The hotel stinks. My TV was sitting on a paper cup. I told them I would like a room on the first floor due to back and knees issues. They had put us on the be 3rd floor.They had an elevator. But, it broke when we had just used. So, we had to walk 16 flights of stairs to go up and down. Yes, they did offer us a first floor room, but that would have mean we would had walk the stairs up and then down them to get to our new room. We had everything out for the night. Plus, we were in a car accident less then a month ago. Yes, it would had been nice to offer the room on the bottom in the first place. But, he said the elevator was working. That is why we took the 3rd floor. Plus, it is hard for me to walk a lot of stairs. That why we didn't even go down to breakfast. Because of walking up and down the stairs. Plus, they had a picture on the floor and magazines that where old and didn't have anything to do with St. Louis. They were from Table Rock. So, I would not recommend this place to stay. Plus, the wanted $100 deposit for the stay too. It is not worth the money. They wouldn't even give me a discount or refund my money for it.

Wall and floor not repaired were previous fixtures had been removed. Smoke detector was missing. Had to ask for towels, only one in room for three people. No house keeping. Was given a bag and told we would have to bring old towels to desk to receive towels for second day. Pool was closed (broke) all three days. Breakfast was sparse.

The hotel was dirty and outdated.The sink was in the bedroom,not the bathroom.Holes in the carpet in the hallway We had a nonsmoking room that smelled like smoke .Hotel was to have outdoor pool .The pool was closed due to broken pump.Would not return.

1st room hadn’t been clean beforehand so they had to switch us to another floor. They told us on phone that they had a pool but when arrived pool closed.

Upon arrival first thing we noticed was the pool was closed. On our way to our room we noticed that the vending machines are out of order. We got inside the room and the security lock is missing or has been removed. Nothing was plugged in, tv, lights, or alarm clock. Tub doesn't drain well when you use the shower and sink drain plug release is...missing. If you don’t want any of these basic features, this place will suit you well.

The pool was closed our whole stay.

THE STAFF WAS VERY RUDE. I WENT DOWN TO THE FRONT DESK TO GET ANOTHER PILLOW AND BLANKET WAS TOLD WHAT IS ON THE BED IS ALL THEY HAD. I HAVE NEVER STAYED AT A HOTEL THAT JUST HAD ENOUGH BEDDING FOR THE BEDS THERE. WHEN WE GOT THERE THE POOL WAS GREEN AND THEY WAS JUST STARTING TO WORK ON IT. WENT DOWN FOR BREAKFAST AND THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT AT 8 AM.

This place was filthy - overflowing trash cans, dog poop everywhere. The breakfast was a disaster with two pieces of dried out white bread available, some crumbs of dry cereal with no milk. The coffee was so weak as to be unrecognizable and the floor of the lobby was so dirty your feet smacked and stuck when you walked. My room was humid and smelled of mold. My check in was smooth, but my friends were kept waiting for 20 minutes. The staff finally found their reservation and it took even longer because of something. The pool had white algae floating in it and looked murky - there were no chairs by the pool, as if anyone would want to be there. The staff was very friendly but I guess some things are beyond their control. This place was so bad it inspired a short story - we laughed about it the next day.

Smelled so bad. Moldy & mildew. Toilet paper in the peep hold of the door. Blood &/or poop on the toilet. Went to lay down on the bed and the pillows smelled bad. Opened the case and BLOOD!!! That is UNHEALTHY!! Informed the staff and they said "oh sorry" and smiled.

Do not stay here!! If i coukd give negative stars i would. We were going to a concert in st louis and wanted a place to lay our head so we wouldn't have to drive home. The pictures on this website are not accurate. We stayed in room 204. When we checked in they charged us 100.00 extra in case things were tore up when we left. Our room was absolutely disgusting. The toilets were not clean....black stuff in them. Mold in the bathtub...the bed has blood stains on the sheets, holes in the wall. No fridge. Microwave did not work. The bed was so gross and when u sat on it the bed sunk to the floor. Wet moldy spots all over the ceilings and walls. We stayed for three hours and left. I could go on but i would take up everyones time. Do not stay here. Then they wouldn't refund our money for all the disgusting comments and concerns we had about the room. Just dont do it.

