The place is old but kept clean. However the main carpet area is so dirty that my husband’s feet were black just running downstairs just to grab more towels. It’s definitely needs a deep clean. However the place is centrally located. Our room was clean, the a\c worked perfectly, the view was great and it was quiet. Ana the staff were all friendly. One issue was the wifi was spotty. It kept coming in and out and so did the tv.

The best part of this hotel was the location. Right near the Boardwalk. Was grateful to be near everything in town. That being said they need to upgrade this property. The carpet was totally disgusting. The rooms were small and outdated. You can’t charge $400 a night for a one star hotel. Please do a renovation or charge $200 a night.

The room is small. We carried our luggage up three flights of stairs only to find there was barely enough room to store it, much less move around comfortably. The sink wouldn’t drain, the carpets were damp, and the room was generally unpleasant. The hair dryer was 30 years old and sticky. Then the hotel’s salt water was shut off with no notice, which meant nobody could flush their toilets. The two public toilets we tried on the island didn’t have toilet paper either, and many of the restaurants and dining areas are outdoors. We literally ended up retreating to this gross little room just for shelter and air conditioning. I understand that nobody goes to Catalina to hang out in their hotel room, but there are no indoor common areas here either, just an outdoor patio. When you actually need somewhere comfortable to sit for a while, there really isn’t anywhere to go. The luggage storage area is also completely unsecured and seemingly unattended, so I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving anything valuable there. I definitely would not stay at this hotel again. Honestly, after this experience, I’m not sure I’d bother staying overnight on Catalina again at all.
