What guests think

Across reviews, Valley Hotel draws mixed feedback: many guests appreciate a convenient, often quiet location near restaurants, while numerous others report inconsistent cleanliness, dated rooms with maintenance issues, and limited or unreliable TV service.

Cleanliness feedback ranges from spotless rooms to reports of roaches and, in a few cases, bedbugs. Rooms are basic and aging, with recurring complaints about odors, noise between rooms, and missing or malfunctioning amenities such as microwaves or fridges. Several guests appreciate easy check-in and helpful staff, though a few report service lapses, mixed perceptions of safety, and a surprise parking charge despite 'free parking' expectations. Expect a budget stay with tradeoffs.

Sadly I can give only 2 stars. Positives- nice, quiet area with lots of dining options, shopping and easily accessible, good amount of parking available. Also very safe. Negatives- the room was exceptionally filthy. I don’t think it had been properly cleaned in years. The grime in bathroom was unbelievable. Dust everywhere and dirt under the sofa was unbelievable. Sadly I had to book it last minute, as our plans changed, And unfortunately, my daughter was ill and we couldn’t move to different property, otherwise we would have been out in minutes. Absolutely disgusting.

The facilities are too old, The sink was clogged during our stay. The pillows are too old as well and must be changed. They must renovate all the rooms.

There is a $5 room key deposit. The room we were originally given was not serviced when we opened the door. Apparently the maid did not tell the management that the room was not done. They did immediately put us in a clean room, nonetheless. Towels could use an upgrade.

Rooms were very dirty, walls, furniture, plus one bedroom had bedbugs!! The cover of the mattress was very dirty and had yellow stains! The second room we got didn’t have bedbugs but it was dirty, seems like they only do the beds and wipe down the bathroom!

I stayed here before and the room is not too bad until last night. I didn't get a good night sleep because the bed bugs keep biting me, I must have sweet blood. I got up and moved the mattress and actually saw the bug run behind the mattress. I suggest that the hotel owner steam clean the mattress and clean behind the headboard for more bugs hiding. The bumps on my arms and fingers are very itchy.

The staff was very friendly. The bed was clean but it was pretty dirty on the walls and around all the baseboards, I moved a night stand and it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in many years. I have no idea how it got a 7.2 rating out of 10. If the rooms got a really good cleaning it wouldn’t be so bad.

We needed a place to sleep while visiting an ill patient in a nearby hospital. The room was very old and had a weird smell. Overall, it was dirty, including the walls, bathroom sink, and comforter. We decided to stay since it was already late and we were unfamiliar with the area, but we were really concerned about the cleanliness and safety. Someone outside was walking back and forth all night, being loud, and at one point, even trying to come into our room. If I had read the reviews, I wouldn't have hesitated to spend more to stay somewhere else. Your peace of mind is worth more than the money you save. Don't stay here.

Only 2 of the outlets worked, the fridge was plugged in as well but wasn't working. The shower was dirty and the curtain rod was curved and took up more than half the already tiny bathroom. We did see a couple cockroaches which we were able to relocate outside. But the beds were clean as far as I could tell and the staff was kind and helpful.

When we checked in, staff at the front desk was not personable or helpful. We asked for exyra towels, he said no, towels are in the room. The matress horrible, and made (squeaking) too much noise. Refrigerator wss broken. Upstair tenant_patron was noisey, walking stomping all hours of night. We could hear their tv all night. Bad overall experience.

The staff was excellent, also the shower pressure, wifi speed, cleanliness, and the double bed room was spacious. But it's overpriced as the room was like those found in cheap road motels. The pillows were flat, you can hear upstairs guests, the air conditioner is very loud, the shower height is 5'2", so iI had problems washing my hair. The tub size is tiny and the mattress quality was average. I would return only for an emergency stay, because the staff was really helpful and friendly.