I consider myself to be easily pleased when it comes to traveling accommodations, but this was a whole different level. This hotel was so bad that I immediately scheduled another place to stay during our trip. The place was absolutely filthy—I’m talking brown-stained towels, yellow sheets, and condom wrappers on the floor. The walls, ceiling, floors, and furnishings were all damaged and in need of repairs. The stench of the place was horrible as well. It was a mix of cigarette smoke and a desperate attempt to conceal the smell with incense. The only reason we stayed even one night was because we got in so late, otherwise we would have checked out as soon as we checked in. Ultimately, it was NOT worth the extra bit of savings I thought we would have instead of staying some place nicer. Oh, and the customer service was very poor. The employees were rude on the phone and in person. Seriously, find some place else to stay.

The room and halls where disgusting, the whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and often of marijuana smoke I had selected a non smoking room but when people are smoking in the rooms down the hall that allow smoking it defeats the purpose. I have bad lungs and wife is pregnant every time someone smoked it was like they were blowing it in my face I would go into a coughing attack and couldn’t breathe. We woke up the first morning with itchy bites originally thought maybe a mosquito got us but now they burn and sting and itch bad fairly sure it’s bed bugs. The condition of this hotel in comparison to ones at a similar price rage this place should be charging tops $30/night go with the other hotels they are much nicer we come to this area weekly for work and have been to most hotels in the area this one is by far the worst. Also breakfast is sad pancakes and waffles with cinnamon rolls and bread oh and juice , no cereal no protein like sausage or eggs and the first morning they didn’t even have syrup so I had to eat buttered pancakes cause I wasn’t allowed to take them to my room where I had stuff I could put on it that would at least make it somewhat appetizing. This place is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. And I’ve stayed in central LA so that’s saying something.

1 star. DO NOT STAY HERE. Our room smelled of pee. There were pee stains on both beds. Blood stains and dirty black stains on the bedsheets. There was a blue stain on one of the blankets. Clearly, they did not wash the sheets and blankets from the previous guests that stayed there. My parents and I had trouble sleeping the first night, knowing we were sleeping on a dirty bed.

The room had roaches other than that it was satisfactory

Check in guy was great. But the smell in the room was not. Carpet and ceiling stained. Dirty hand print and soap residue in the tub. Broken furniture. Cockroach in ice. Dont stay here.

Roaches were EVERYWHERE was not able to get refund, left in middle of the night. Definitely avoid, absolutely terrible experience.

The check in process was quick. My family and I were on the third floor. As we entered our room we immediately checked the beds, as we do at every place we stay. One of the beds had not been changed. It had at least three different types of hair and small stains of blood. The walls were also filthy in the sleeping area and in the bathroom. There was a physical handprint above the toilet. The bathroom door had a hole. The door to the room did not dead bolt. It only had a cheap chain lock. The floor was crawling with ants. I ended up being bit a few times by them. We entered the pool are which is very ran down. Chairs are broken and the gate. The pool has a chlorine floater floating around in it. There were a few addicts and homeless people sitting around the pool gate. One lady was checking another guys body for bugs. Then there was a couple watching my daughter swim and it was ver nerve wracking for my family. This hotel has a bunch of people living in it and is very ran down. If you are looking for a decent hotel for vacationing or a get away, do not go here.

Non smoking room stinks of cigarettes Second room had piss on the wall and holes from someone punching

The room was musty. We could hear the couple in the room next to us. There we spots and stains on the carpet. The bed was tooo close to the wall and hard to climb into. Not enough towels and not enough electric outlets in this day of technology.

Clean room. Very dated. The bathroom sink faucet wasn’t even fastened to the sink! Could not connect to the WiFi.

The mattress is covered in a thick plastic, causing the sheets to slide off. The hallway carpets are extremely stained. The walls are dirty. No amenities that I’m aware of.

People was up all night in parking lot outside my window,in bathroom shower hole in the ceiling big enough someone could come threw ,pool was pretty had to go get my own remote4 tv to the room he walked it up with me weird to come in my room to turn it on then stand there not leaving until I walked towards door. Had to put 100dollar deposit down also they aren't pet friendly with cats but dogs are ok

The Road and Subdivision around the hotel was incredibly noisy and the parking area lights shined directly in to the room windows.

