Very clean. Very quiet. A 10 minute drive to the French quarter. We will be staying here every trip to New Orleans from here on out

The room was disgusting. The carpet had dirt and debris all over. The lamps were covered in rust. The bathroom faucets were gross looking. The cord for the hair dryer had disgusting looking substances, dirt, and grime. The tissue holder hasn't been wiped since whatever sheetrock work was done. I'm assuming it was texture spray or something but not sure. I checked it to see if it would wipe off and it did. The dresser was absolutely broken and couldn't be used. At 4 am there was a dumpster being filled with tree debris right outside our room. The "quality breakfast" available is IHOP.

The staff were wonderful, let me be clear on that point. The lobby was very empty but at least it was clean. The front elevator was broken so I had to haul my luggage all the way to the back to that elevator, then back to the front of an upper floor to reach my room (I was home for a medical appointment related to spine damage and pain, so this wasn't ideal for me!) My room was gross. The floor by the door was filthy. The bathroom had hairs in the shower, toilet, vanity, mirror, and on the walls, so my assumption is that if it's visibly that dirty, what I can't see must be a lot worse. Thankfully I brought slippers and I set absolutely nothing on the floor. The halls and my room reeked of weed overnight and in the morning (again, I am a user myself, but not in a damn hotel where there are other people). I was so icked, I ate dinner out by myself rather than ordering in as I usually do when I travel solo. Turned out to be fine since the tv didn't work either lol I saw the "renovations coming soon" signage, but that doesn't help me now. Spend a few dollars more and stay anywhere else.
