a knew something’s before getting this room. 1. No cell service once your in the room. No land line either. I have an iPhone so I could only iMessage and couldn’t reach android people. 2. During the day the room is very loud. I guess it’s under the laundry room? So the walls rattle and it sounds like a loud constant base. I couldn’t get the toddler down for a nap because it was too loud for her. I also talked to two people about doing a late night check in so I can be sure and get the parking pass. They forgot and I had to get it the next day from the office up the street. Couldn’t make coffee because there were no coffee filters. I love the location and it’s been my favorite beach since I was a kid but probably would never get that room again. Wouldn’t recommend this room either. Sorry.
