What guests think
Best Inn Motel Salina earns praise for very clean, newly renovated rooms, friendly owners, and strong value for a simple overnight stay, though it sits in an industrial area and offers few frills beyond morning coffee.
Rooms are modern and comfortable with large TVs, walk-in showers, and in-room fridges and microwaves, and many highlight quiet nights and easy, accommodating check-in. Common drawbacks include the industrial location with limited walkable dining, no full breakfast (coffee and juice only), tight parking, occasional noise, and a few reports of missing items like hair dryers or in-room coffee. Expect a straightforward, well-kept stopover that prioritizes value and ease.

Is this the nicest budget hotel in all of Kansas? I was a bit worried that my GPS was taking me to the wrong place as I was passing in between grain silos but though it is off the beaten path and not really convenient from I-70 this hotel is a gem. Completely remodeled, much older motor lodge with a newer 2-story addition. I was told it was 3 years old but you would never know it by the condition of the building or my room. Spotlessly clean, well laid out, well insulated. Even though it was 90+ at 10 pm I barely needed to run the AC. Bed and pillows first rate. No pool, spa, gym, laundry, or even breakfast and not much of a lobby but if you want a quiet, clean place for the money you can’t do any better. They do offer a morning coffee and juice bar and several fast food places are about a mile away. For the price, I don’t think you can touch this hotel’s quality anywhere in the state. Highly recommend.

Best Inn is a superb place on a budget. Check in was easy and there is ample parking. There is no restaurant onsite and no breakfast or in-room coffee are provided however there are plenty of restaurants and fast food options within about a 5 minute drive. The room was comfortable and spacious. The TV was very large! There is a microwave and fridge. The king bed was comfortable and the heater worked well. The best part is how quiet the place is from other room noise or traffic. We highly recommended Best Inn plan to stay again the next time we come through Salina.

Room was very clean and well kept as other reviews state. The only thing I would say is parking. Apparently the rooms are only located at the front of the place so when I arrived there was only 1 parking spot left and it was handicap but they told me it was ok. Just keep in mind parking may be very hard to find but the rooms are cozy and very clean!

We have stayed here 7-8 times now, if not more, and it is our go to when driving back and forth to Tulsa to visit our daughter whenever we don't want to drive straight through. This place is updated, spotless, consistent, and owners awesome! Once, I accidentally booked the room for trip to Tulsa into the return , and when they called that night asking about our arrival time, they were so kind and helpful! I highly recommend this hotel and cannot say enough good about it!

Very nice room. Comfortable bed, BUT there was a strange metallic whangggg every time I got in or out of bed or even when I changed position, as if there was a full-sized metal sheet somewhere in the bed frame. This was both beds. I was concerned that it would annoy anyone in the next room. Very odd. Have never run into this elsewhere and I travel a lot.

It looks like the property has been recently remodeled. Everything is new and clean! Nice big flatscreen TV. Lights work great, nice lamps on nightstands with wireless charging. Even has a little office space with an office chair. Everything in the bathroom worked great, comfy bed. New microwave and fridge and freezer which was bigger than most.

I had to travel to Salina for work. My flight didn't get in until 2am CST. The manager and/or owner had contacted me while I was still in Denver (with my flight getting pushed back multiple times) and arranged to have my key somewhere that I could just pick it up and go to my room. The facilities were very clean and quiet. I didn't get to spend much time on the property but the bed was comfortable and I slept well for the few hours I got.

This is a jewel in Salina, KS. This is our third stay here for our annual trip from St. Louis-->Denver and points west. The owner is a great guy and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and well appointed for the price point of the hotel. Will be back for our next western road trip. Keep in mind what you are paying vs what you are getting. It is not a Marriot level property but guess what you not paying that level of pricing either!

Cleanliness and ease of check-in was exceptional and the staff was very helpful on recommendations for restaurants and the downtown area which is 5 minute car ride away. My only criticism is that it is located in a somewhat industrial area so immediate dining and convenience store options are not obvious. But a very good experience for the price, thank you!

Everything was exceptional! There is not a coffee pot inside of the room, but there is one in the lobby available from 3 AM to 10. Other than that, everything was so comfortable and peaceful.

We booked this property purely on reviews and it didn't disappoint. The owners are incredibly nice people and really look out for their guests. There's a definite pride of ownership here and we can't wait to go back. For those of you who expect an in room coffee maker and ironing board - there isn't one but coffee and juice are served in the entryway from 3am-10am which suited us perfectly. The shower is a walk in style with a seat. The owners are very present. The beds, linens and pillows are very comfortable. The towels are not plush but they do the job. It's a busy road but we didn't hear any road noise inside our room. The restaurants are about 5 mins drive away. The room has an under counter style refrigerator and freezer and a medium sized microwave. Thanks for having us.

Nice updated room at a bargain price. A bit off the beaten path but easy to find. Make sure to have dinner at Martinelli’s downtown. Great food and ambiance.

Booked this because of great reviews and great price. Arrived at the property and it looked like a roadside motel with outdoor entrance-not what expected from pictures. Office door was locked and had to call manager who arrived in his vehicle within a few minutes. He was very nice. Turned out our room was in an addition that had been built on to the motel, so we did have an interior entrance. However, the door to get into the lobby of this addition is not secured (you don’t need a key card or key), which may be a concern for some people. It’s on a fairly well traveled road and we felt relatively safe. Overall a bit of a weird vibe, but fine for our brief one night stay. Had a pretty decent breakfast and coffee at a little shop called Mokas.

This hotel was exactly as pictured. Very clean and comfortable, at a very affordable price! The service was excellent and so was their food recommendations. I will definitely stay here again!

What a hidden gem in Salina! The Best Inn is always very clean with nice, updated rooms, in a quiet setting. The owners are great as well! Always very friendly and helpful, and they offer reasonable rates. They don't serve breakfast, but with the money you save you can get a great breakfast nearby and still have money left over. Even if you are just passing through, and getting off the highway for the night, it's worth it to come a couple of miles in off the interstate to stay here

This was a very clean motel and the beds were very comfortable. The one suggestion that I will make is that I think that the showers could use some grab bars.

Spotless rooms at a very affordable price. Location was a bit off the beaten track, away from most food places. An in-room coffee maker would have been nice. I would come back for sure.

An old school motel that is renovated and super clean. Little road noise some, but is mostly drowned out by the running air conditioner. Good value. We'll return.
