Stayed 4 nights

It's a clean, well maintained hotel but the rooms are TINY and noisy--we all swore our rooms had no windows. None of us slept. In my humble opinion, they miss the mark. They want to be upscale with fancy quiches but there's no scrambled eggs. They have several flavors of creamer but no half and half. They have tea but no honey.... Totally small things but I didn't care for the breakfasts and I noticed several families having problems getting kids to eat it either. Also, it's $12/night to park. The good: when you come back tired, the elevator is always open and waiting. It sounds minor but we soooo appreciated it. ;) I dunno...somehow I feel like it was oversold by it's marketing department.

Start with the good. 1. Clean room. Now with the negative. 1. Charge $12 to park in the parking area behind the hotel. 2. For heat you had a space heater and the AC was a portable unit that took up room. 3. When I first called about a late check out (12 instead of 11am) the person on the phone acted like it couldn’t be accommodated. 4. Only 2 electrical outlets worked besides the 2 being used for the space heater and portable AC. 5. No where in the lobby did it stated the rooms had no heat or AC or even on the Hotel website. 6. Very noise being right off of Main Street. 7. Staff didn’t seem to care nor did they state the rooms had no heat or AC and that portable units were in the room. 8. Pictures are deceiving to make the rooms look larger than they were. 9. Breakfast was mediocre. (Burnt sausage links didn’t help) 10. Open one of the windows and you have another room across from you. 11. To pay $237 for a one night stay and have these issues is a disappointment. If staff was upfront about the heat and AC, I would have been understanding. Big disappointment for a first time experience.

A hotel is supposed to deliver three basic things, a quiet, dark, comfortable room. They failed on all three. Between work and personal I spend 40-60 nights a year in hotels, this was the noisiest hot3l I have ever been in. It would have been quieter to sleep on an active runway.

I am SO thankful I stayed at Kalispell Grand Hotel! My room was so comfortable and the homemade breakfast was fabulous! I loved the honey yogurt and fresh huckleberries, and homemade quiche! The Cravens Coffee was also delicious. I loved the Haviland china and sterling silverware. I can't believe how affordable my stay was, considering the prime downtown location, historic building, high quality amenities and gourmet (free) breakfast! Will definitely stay here again. I'm glad I finally discovered it. I'll be recommending to friends and family.

Io was actually a nice place. Our room was on the second floor along Main Street and cars were revving their engines, burning rubber and the like. It all stopped around 11 every night. The breakfasts were excellent. Room was clean, a little tight.
