I was surprised at the difficulty the shuttle has but that’s an airport restriction

This is a perfectly acceptable airport hotel. The shuttle to and from the airport was on time and quick. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything about the hotel was great except having to pay for parking. That was different. Some of the guests were rude and LOUD but that was not your fault.

This hotel was amazing it was very clean and very updated. We were actually impressed with how clean it was. Everything looked brand new. Almost looked like a courtyard Marriott. However the line was very long as it was a very busy day at the hotel and the elevators are a nightmare. We were up on the 6th floor and it literally took us 20 mins to get to the first floor. Not because the elevator were down but they simply did not function properly. If you are on the 6th floor you have to hit the Down button to go down, pretty typical, but not here, you have to hit the up button to wait for the elevator to stop on your floor and hope to find a spot. So after the elevator goes “up” even though you’re trying to go down as the Down button doesn’t work, you now have to wait for the elevator to stop on every floor going up and going down as other guests are trying to get on the elevators as well. Oh not to mention the housekeepers share the same elevators with the guests. Not that that’s a problem however when the elevators are this slow I feel bad for the housekeepers. Oh and their medicine vending machine was down. God forbid we get a headache in this hotel and spend 20 mins to get downstairs just to find out the medicine vending machine is not working. And the stairs are “only for emergencies” according to a few staff members of the hotel. I don’t understand however this is the holiday inn.

Hassan was extremely friendly and answered all of my questions. The room was fantastic. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the elevators were a bit worn and the ‘down’ button on the 6th floor didn’t work so we had to take a couple of trips up just to go back down.

It has a restaurant and a wonderful snack area. They shuttle you from the airport to the hotel.

Received our key for our room and couldn’t get in. Went back to the desk for a new key. Still couldn’t get in. Sent up a maintenance person and he couldn’t even get in. Had to be reassigned a room just off the elevators. Super noisy with elevators running all night long. Then woke up to two of the three elevators going down so had to take the stairs or wait forever. Also the restaurant is outrageously expensive. Plus paying for parking. Generally just really not a positive experience.

The front desk was nice but you could not get ahold of them because they were always busy. Location is good for getting to the airport. Shuttle was prompt and fine, definitely old. The worst was the room smell. The bathroom was consumed by sewer odor. There is no way that was not noticed when cleaning. Walls very thin and lots of people all times of night. Fridges have been removed. No where to store food. This was not ideal for someone with food allergies.

Well I was definitely expecting more from Holiday Inn, I have stayed in mutiple and they have all been okay but this one was just dirty and weird. 1st day haven't even checked in yet and I had a charge on my account for the full total plus the deposit of the room. Now I travel quite extensively and I have never had a hotel run my card without my permission... how did they know I wanted to use that card for the stay? Pretty sure thats illegal. I asked the manager at check in and he blamed it on Hotels.com which they have never done that before but whatever... Go upstairs the room was okay but I started noticing things, AC vents disgusting, air vent in bathroom disgusting, there is hair on the ceiling of the shower, black mildew around the tub, all pillow cases either had blood or mascara on them. 2nd day at the hotel the bathroom sink started to leak I texted to the front desk its needs maintenance Hassan texted back that he will put in a request. I came back that night and wasn't fixed. I called down around 930pm and again Hassan answered I told him no one came up to fix it, he said he'd put in a request for the next day I said okay and moved one. Next day comes around Im gone all day to come back and still the sink wasn't fixed. (Whats also weird about night 2 is they had a very large group of people that couldn't speak english lined up in the hallway waiting for something,all holding brown folders, im pretty sure they are harboring illegals at this hotel.)

I stayed here for just a few hours while in town for a concert, and even that was too long. The sheets were dirty, so I had to lay on top of the comforter. The bathroom floor was cracked with a deep dip right in front of the sink, making it hard to stand there without stumbling. The faucet didn’t reach far enough into the sink, so water went everywhere each time I used it. The floor was dirty throughout the room—my socks were filthy after walking around. To top it off, the elevator wasn’t working. I’m thankful I didn’t have to spend the night, and I’ll definitely be booking elsewhere next time.

The staff was very friendly but our room was not clean. The room was not vacuumed properly and there were crumbs everywhere and cracked nut shells on the floor by the beds. There were also stains on the sheets.

Stayed overnight due to late flight for morning flight home. Bed was comfortable and free airport shuttle were good. Noise was terrible as we could hear people talking outside in the hallway, outside, and/or next room after midnight and early in the morning. Soundproofing must be terrible. Bathroom had a cracked sink, terribly wrinkled shower curtain and a hair on the toilet seat. We won’t be staying here again next time for sure.

The room doors were very hard to close resulting in people slamming doors and keeping us from sleeping well. The restaurant staff appeared as though the really didn’t want to be there and barely responded even after you would thank them for taking or delivering your order. On Sunday morning, I was interested in getting breakfast but my wife was not hungry. They would not allow her to sit in the restaurant with me if she did not order. On the positive side the front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean. Based on my overall opinion I would not stay here again

Didn’t like the food from the hotel restaurant so had to uber eats which can be a bit pricey. No safe was in my room and the fridge was leaking. Room was clean and bed comfortable however you could definitely smell when someone use the bathroom from the adjacent room. The shuttle service guys were nice, friendly and very helpful.

Great place to stay if you want a view of a correctional facility from your room! Furniture in the room were broken. They charge for parking and for breakfast. 👎👎👎

Convenient to airport but easy to get on the incorrect shuttle as there are 2 Holiday Inn shuttles. Checked in half hour early and was charged $20.00. The room was clean but there were no black out curtains so was unable to sleep. The bedside clock was broken and the AC was noisy. There were two ice machines for the entire hotel and one was broken. Only two elevators available and because my room was located on a lower level every elevator going down was full. Had to wait for 6 elevators to stop before one came that I could squeeze on. Tip: survey your room and report anything out of the ordinary so you can be moved to another room. Still waiting on the $20.00 credit I'm supposed to be receiving for checking in early for a sub-par room.

