Stayed here many years ago and it was nice. Since then it has run down. No upgrades. Restaurant closed. Pool not open. Continental breakfast horrible bag of prepackaged junk food.

Gum was stuck on the wall. Paint on all the trip was dirty or missing paint. Floor had a big stain on it. Did not stay at the property just went home because it was to run down

Cockroaches in the bathroom, the bathtub had dirt in it when we arrived. The cover for the bathroom light was missing and anytime the guests above us would walk dust and lint would fall into the bathroom. There were holes in the bathroom corners and in the closet area. The beds were terribly hard, my hips were so sore. You can hear every noise other guests staying next to you make. The lobby carries earplugs for this, not a fan. Breakfast is served in a paper bag with highly processed food. Disappointed. The staff was great, this is all beyond their control. The property needs major updating and cleaning.

The room was disgusting. Cobwebs and spiders in the corners, ashes in the drawer (which tracks, because the second you open the door you get hit with the smell of weed), and a floor spot that I’m just going to keep telling myself was dried-up ketchup. The beds were stiff, uneven, and honestly felt like they’ve been there since the 1960s. The only thing this place has going for it is the view; and even that doesn’t come close to making up for the rest of it. For nearly $200 a night, I expected at least a clean room and a decent night’s sleep. Instead, I got the complete opposite. What really sealed it for me was that I have never stayed at a hotel where the concierge didn’t even bother to ask how my stay was… until now. It pretty much confirms what I already thought; this place has zero care or pride in what they offer. They lure you in with the “view” and forget everything else. Save your money and your sanity. I’d rather stay at a Motel 6 for $59 a night than ever stay here again.

Room looked dirty and smelled horrible. The walls were paper thin it sounded like the people next door were in my room. I immediately left and stayed at another hotel. The refuse to give me a refund. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Pictures are misleading. Rooms trap humidity and are run down. Visible mold within spots, and ceiling tiles in bathrooms are plugged with paper towels where broken. The cleanliness of the rooms was not ideal. We left a day early because of the condition.

There were mice in my room. The whole place was dusty and when I ran the bathroom sink water came up in the tub. Sometimes a great rate doesn’t equal a great experience. Oh and my whole room smelled like weed for an entire day. Most likely one of the adjacent rooms. This is a shady place in a beautiful location.

Great scenery. The property was a little dated. Pretty good value. Limited breakfast. They offer free ear plugs for the loud commuter train that frequently passes by. They don’t really help. Overall, not too bad for a one night stay.

A rather mixed bag! One positive was that there was daily housekeeping - something that is almost vanishingly rare, even in more expensive hotels, since COVID. The property is clean but seems a little run down. The room we stayed in had poor sound insulation - the nearby trains could be distinctly heard passing (and whistling!) all night. Additionally, the window shades installed were inadequate to block the (motel style) property's exterior lights. That we nevertheless managed to sleep tolerably well is a tribute to the comfortable bed and its furnishings. 'Breakfast' was a paper bag of assorted packaged carbs, plus hot coffee.

Fairly worn down and threadbare. Many corners being cut--like being stingy about giving more than 2 sets of towels, even though we had 4 in our room, and the included "breakfast" being a stack of brown bags with a packaged waffle and maybe an instant oatmeal. Wifi worked poorly, if at all (triggering certificate errors), and the staff didn't seem to understand the problem or interested in getting it fixed. Generally otherwise passable.

Price was good for the time of year (Thanksgiving weekend) and would have been better if we had booked directly. Room was good size but lack of a blackout shade or curtains left the room less than dark due to light from the parking. Bathroom pretty small. Heating system pretty old.

The staff is s always friendly and professional. The room is always clean. I am glad to see the upgrade to Direct TV and the hair dryer in the room. The bed isn’t the most comfortable. But, it’s fine de a few days. I had a great view of the Hudson River. Overall good stay.

