The evening and midnight crew were really nice. I found out the next morning after my shower that you had to check out the hair dryer from the office. No where is that document. The only ice machine on the premise was broken. The individual whom provided ice acted like she was doing me a favor. Again no documentation anywhere that you can get ice from them. There’s no tv channel index in the room so all you can do is channel surf to find channels. I spilled water on the floor in front of the sink. When I sopped up the water with a towel, it was black.

Overall it wasn't bad but there were 2 dead and dying large cockroaches in my room, a dead moth in the bathtub and another one flying around the bathroom light. I caught 2 small bugs crawling across the floor which came in from a large gap under one corner of the door. I also got bit by something on the back of my calf while in bed. But it's Motel 6 in Barstow so I didn't have high expectations.

I like this hotel for its low Arion and price but this last stay has made me no longer interested in staying at this lap Arion again. We stayed in a room we have had before, and this time experienced them blood sucking critters. Bed bugs are no joke. Thankfully we shouldn’t need to stay in a room again. But this was my last stay at this location.

The room was not clean. The sheets were stained, the blanket had burn holes, the walls were painted in patches with mismatch paint, towels were questionably clean…just not great. Couldn’t even sleep comfortably in the bed, just slept on top with my jacket on.

This Motel 6 has to be the worst motel 6 I have ever stayed at… I have stayed at plenty of different location but this was the worst. There was homeless people everywhere.. The room was suppose to be non smoking because I have a 5 year old , the room smelt like smoke as soon as you opened the door… The room was not clean at all .. The sheets and blankets on both beds were dirty there was black stains on all the sheets and blankets on one bed an in the other bed there was red stains an black stains on the sheets an blankets I don’t know if it was blood or what but it was nasty to the point I didn’t even want to stay there anymore I couldn’t let myself let alone my 5 year old sleep under these conditions .. not to mention the roaches …

A few issues kept this from being a five-star stay. The details count. The drain-stopper lever on the sink came apart when I pulled it up; I could have fixed it myself, but I really didn't want to spend the time. The Wi-Fi was so slow and had so many dropouts that it was virtually unusable; in 2025, if you advertise Wi-Fi, it seems to me, you have to have adequate bandwith and coverage throughout the property. I needed Wi-Fi to get some work done and I couldn't do it. There weren't that many guests staying that night. It needs attention. For her part, the manager at the desk was very pleasant and my check-in was fine.

For the most part this is by far my choice of hotels here in Barstow. Our first night though was a bit annoying as the people upstairs were heavy footed and seem to be moving furniture constantly. The WiFi sucks though in the room we are in… keeps dropping. Other than that, it peaceful, I’m content, and the bath is great.

I was told if I didn’t have my receipt I wouldn’t get my deposit back. Nobody told me to hold onto it and I saw nothing on their site or on the walls in the office. Poor communication.. Heard loud banging and yelling at my door after midnight multiple times so I was unable to sleep. Pretty bad experience.

I felt that my stay at the Motel 6 Studio was a fantastic experience! Ty, the lady at the front desk, was fabulous in checking me in! She was extremely friendly and very helpful! She should either be given a raise or some type of wonderful compensation for her amazing concierge abilities!

What a terrible experience! We were first placed in a room in the far back corner which looked like a party was going on right in front of the door we were supposed to check into . We immediately drove back to the front and asked for another room . The clerk was annoyed and rude and didn’t understand why we wouldn’t want to stay back in that hole ! I wanted my money back and leave , the whole stream was rundown and creepy ! Traveling through I didn’t know the area or how awful it was! I chose it last minute , appeared lots of locals use this motel as a party place ! We were given a different room and locked ourselves in and went to sleep ! Thankfully we survived ! The same clerk working in the morning had someone check the room to make sure everything was there before releasing the $60 hold , Like really ! Would I want to take anything from this dumpy motel ?? Just shows the typical clientele he’s used to . Keep going ! Matter of fact go past this whole side of town ! Awful awful experience!

The check-in staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was peaceful and quiet for a good night’s sleep. Denny’s restaurant was a five minute walk away. Unfortunately the furnishings, particularly the table, was beat up and old looking— Time for an upgrade. The chemical smell from cleaning products upon entering was overwhelming and I needed to leave the door open to air it out to be able to sleep.

I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels out here in Barstow, and this one is the best yet. I love the cleanliness, location and pricing. The staff are courteous and kind. Coffees good too! Love that they have a laundry facility, working ice machine and vending machines. Tucked away in the cut, very peaceful. This is our choice Hotel now. Paid for an extra night and we are doing it again tomorrow night.

When we checked in there was no hot water. No coffee pots in the rooms, coffee empty in the lobby. Window curtains didn’t block out the bright lights everywhere, thin walls so we heard every neighbor and were placed next to the boiler room. .. bathroom had holes in the door, the ceiling was half patched, cigarette burns in the comforters… over all GROSS. We woke up to a flat tire that was fine the night before so I’d say unsafe as well. Will NOT be returning.
