Major road construction right in front of hotel. First room we received was adjacent to the road...crazy noisy. Asked to be moved...got a room backof the property...much better. Room was very nice on 3rd floor..but elevator was broken...so carrying bags up two flights of stairs. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Coffee ok.

Overall a good experience Pool/Hot tub If you're choosing this place for the pool know that it's cold. Our daughter could only handle 15 minutes or so at the time. The hot tub temp was nice but looked dingy. We couldn't tell if it was old or dirty so we opted out of using it. Room The room was decent but they need blackout curtains. So much light still gets in even with the blinds closed. The mattresses were cheap but fine with one person sleeping but not super supportive for 2 people. Breakfast had a nice variety. There are some decent restaurant choices too. Overall, it met our needs but with kids know you'll have to drive to Rockaway for parks and beach.

Vending machines broken no water or coffee in lobby as advertised - town shuts down at 9pm so if you didn't buy snack or drink then you have to drive to the next town to get something. But we had an amazing employee overnight shift who opened up the breakfast area for us so we could at least get some juice as we were all very thirsty!

Elevator broken. Electricity out in half the building. Pool and hot tub out of order. FINAL straw = room smelled like cigarette smoke. The lady was very nice, but we chose not to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Garibaldi. Our room and common areas were clean, it was quiet, and breakfast selection wasn't too bad. The eggs and sausage bowl was delicious. Walking distance to restaurants, gas stations, and the Oregon Scenic Railroad. Unfortunately the spa was down which seems to happen often and pool was a bit too cold. But overall, I would stay here again.

I didn't like our room because it smelled funny like mildew, but we were only there for a night and I would've asked for another if it was more than that.We stayed there over a room with a view because they advertised breakfast but it was one of those breakfasts with only waffles, cereal, bagels etc, and not a sit down with a fresh plate of food breakfasts so just be aware. In the end I would have rather had a room with a view.

Not a fan of carpet in rooms with humid/foggy weather - always feels damp. Soda machine not working - had to cross 101 to gas station. Bed a little hard for us - not their fault - linens nice and lots of pillows. Very noisy - from train and barking dogs across the street to kids and adults stomping around upstairs - thankfully we can sleep in late.

Staff was nice and helpful. Gave us cookies when we checked in. Bright lights at gas station across the street shone in Venetian blinds all night. Needs blackout curtains. Bed was not comfy, kept rolling to the middle. Toilet was really low so hard for us oldies. Didn't use pool or hot tub. Free breakfast buffet was pretty good.

The staff were great BUT the old mattress was terribly uncomfortable, we were tired and sore the next day. The breakfast was also quite mediocre, we recommend finding a restaurant nearby instead. Also, the wifi barely worked and was needed for work. You're right on Hwy 101 so there's a lot of road noise all night long.

I was in town for a wedding at noon and realized I wouldn’t be able to check into the room to get ready beforehand (check-in at 4pm) so I called ahead and talked with Maddy. She was so sweet and helpful and arranged an early check-in in just an hour and our room was very clean and ready when we arrived. 10/10 customer service.

I booked the room through Expedia as we are traveling with our dog so I needed to ensure they would accommodate. The hotel states that they are pet friendly but when we tried to check in, they did not welcome our sweet lab that apparently exceeded their permitted weight limit. The yipping and nipping chow I saw enter was just fine, but not Bodhi. The clerk was no help and proceeded to lecture me for relying on information provided by Expedia when I booked their hotel. He offered no help or suggestion just refused our reservation.

When I checked in, the person took my credit card, which I thought was for incidentals, then charged it for the price of the room. I knew that I had already paid for the room, and he just said “no, it was just a hold“, when I could already see the charge on my bank account. I told him then in that case I wanted to change the card that paid for the room, and he told me he couldn’t because there was no manager working, and I should call tomorrow after I check out. When I asked him where the elevator was, he said it was broken, casually, and didn’t ask me if I needed a first floor room. When I got to my “non-smoking room“, the smell of smoke was so overwhelming. There were no curtains to cover the windows, just thin blinds that didn’t really block out the light. The neighborhood was good, and very easy to access and park in.

Nice and quaint stay. Rey at the front desk was delightful and helpful, especially as wife needed extra pillows due to medical necessity. Breakfast was nice, and had plenty of options; cleanest hotel breakfast area we have ever seen. Nice, comfortable lobby, and the little reading nooks off the elevators were a pleasant and welcome surprise.

Didn’t start great because the guy who checked me in was super passive aggressive and rude. But the place was clean, comfortable beds. Just not worth the price. It’s basically in a parking lot, toilet made weird noise and it was just overpriced for the money especially at $25 extra per dog!

Although the outside of the property appears tired, this is a reflection of the ocean air's impact. Once inside, the property is well maintained with a large lobby, indoor pool, and breakfast room that stays open 24 hours. The harbor across the street offers seafood restaurants and views of the harbor. A convenient and quiet alternative to Tillamook.

Tillamook is not far from here and there are more options there if you don't mind a short drive. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a very good place to stay during a drive down the Oregon coast. The room was clean, and the front desk clerk was very personable. We didn’t use the pool, which was pretty small. The breakfast was okay. We liked the location, which definitely isn’t a tourist town like Seaside. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and Tillamook is just 10 miles down the road.

We chose the Hotel Garibaldi because of its nearness to the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. Before and after our evening ride on the train, it was convenient to walk half a block back to our comfortable lodging.

We thought this was a good value for this region of the Oregon coast. Our only unfulfilled wish was a better breakfast. Microwaved eggs is never a good idea, and the only breakfast tea they had was decaf.

We picked this hotel because of the included breakfast. Upon check-in, we were told they had a water pipe burst in the breakfast room, so breakfast options were limited, but we could order from the front desk clerk. The following morning, we decided to have breakfast so we put in our order. The poor front desk clerk was doing his best to prepare, bring out, and jot down orders for everyone, while keeping a smile on his face. It seems like it would've been easier to just set something up in the lobby, or just give guests a discount on their room, instead of putting it on the front desk clerk to try to manage it all. I didn't catch the clerk's name, but it was the Scottish bloke who was working. He was really doing a great job. The rooms appeared to have been remodeled recently, and the beds were comfy. The noise out on 101 and from the train in the evening were quite load.

Nice, spacious and clean rooms. The breakfast was the worst we experienced for a long time, if not ever. Some gooey oatmeal was the only warm item. All other items were prepacked (e.g., slices of sausage, boiled eggs) in small containers in the fridges. Toast, English muffins and bagels were in grocery store bags the guest had to open and close. No tongs to remove them from the packages. The breakfast room was small with cheap furniture, almost claustrophobic. Severe let-down of an otherwise rather nice hotel.