Worst hotel stay in a year. Water pressure drops to a dribble when turned up to hot (it turns out you can turn it toward cold and re-approach hot from below while keeping better pressure, but i hadn't figured this out yet during my first barely-a-tricklle shower). The outlet next to the bed turns off when the overhead light is switched off -- so you cannot use the bedside lamp or charge your phone with the light off (what is the point of a bedside lamp then?). The pillows are hard, though the mattress itself was fine. They gave us only one thin blanket even though it's December and 30 degrees outside. We didn't realize it until we were already climbing into bed. When we called to ask for more, no one could bring it to us because they do not have sufficient staff. We had to put on a coat over our pajamas and go outside to the lobby to get it. The room does not get dark because the exterior lights stay on and there is no blackout curtain. And the train passes very close-by and is very loud, making it difficult to sleep. Although there is a pretty view of the Hudson River from most points on the property, this was overall my worst 2-star hotel experience in a long time.

Our room was noisy. There are trains that go by and blare their horns which is no big deal, but we turned on the AC for some white noise to cover the outside noises and it made this horrible, inconsistent grinding noise, so we kept it off. Im pretty sure I could hear the neighbors AC unit making the same noise throughout the night. Also, there is a tall clouded window next to the front door of the room with no curtain, so the outdoor lights were shining into our room all night with no way to cover them. Overall the stay was not dark or quiet, and we will not be returning. The room looked clean, but it badly needed a new paint job, most of the door frames had bare wood exposed from paint falling off over the years which really gave it a cheap feeling. Staff was friendly.

Unbelievably terrible experience- never never never book yourself into this place. The staff was exceptionally rude and the establishment is crooked. Refused to let us cancel and then resold our room. Left us stranded at midnight and just blamed expedia. Beware!!!

We had a lovely one-night stay at Inn on the Hudson. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were able to accommodate our early check-in request. The room was not luxurious, but it was clean and comfortable, and included a small refrigerator, microwave and a nice balcony. We could definitely hear a train in the distance now and then, but it did not disturb our sleeping at all. They even returned an item to me that I left behind. We were very happy with our stay here and would stay again.

The staff labeled me as a difficult customer. They, in turn, were hostile. The manager's hours were restricted and not readily available to solve issues. The housekeeping hours are not flexible for travel plans. Snow removal not adequate for parking area. Will not return, even for the good price!

The inn was fine. Room was ok and clean. Only problem is the noise from the parkway . Constant noise from cars going by and the trains going past every 15 minutes and the trains blow the horns eveytime. Like I said the inn was ok but the noise was a bit too much

This hotel has a great view, it's old and outdated but clean... the breakfast is bagged up in a "grab and go" paper bag the included a blueberry muffin, wrapped waffle, and a container of oatmeal. The coffee was pretty good. I loved the walkable access to the downtown area, lots of cool places to eat.

Location and view is Gold. But if you’re looking for peace and quiet then this property is not ideal as the constant traffic noise from the nearby Croton Expressway is loud and startling at times. The train station nearby maybe a great connection advantage but the hourly blaring train horn will not make for a peaceful getaway. It is an industrial town with maintenance and construction activity in full swing - reflecting a growing economy but again it is not a peaceful writers retreat. The Inn needs new beds and mattresses as they’re creaking and even broken in some parts.

The location was convenient for us. Pretty location. The people were friendly. The buildings are older. Passably clean. Not very sound proof lots of road and train noise. Grab and go instant microwaveable breakfasts in a bag. Muffin, oatmeal, waffle and water. Coffee available.

The Inn advertises breakfast included. If you consider a waffle sealed in plastic and a cardboard cup containing Quaker Oats that you had to take back to your room to microwave, then I guess they had ‘breakfast’. No fruit, forget if there was silverware or not-don’t think so, no napkin! All this for $182! It was clean, no rug, just bare tile floor. One small bar of soap, no shampoo or conditioner. The woman at ‘breakfast’ was more interested in her kids games on the computer than in telling me where breakfast was until I said I needed to be on the road-then she just pointed to the stapled brown paper bags as to where breakfast was.

The views were lovely. Breakfast was welcomed but contents were too sweet, coffee was good though. The room was okay, it would be nice if the bed was more comfortable; a new mattress is definitely needed. The overall furniture could be cleaner. The room smelt old.

My stay was adequate for what you pay for a room. the upside, i loved the mattress and the air conditioning was great. the downside, the "free breakfast" is plastic wrapped junk food in a bag with a small water. Little nutrition value. Also, apparently there was a mouse in my room, as it ate through one of my bagged breakfasts. But for what i paid overall a decent stay.
