What guests think
At Royal Inn Eugene- Airport, travelers consistently find very clean, newly renovated rooms near the airport, while trade-offs include an industrial setting and potential noise from nearby trains and traffic.
Rooms are modern and often spacious, with large fridges and microwaves adding convenience. Several guests noted limited on-site extras (no ice or vending), occasional Wi-Fi issues, parking inconveniences, and intermittent construction activity. Staff earn frequent praise for welcoming, helpful service, though a few report lapses such as check-in or housekeeping missteps. Expect a clean, updated, airport-convenient stay with basic comforts.

Construction is going on and it starts a little early and goes a little late but it’s temporary. But the noice from the train and other tenants. Is a little much maybe some earplugs in the room might be nice.

After some severe winter weather I was without power for almost a week. I booked a room here so I could continue to keep my business running while not able to work from home like usual. Rooms were not easy to find locally because so many people lost Power. This room was available, clean, and seemed to be well maintained. It was comfortable right away. The main reason for a lower rating is the quality of the internet. I specifically got a room for business and this property advertised free WiFi. The problem was that the internet was set up to kick you offline every 5-7 minutes making working online nearly impossible. I guess if I just wanted warm and dry this would have been great but as a business owner not being able to rely on the internet would be a deal breaker.

The room was well laid out, very clean, and had all of the basic amenities. Although located on a busy street, my room towards the back of the property was extremely quiet. The area around the hotel is commercial, and not very attractive, but it is quite convenient for the airport And did not feel unsafe at all. The property is basic with no frills, like a lobby or lounge area, but functional.

Loved the refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Internet access wasn't working. Having to drag our suitcases around to the back of the building because of no parking was a bit annoying, but that was just where our room was located.

Staff was very nice, parking was easy, the room was nice, and the place was really clean! My only complaint is that the bathtub in our room was clogged so the water didn't really drain, but otherwise everything was great!

It was very noisy, with trains and traffic. Plus, neither the sink nor the bathtub drained well at all. The bathtub was still draining 20 minutes later. The room itself felt fairly clean, but the noise and drains were disturbing.

Heat was left off in the room until we arrived. It took a long time to warm up when turned on. Heating ran a lot through the night and was loud and made sleeping difficult. Requested a king size bed and room had a queen.

The cleanliness and customer service was amazing. I loved the energy we received when we first checked in at 8:30pm. The room itself seemed to be recently remodeled and was super spacious, beautiful and clean. It was centrally located to downtown eugene, malls, and restaurants. Definitely recommend for a quick stay to just sleep.

Walls are paper thin. I could hear word for word the conversation between the couple in the room next to me. At 5:00am They were not yelling, merely talking in normal voice levels. Lighting in bathroom vanity area is horrible. No way to put on makeup and no other mirror or better lighting in room.

The facility was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was suitable for our need, which was a place to sleep near the airport. Because our flight came in late I called the property to be sure I could check in about midnight and was told that was no problem. However, when we got there, they had a night bell for us to ring. Nobody answered after several tries. We tried calling their number with no answer. We called Expedia, they were able to get through and someone finally checked us in.

Staff seemed a tiny bit disorganized (example: my key card was deactivated on the second evening of my stay by a staff member who didn't realize the room was occupied) but they were very nice and more than happy to help when I needed it. The location is very close to the airport (though it doesn't have an airport shuttle as far as I am aware) but not very close to town. The climate control in my room wasn't very good but the room itself was nice! Overall a good experience and I would come back.

Due to a life-threatening snow and ice storm I was forced to cancel my trip I contacted the hotel in advance let me know I was not going to be able to make it. They refused to give me a refund in full and basically didn't give a damn about the safety of the people we're forced to choose between traveling and risking their lives or losing their money. The refusal to cancel ha cost me over $360. I also plan on lodging complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Oregon Department of Consumer affairs.

Stayed for 8 days and housekeeping was promised for every other day. Housekeeping never went to the room, until I complained on day 6. They've remodeled so things in the room are new and clean, and the fridge is bigger than usual for a hotel. Trains blow their horns right across the street night and day.

Perfect for a stay close to the airport. Don’t let the outside fool you, the rooms are updated and great, staff was super nice, very reasonable rate. The only downside was not much nearby in the area for choices to eat and things to do, but for travelers it’s a great choice. This was my second stay here and I will be staying again whenever I fly in to Eugene.

Just a pit stop on our way home. Had to be at the airport at 3:30 AM. Got the number for Oregon Taxi from the front desk. He picked us up at our door, on time and it was a smooth trip. Great service. Our room was newly remodeled (very good job done), clean and comfortable. Make sure you have snacks and drinks with you (we did). Otherwise it was a very good experience.

Average motel on the outskirts of Eugene. Good value for money paid and close to the airport. Restaurants are very limited in the immediate area.

The welcoming young man was courteous and thoughtful. He went out of his way to accommodate us. He suggested a good place to eat and it was wonderful.

I needed to stay close to the Eugene airport. The Royal Inn was perfect. I arrived a few hours early, but the staff staff was so helpful. They were able to get me into a room. The room appeared larger than most hotel rooms. But maybe it was the way it was set up. Nice size refrigerator, and microwave for someone who is staying longer than one night. I had no transportation, but there is a restaurant right across the street. The menu looked great. I kept it simple with a hamburger which was perfect.

The property looks like any other motel on the outside. Is on a bigger road. Not super cozy. Staff were friendly. HOWEVER the room itself was lovely. Nicely redone, clean, comfortable bed and pillows, large refrigerator. We only stayed for the night before our early flight the next day. Would definitely recommend for travelers who only need the room to sleep and don’t need to hang out on the property.