My only problem with the hotel is the walls are super thin! I could hear the next room’s entire conversation in the bedroom and bathroom! Besides that we enjoyed our stay, staff nice and friendly. Bathroom amenities were a plus too

The hotel was decently renovated with good fixtures and quality materials, however the original structure was poorly insulated for sound including hallway doors. As a result, the rooms are not very private, you can hear people taking shower or conversing in neighboring room through bathroom vent, people taking in the hallway, making hard to sleep and rest. Reception staff was not very friendly or helpful either. The hotel was overall OK-it did teh job for a last-minute booking due to flight cancellation, but in teh future we will select another.

There no microwave in this hotel at all

This is the hotel we stayed at right before we had to get on a 5am flight. The room was very comfortable, large, and clean and it was nice there was food available at the hotel.

Pro: The hotel was not far from the airport, comfortable beds, easy check in. Con: bathroom and bathroom door needs updating.

Yes, the young lady at the front was very rude when ask about gettting a tag to hang in the car. I had already informed her that my sister would be arriving shortly. When my sister arrived at the front desk to receive the tag, Mary told her no because it was already a tag giiving for that room but the guest in front of us had received 2 tags. Veery disappointed and I think my family will make.other arrangements to stsy somewhere else, the next time we are in ton for visit. Also, zi still haven't received my $100 deposit back. O Y

It was a good hotel for 2 days stay - staff very friendly and helpful.

The check in process was seamless, the rooms were nice and clean, the 24 hr store was amazing and the transportation to and from the airport was also a breeze. Highly recommend staying here

could not find are reservation so i had to book with my credit card Expedia has yet to reimburse me for the charges

I arrived at 11:00 at night and was told they did not have a room for me because they were overbooked. I made my reservation 6 months ago. They said that they called their sister hotels and nothing was available. Offered me a motel down the road where the reviews clearly stated it was unsafe. I was then told, essentially, Good luck! They said that they had notified hotels.com at 6:00 p.m. hotels.com said they did not receive any notification. I had to find a hotel on my own which subsequently cost me an additional 75 Uber ride and an additional $150 for a room and didn't get in my room until after 2:00 a.m. for a 7:00 a.m. flight.

Our flight was changed and we got into Newark and to the hotel early in the day. The staff there was so wonderful! They got us checked in early so that we were able to get into our room and rest. And they did not charge me extra for early check in. This made the trip much easier on me and was SO appreciated! One of the best hotel experiences Ive had!

Terrible customer service, manager behind the desk was extremely rude when we had requested a change in booking. Began raising his voice at my husband over the phone. I came down to the front desk and he came out the back little office and did not even apologize when I told him that he spoke to us earlier in a disrespectful manner (Indian decent male, name I believe started with an S). This was my first time choosing this hotel and never again will I choose this hotel, better to take your money elsewhere. Rooms are small and musty smelling, AC is loud/poor circulation.

Asked for coffee pods and towels but never received them. They didn’t have any at the front desk and said housekeeping would bring them up but they never did.

They did the best they could with what they had. The area is rundown, not a whole lot close by, but it is close to the airport. The lobby is nice, staff is friendly, but the place is older, and the rooms are fine enough for a short stay. The hotel is DIRECTLY next to the NJ State prison, and our room has a great view… of the prison yard. Parking is $21/day, and the road/highway/bridge tolls to drive anywhere are insane, just make sure you’re aware. It was all fine for our short stay with the family (3 kids) because it was close to EWR for a late night international flight, but not great if you are going to vacation in NY or close by.

Next door to the STATE PENN, this place offers nothing but a bed to sleep in, for the price its a bit rich. There is no coffe or tea facilities in the room. The lunch shop offers 3 day old over-priced wraps and coffee that is as weak as piss. Forget the bar/restaurant its even more expensive. You cant walk anywhere to get anything as its located in an old industrial area. Try a better location.

The location was great! Very close to the highways with easy access to Metlife, American Dream Mall, etc. Staff were friendly and cleaning staff were pretty thorough. The look from the parking lot was not maintained. The grass wasn't cut and there were shipping containers on the property. Also, there is a $21 fee for parking that was not clear when I booked the hotel.

Third time staying there before a flight. Staff is helpful, there is a restaurant downstairs that serves good food and the rooms are always spotless.

Stay was good. I would like to thank receptionist at the guest Honesty and her colleague as they allowed me an early checkin. Both were welcoming and nice to me. Thank you ladies. Restaurant menu can be improved to include more vegeterian options.

I always stay here. Convenient, clean and comfortable. The restaurant always has great food.

This hotel was fine. The room was nice and clean. However, we had a lot of noise from what appeared to be a building air conditioning unit or something beyond our own unit that ran every 15 minutes or so for a little while the entire time we were there. The hotel restaurant had nice staff. Food was good but limited options and no kids menu.

The food was very expensive and I wasn't thrilled with my dinner. It wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. The service was good though.

Staff at desk were abrupt, unhelpful. Breakfast was terrible - badly displayed buffet, cheap yoghurt in a large bowl, poor coffee, stale cereal but eggs and bacon were ok. Renovated room so badly designed: wasted space, desk that had to slide under shelf, strange piece with mirror etc (purpose?). The brown and black theme was depressing. Holiday Inn: do better!!!!

Good restaurant/bar, nothing fancy but good, cafe is very good if not looking for big meals.
