At Best Western Elko Inn, travellers repeatedly praise friendly staff and solid free breakfasts, while feedback on facilities and upkeep is mixed, with the indoor pool and hot tub frequently down or cold and areas showing age or deferred maintenance.

Rooms are often spacious and comfortable, but issues like broken fixtures, noisy or dated A/C, occasional odors, and intermittent Wi‑Fi appear in several reviews. Cleanliness feedback ranges from very clean rooms to stained carpets, musty hallways, and a worn pool area. Location near I‑80 and dining is convenient. This property needs some repairs. It's beautiful from the outside and looks really nice when you pull in. But the spa was shut down (repairs) and the pool was cold, the wifi wasn't working, and the tv in my room was broken. I also noticed the ice machine in the hallway that was out of order and I used the side exit door one morning and noticed it was not hinged correctly and broken as well. I don't think it locked either which could be a safety concern? My first room was ok, but the bed frame covering was torn up like a dog had chewed on it and the TV would black out when turned on. I did request another room, and the staff was very pleasant to talk to and gave me a new room for the remainder of my stay. I give this hotel overall a rating of 3 stars and feel it is overpriced for what it offers. Hopefully some things are repaired soon. I would like to commend the staff as they were all friendly and helpful! Thank you,

Pool room was disgusting, floor was black, walls green with algae, hot tub didn't work, tiles in pool room ceiling missing. Our pull out bed sheets weren't changed, there were wrappers and a piece of gum in it. There were pieces of dog food in corners of the room, window screen was broken. Eggs in the morning are microwaved. Couldn't use the exercise equipment, couldn't figure out how to turn them on. Staff was really nice though.

For the most part, our stay was clean and comfortable. However, we specifically chose the hotel based on having a hot tub, since I have a bad back that is worsened from driving. The hot tub was not working, and the clerk indicated that it hasn't been working for months.

The hot water was not available and I was made aware of it about 8 hours before arrival. I chose to stay because I didn’t have time to find another hotel. The room I stayed in had a noisy air condition/heater unit, the TV remote didn’t work, lights in the room flickered on and off, and the toilet paper supply was low. The staff did their best to fix the TV and toilet paper issue. The remaining issues needed maintenance.

That said the staff was more than accommodating and the breakfast never disappoints. We will stay there again. 🙂

Our stay was terrible. They checked us into the wrong room and then after unpacking they asked us to move rooms. Totally ridiculous. They did not compensate for the move and they downgraded us! They didn’t even give us the room we paid for. They said they were all booked and since we went thru a 3rd party platform (Expedia/orbitz) they couldn’t offer us the room. They offered no compensation for the move. This seems to be a management issue. They said they would get back to me about compensation and never did. The pool was also very cold. Furthermore, we were not the only room with problems. As I was waiting in line (which was a long time because of other issues), someone brought in a piece of a door frame that was broken off when they checked in. I would never stay here again.

Check in was horrible. Too way to long. They spent much of the time training a new person... didn't even ask if I minded. Also too much time in enrolling me into the BW club, which I did not request. Best of all the $50 for the incidentals was charge twice. The morning person was able to correct.

The staff was unable to check customers in at check-in time because "the laundry person called in sick". Rooms were not cleaned nor ready. One child crawled under the door to my toilet as I was using the facility.

Travelers coming to the area, beware. Hotel staff takes a very long time to check you in. Hallways smell awful. Room had no cool water (burnt hands washing them). Zero ice in the hotel. “Free breakfast” was disgusting at best. It was undercooked microwave bacon, biscuits and grey soup, mushy attempt at hash browns. People running down the halls all night. Housekeeping knocking at 0800. 0/10 would not stay again. !!!Stay somewhere else!!! The ‘new management’ has had time to fix a lot of these issues (I’m not the only one with these complaints, read a few other reviews). Spend the extra 10-20$ on any other place, this place is awful.