Walls need painting. TV difficult to use. Front desk clerk needs training. And needs to know if there is a refrigerator in the room. Overall antiquated.

Was checked into a dirty room, had to wait to find another room. New room didnt have fridge(listed as amenity), front desk said only some rooms have them. The inside of the whole building stunk bad, lobby hallways, rooms. Elevator jerks on way up and down. Half of the options for breakfast was "not avaliable today"

It didn't seem to me that i entered my room and it smelled like a cigarette,the pillows took on that smell,there was no body cream,therewas very little paper,you can tell they didn't change it, they have Coffee in the lobby but it's more water.i give it a 2 out of 5.😔

WiFi was incredibly slow. The key would not last more than a day so I had to keep going to the desk to get it reset. Wouldn't have been a big deal if the desk person was actually at the desk. Had to wait 5-10 minutes for them to come back to the desk to get the key fixed.

I had issues with my first room , however after talking to the gentleman at the front counter , they moved me to a different room and made it right. I would stay here again

The first room they gave us was still unc!ean. The second room was some better but we still had to ask for towels.. Also the room did not get cleaned even thou we requested maid service. The desk clerk the day we checked out was rude..

I was told they didn’t have a room that I booked and if I wanted a room I would have to pay $37 extra. The guy laughed that I had to pay extra. Said we have to make money.

They couldn't find my reservation; that took 30 minutes! First time that's ever happened. The carpets had not been vacuumed and the bathroom wasn't cleaned - a face cloth was still draped over the tub spout.. There was a strong odor throughout the room and that floor. I felt ill from it and had to sleep with a mask and my air purifier going all night - thank goodness I had them both!!

I inquired about clean towels and was told they only stock once a weekend, but would make an effort to bring towels by amd they never did the entire weekend. The room bathroom did not have any toiletries oe soap in the bathroom nor any coffee and such in the room with said coffeepot. Breakfast had only cereal, and donuts with coffee... nothing else. We will not be booking there again. You bet what you pay for I guess.

This hotel is subpar. Checkin was slow, and then they put us in a room with one bed instead of two. So we asked to switch because we reserved two queens. The desk agent wasn’t happy. I had another obligation, so at this point I left my mother (yes, i’m a bad son) to figure it out. From here, the agent put her in a room that smelled, in a section that was clearly smoking. He earlier said there were only 20 guests for 90 rooms that night. I came back later and nobody was at the desk. After 15 minutes, some guy walking around in flip flops and sweats noticed me. He was kind enough to text the desk agent to come back to post. He told me the room number and then I asked for a keycard, which annoyed him. He then said because he’s made me a card, it would deactivate my mothers card as a security measure. So I asked him for two cards for obvious reasons. Now the agent is angry. He couldn’t fathom two people needing two cards. At this point I see a big sign saying asking for more keycards or lost cards is $2 extra. These punitive signs should’ve been my first clue to cancel and go to the hotel across the street (which is where we decided to stay the next night). The TV in the room didn’t work (agent also said most of the TVs in the hotel didnt work, but some might have Roku), but at this point I was too exhausted to argue. The toilet sounds like a 19 century steam engine train. And none of the appliances or lamps were plugged in. This hotel is unwelcoming and priced no different.

The remote didn’t work; the man working said he would get us another remote after 11 we said forget it; never heard from again. We had to go to TV to make changes. Breakfast from 6-9 but at 6:20 there is nothing out or available and couldn’t find anyone to ask. The room phones don’t work to call the front desk.

America's BVI in southern St. Louis is about the only low-cost motel chain in the entire area. Other competitors within a 20-mile radius all seem over-inflated. It is a *basic* unevenly-retrofitted older motel, but clean. Bed, bathroom seemed newish. Right off Interstate 55 and 255, so a very strategic location. In a (safe) mall area, so lots of choice of restaurant, stores, etc. Clientele seemed a healthy mix of ages, families, singles, etc. Desk employees were helpful. Breakfast was adequate.

The staff person was terrific. Everything else was terrible. We left in the middle of the night. There were dozens of people who gathered at the car wash next door to party all night. The area did not seem safe. The smell in the room was nauseating, and the halls were not better.

