We loved everything about Hotel Matilda. The location was perfect to everything downtown. Staff was very very friendly and considerate. They offered to help in every aspect, whether it was to carry shopping bags to the room, turnover the room at whatever time that worked for us. Hotel was exceptionally clean and spa services were amazing.

Excellent service. The staff is always there when you need them . Our room got cleaned 3 to 5 times a day, that is hard to see even in a 5 star hotel. Concierge service was beyond expectation, they where able to get us a wine tour 1 hour before; even when there was no tours avaible. Bar tender service was excellent. if they don't have the drink you want, then it will be created for you. We received no excuses on why it was not possible. The trip was amazing overall. The rooms need some work! Blackout shades are not total blackout. Shower was terrible/ products are located under shower spray. Shower head is so high, water pressure is poor. The continental breakfast was weak- 6-8 small thin slices of fruit, yogurt, a spoonful of toasted oats, and white bread toasted… no gluten free or whole wheat option. The lunch/dinner menu, quite limited.

Everyone was friendly, service was good however, we were given a room, although it was big, had small windows and whited out so rather dark in the room and bathroom. The front door facing towards the open courtyard of restaurant and bar let all the music and noise in. Shower handle fell off during our stay. Hard to figure out lights and we were charged for water even though it was left on a tray with ice every night. Coffee was terrible. Breakfast was nothing great. No upgrade or offer of a quiet room.

Newer property. Excellent location. Staff was top-notch. Had one meal and that was outstanding. I asked for an iron and instead they ironed my clothes for free (including a suit). Only gripe I had is the slow shower drain which is likely due to the old town drainage system. Really a five-star experience. Be sure to tip well.

This place is amazing! It is beautiful, comfortable and located close to the plaza. But what makes it outstanding is the staff - best we have ever experienced! Their care and concern for each guest is truly surprising. I needed help with a wedding bouquet and they went above and beyond to make sure I got to the people and places I needed. We became good friends in just a week. We loved everything and would recommend it highly!
