The Television in the room wasn’t functional. The Desk Employee told us … there’s no volume control and it had to be plugged in and unplugged to turn it on & off. The hot tub didn’t work. No jets no circulation. The employees had no answer for this. There were no free weights in the gym. This is absolutely not what we’ve come to expect from the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS franchise and Expedia. Quite frankly this is unacceptable and ..,, if we can’t trust your site to deliver a consistent product and service … possibly our patronage would be best served somewhere else.

We booked here because it looked to be the nicest hotel in the area. Said they had a pool workout room Laundry and so on. When I travel them are the 3 things I look for on top of a super clean hotel and room. I called 2 days before hand just to be on the safe side and make sure my room would be ready and I was all set to go! I was never informed that the pool was not up and running, or was the work out area and to top it off no Laundry! To the pay what I had to pay for this place for 4 nights I think was well over priced for not getting everything that the property said it had! I will not be re booking here in a few months when I come back for a week nor will I suggest it to others!

If your hotel is undergoing extensive renovations, then your room rates should be at a significant discount. It's not good enough to tell guests that the pool and gym are closed, but that they can use the pool and gym at another hotel that's at least 1/4 mile away. Also, the TV in the room was disappointingly small. It's 2023; even large-screen TVs are cheap now.

When we arrived we were notified that the hotel was renovating and therefore no ice machines worked and the pool was closed. The pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, and there was no mention of renovations when we booked. In addition, the TV was a huge hassle because the guide button on the remote was broken. The pull out bed did not have any bedding, and the front desk staff refused to bring us any. We had to go down and get it ourselves. When my wife objected that she was in her pajamas, the employee was very rude and hung up.

Jay, the desk attendant, was friendly and tried to accommodate us. I was disappointed because I paid a lot of money for 2 rooms and after traveling over 10 hours I was looking forward to relaxing in the pool and hot tub only to find out that neither are available due to renovations. When I booked the rooms it mentioned tha5 the facility was undergoing renovations and that they would try to keep the noise down. It did not say anything about the amenities not being available. I am really ticked off about this! We will be needing rooms again tomorrow night but I won’t be booking with Holiday Inn. This is the second time this has happened to me. You should be discounting these rooms!

Hotel is under renovation, so hopefully when done it will be better. A/c was horribly noisy hard to sleep. Poor sound insulation between rooms and hallways. Lights in the room poorly placed and one had this weird night light feature that couldn't be turned off. Disgusting gray faux wood design floor. Sofa bed was dirty. Ice machines not working. No towels in the pool area. Staff was helpful and friendly. Pool was spectacularly clean. Hallway carpets disgusting but looked like maybe those were next on the renovation. Breakfast was wonderful.

The low star rating is due to no elevators working. We were put on the third floor and had to carry our luggage up. Once in the room it was like a refrigerator. I understand having the air on to have the room comfortable, but setting it at 63 is too cold. The bed felt wet due to the coldness. It wasn’t wet, just uncomfortable for trying to go to sleep. I would skip staying here until their renovations are complete.

I stay at many Holiday Inns when I road trip across the country and I usually appreciate the cleanliness but this hotel in Grants, NM was not up to par. The showers had a bunch of pink mold everywhere and missing baseboards. It was super run down and needs a major cleaning makeover. Just gross!

Comfy bed, lots of room. The hot water took awhile to come in (wasteful), the bathroom needs on more light and a hook on near shower to hang clothes or towels. Highly recommend the Junkyard66 Brewery 5 minutes away.

The room was wonderful, the check-in experience was not. I was told when I checked in that Expedia had marked me as cash and Holiday Inn doesn't accept cash. I was told that I had to call Expedia and have Expedia call the hotel to straighten this out. It took me an hour to accomplish this trying to manage the phone trees and the dead ends. I would think that the premier travel aggregator in the world and one of the most iconic hotel names in the world would be able to understand what each entity requires so that the process is seamless for the customer. Furthermore, I would think the two enterprises would have direct communication lines such that if a problem should arise one entity could speak to the other without the customer having to act as a go between. In my case, what was a problem between Expedia and Holiday Inn became my problem in that I had to spend an hour of my time, after a long day of travel, to figure out how to get in touch with Expedia. The whole incident was frustrating for me and for the staff at Holiday Inn Express.

The location worked great for my trip. Staff was friendly and fast. Property was very clean. Hot tub felt great at the end of a long day. Quiet stay. Breakfast was very good and dining area was clean. The lady taking care of breakfast area greeted me nicely when I went in for breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again.

It’s a good spot for a quick stop in Grants; looked like the nicest hotel in the area at quick glance. Staff were friendly and there was breakfast available. Rooms were clean. Surrounding area has a few fast food restaurants, convenience store, gas station, and quick access to I-40. The town itself seems pretty tiny and not in the best of shape. The hotel was good.

Upon check-in, we found out that we were given a different room than we booked, the elevator was not working and we had to go up 3 flights of stairs. In the morning we found out that there was no pancake mix, no cinnamon rolls and burnt bacon. Not happy!

This property is horrible. Not as advertised, so beware. Elevator had exposed wires hanging out. The 3rd floor hallway walls and carpert were stained. The bed was uncomfortable. There was a very small old mounted tv. The shower water was not hot. You can hear everything outside. The breakfest was horrendous. They must put out leftovers because the foot looked and tasted old. Just an horrible experience.

If you’re looking for a hotel with a good breakfast then i recommend this hotel. It was the best hotel breakfast I have had in a long time. The bacon was perfect! Also had cheese omelet, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, biscuits and gravy as well as a selection of yogurt, cereal, muffins, bagels. Oh and a machine to make fresh pancakes.the staff was friendly. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is they don’t have any k-cups with caffeine only decaf. Also, the biggy was that I almost got trapped in the elevator. The doors did not open and I had to force them open. Kind of scary.

The service at the front desk and the person working there was awesome, that was definitely the highlight. From there, it was pretty average in a way that doesn’t justify the higher cost than all the other hotels/motels at this stop. Walking in, it appeared the bed was remade from the previous guests without the sheets being changed. I convinced myself i was being silly thinking this, but then kept finding black hairs and black pubic hairs all over and in the bed (puke - I’m bleach blonde) I woke up at 5am to go for a workout and a swim only to get to the gym to see a sign that said the gym and the pool are all out of commission indefinitely due to construction - despite being promoted as a feature on hotels.com to convince you to book here. That should be updated to reflect these aren’t available. The breakfast was OK - the standard breakfast items weren’t available, the bread was empty, the eggs were crusty and discoloured in the way that happens when they’ve sat there for hours and their juice machine was broken. Overall, I would recommend staying somewhere else and saving half the money

Stayed twice to and from return trip to Grand Canyon. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. Great stay both times. For me, not an issue, but for others, the hotel is in progress of a remodel. Otherwise, wonderful and courteous staff.