It was perfect for what was needed A nice place to sleep and shopping was in walking distance

When you have to search to find someone to get your key to work late at night, it is incredibly frustrating. Then my key stopped working the next day too. ... And no hot tea available? How hard is that to have at the breakfast bar? It was a place to stay, but don't be deceived looking at a map -- you cannot WALK anywhere, no sidewalks or crosswalks, it's all ridiculous US highway. I had to take Ubers to go to the hotel across the way that I could see for an event.

We knew we had the wrong place when we had trouble reaching it because of a "street takeover" at an adjacent property. When we checked in we where told not to stay there by a guy who was waiting at the front desk (should have listened but was to late to turn around). Confusion about my reservations, i wanted two rooms close together, which were confirmed verbally the day before. Rooms were dirty and in rough condition, one had a musty smell. I did not sleep well because of the noise and concern for my traveling party's safety. I travelled a lot for work and have stayed in so pretty shady/questionable places but this was one of worst. Certainly not a place to bring you family to stay at.

the hotel outside looks ok, but is in a not so good area of town, next door to it there is a car wash meeting place where young people meet with their cars to race each other and some of the area used is thryu the hotel parking area; the hotel has long term tenants that live there so the halls are full of different food smells which is not so bad because when we got to our room: 1- the entry light did not work; it lacked a bulb and electricity2- the tv didnt work 3- the window curtains were off the rod broken 4- the bed sheets were yelowish; I had to smell them to verify they had been washed; 5- one of the beds we could not use because the mattresss was so used that it had a dent in the center and it rolled you to it6- the same bed with the bad mattressw had a bad wood frame that croaked when you sat on it or moved 7- the towels were clan but had holes 8- the carpet was so stained that we didnt know if it was dirty or just stained so we didnt dare walk barefoot . Frankly I was dissappointed I had chosen it. We did not wait for the "hot breakfast"

The hotel was hard to find, as the address listed is Lindbergh Blvd but it is not even visible from Lindbergh, and you have to take 2 different streets to arrive at the hotel. At check in I was initially ignored by the front desk staff, who were in shift change and were bringing each other up to speed about the problem guests; I had the impression that this hotel was a half-way house for transitioning criminals back into society. I declined to consent to leaving a deposit, as it said that the refund would be issued at the sole discretion of the front desk clerk. When I expressed concern about the damage deposit, the clerk stated that "people are eating chutney in the bed, and we have to buy new sheets". There was an unmistakable odor of marijuana and a dog was running through the lobby. The room turned out to be subpar and lacking in essentials - the remote was missing, carpet was stained and dirty (like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks). The bathtub was dirty, missing the shower head and the shower curtain, and the handle for the hot water was a wrench!! The light switch inside the door didn't work, and this was the darkest room I'd ever walked into. When the toilet was flushed, it produced a very loud noise. I was concerned about the quality of the food considering the cleanliness of the room etc, so I did not partake of the breakfast. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

This place is DISGUSTING, went to have breakfast & Live Fruit Flies squirted out of the orange juice dispenser as well as them flying all over. The male attendent when I first checked in was rude & more worried about other things. The pool had bugs all over in it. RUN FROM THIS PLACE. Cars torn apart in the parking lot.... I made the reservation before I got here & could not get my money back.

There is no hot breakfast like it says...just cereal and toast. The beds are disgusting and uncomfortable, the pillows are literally like someone took a feather pillow, wet it, then dried it, all matted up and flat. I could hear everything from every room around me....and i mean everything...

This was one of the most run down hotels I have ever stayed in and I was not being picky. The walls and everything is in disrepair. I already knew we weren't going to have breakfast because it was so gross but when I saw the breakfast area, it was a mess! No one was in it at the time, the man just sitting at the front desk (which is cluttered with inappropriate items and is not professional at all) and he couldn't bother cleaning up or restocking. There was not a single empty cup. All I wanted was a cup of coffee. He looked everywhere for cups and couldn't find any. The only good thing was the air worked in the room. I would not stay again.

Room and entire place felt neglected, they advertise free breakfast but there was none in sight
