Newton Inn In Newton, KS

What guests think

At Newton Inn In Newton, KS, reviews describe a budget, no-frills stop with generally clean rooms, friendly staff, and solid value, though the building is older and common areas can feel worn compared with the tidier rooms.

Rooms are basic and dated in spots, with some updates, in-room AC, and occasional amenities like a fridge and microwave; many found beds comfortable, but a few reported very uncomfortable mattresses or minor maintenance quirks. Amenities are minimal, with comments about a lack of coffee or in-room coffeemakers and few extras overall. The setting is near a truck stop and felt quiet for several stays, yet others noted loitering outside and an uneven sense of safety. Expect a simple, budget stay focused on price over extras.

Our door to the hallway didn’t lock. Bathroom was very poorly lit. Kleenex box but no Kleenex. Our room was on the second floor but no elevator. Had to drag our heavy suitcases up the stairs. Dirty and worn out hallway carpet. Glass doors were filthy.

We enjoyed our stay at the Newton Inn. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. While the facility and some of the furniture and fixtures may be showing some signs of use it appears that they are trying to make the most of what they have to work with. It felt a little like a work in progress. It offers much for the price. We would stay here again. Even though it may not have all the bells and whistles of some of the newer or bigger motels it had everything that we needed for quiet and restful stay.

It is an old, age wise, building; however, everything is in very good condition. Friendly staff. Clean room with a great AC unit. The king bed was comfortable and conducive to a great night's sleep after a long day of riding.

It is an older building but it looks like they're making improvements. The room is nice and it looks like new carpet and other updates. The air conditioner is great! Nice bathroom and it's very clean, and the bed is comfortable. The desk manager was very nice. No frills, though. No coffeemaker in my room so I'll leave early to go get my jumpstart.

I’ve stayed there once a year for several years. I think it’s the same owner during that time. Nice guy. Clean room, fairly quiet even though it’s next to a busy truckstop. No problems this visit except only one electrical outlet in the room worked and it wasn’t in the bathroom. Kinda strange but we worked around it. I’ll stay there again next year.

It was just an overnight stay so we didn't expect or need much. However, the check in was a bit slow due to recorded responses. The amount of soap and shampoo was lacking. When we went back out 7am the next day to get more, we could not get to the office. There were no kleenex anywhere. The bed was high in the middle and sloped down at the sides.
