Stayed 2 nights

I have stayed here in the past and conditions were better. It's under new ownership. This was an off season two night stay. TV did not work ( direct TV did not receive any channels.). I did report it to management. I guess I was expected to call direct TV for repair?? The location is very nice and quiet. If you plan to arrive late you may have trouble getting a key. (after 8 pm you will need to wake up the manager.)

Stayed 2 nights

This is NOT a four star hotel, first and foremost…this skewed my whole experience. The check in gal was very kind when I called about whether I needed to be present, and said she would wait for me to arrive as apparently the front office closes at 5:00. However, the office was locked and had the “closed” sign up every time I walked by it during our stay. I had purchased three rooms. The cleanliness was mostly fine, exception being two of the beds. In the bathroom, they had a three product dispenser in the shower…all of the pieces but one to dispense the product were broken off in some manner, so I went to use the provided shower products. They did not include body wash, which is the only one I count on in a hotel. One of our three rooms had an actual mini fridge with mini freezer. The other two were just your standard mini fridge with that little top “freezer.” Two of our three rooms were identical lakefront king beds next to each other. One of them had the “full” small fridge and one had the typical mini fridge. One had a dresser. One did not. Also, the “available rentals,” like their pontoons or even a basic personal tube, are ABSURDLY priced. They charge $10 per unreturned key card. There’s a fee if you get makeup on their towels. It just seems nickel and dime-y. There was no food or drinks available on the property, but for a soda and snack vending machine. It was ok-ish? Maybe advertising as a four star property isn’t the best plan of action for The Lodge.

Even at the discounted price of $165, I thought it was overpriced.
