What guests think

Across recent reviews of Hampton Inn New Albany, guests frequently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly front-desk staff, while noting recurring drawbacks like dated or worn areas and occasional maintenance problems affecting doors, plumbing, or in-room fixtures.

Several rooms lack a fridge or microwave, and Wi-Fi, elevator, or pool outages are mentioned during certain stays. Breakfast is typically the standard Hampton spread and often well received, though multiple guests encountered cold items, limited replenishment, or coffee running out. The location is convenient off the interstate with restaurants nearby, but signage can be hard to spot and rooms on the highway side can be noisy. Overall, it suits road trippers seeking a straightforward stay, but it pays to confirm appliance availability and any temporary facility closures.

We enjoyed a three night stay. Good location with many dining options within walking distance. Rooms were average and ours did not have a fridge or microwave but some units do offer these. Pool was clean and well maintained. Nice large gathering area inside near check in. Breakfast was average we chose Waffle House right across the street.

We stayed at this hotel 2 different times in the last week. Both times the elevator was out and the ice machine on our floor did not work. The staff was freindly enough, but they did not have great availability. The room was clean. The faucet was hard to turn off though. It was an ok visit.

The hotel was in decent shape and seemed clean. It is conveniently located not far off the interstate. The staff were nice. There is a Cracker Barrel right next door that you can easily walk to which was convenient. The pool was out of order which was disappointing because I like to swim laps for exercise. I would stay there again.

Our bathroom had not been properly cleaned. There was no bathmat or hairdryer. Also there was no remote for the TV and the hotel didn’t have a spare because they were at capacity and we were told that the remotes keep getting stolen. The person in the room above was stomping back and forth across the floor until late into the night and again early in the morning. Not a good experience overall.

This hotel was a big letdown. The property is old, worn down, and had mold throughout. The staff seemed uninterested and not very friendly. Breakfast was poorly managed — there were no eggs left, and none of the other food items were being replenished. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and uneven, making it hard to sleep. Overall, the place needs serious updates and better customer service. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We booked a room for 6 people. At check in the room did not sleep 6 people. The front desk staff was very unprofessional and rude when we simply asked for a roll away bed. They were not busy at all. She stated they didnt have any available that night (literally was 5 cars in the parking lot). Then after complaining she bangs on our door at 10pm with a roll away bed. No Hampton signs off main road, Noisy, Staff was not very friendly at check in and did not offer bottled water , did not mention me being a honor member. I had to ask twice if my honor number was on the reservation. I had used Expedia due to issues with signing in to the Hilton network. I attempted to sign in to Hilton site for other reservations but kept receiving error messages. I then made my other reservations thru Wyndham hotels
