Stayed 1 night

We were assigned to the worst room initially. A large turbine which was very loud just outside our room. Then when we requested a different room we had to take one with a queen bed rather than a king which we booked. I had called two days prior to our arrival and asked if the TNF game would be on in the bar. They told me yes for sure so I invited friends over who are locals. Then was informed they didn’t have prime so they wouldn’t have the game on. The hotel is tired and dirty. Stains all over the carpeting. A weeks worth of prescription drugs from a previous customer was on the floor next to our bed. How could the maid miss that…answer, they never vacuumed. The history and FLW style throughout the hotel is cool but it’s starting to get tired they are not keeping ahead of it. The bartender in the draftsman lounge downstairs was great. She did what she could to accommodate us but like she said she’s just the bartender. The shower area is tiny and the bathroom floor was sticky. You can hear your neighbors talking and the floor creaking. Other than all that it was great!

Mason city was closed on the Sunday that we were there, a disappointing place. Not the hotels fault, but we would not return.

Stayed 1 night

This is a beautiful hotel. However, the room was dirty, dusty, bathroom was dirty from previous guest (additional hairs so to speak). And if you run hot or need air conditioning, this is not the place for you to stay. Set the air down to 62 and the hottest the room still got was 76 degrees. We didnt stay much in the room anyway, but after a full day and too late to do anything and really no sleep we left at 5am. Never again will I stay there..
