What guests think

Across many reviews, Comfort Suites Pell City near Logan Martin Lake is praised for clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a varied complimentary breakfast, with a convenient location off I-20 near restaurants and shopping.

A recurring drawback is traffic noise from the interstate, which several guests heard in their rooms. Housekeeping is not daily, and a few guests reported lapses like odors, mildew, slow drains, or maintenance checks entering without clear notice. Expect a clean, comfortable stopover with strong value and easy access, but consider requesting a room away from the highway.

Clean, well decorated lobby. Friendly service. Spacious, clean room. Easy walking distance to Cracker Barrel and other restaurants. Cute patio with grill. Small refrigerator in lobby with dinners, snacks, and drinks. Complementary lemon water. Great value for the price! Would definitely stay again.

This property is nice, has nice, helpful but somewhat uninformed employees, but the location 25' from the Interstate makes for a noisy stay. Not to mention, pipes had burst in several areas of the hotel, with fans, blowers, and other equipment left running 24/7 in hallways, walkways, and public areas in an unsafe manner. Cleanliness was poor (previous guests or staff hair remained in bathroom and room), but I believe a limited number of employees cleaning the entire hotel in those conditions is to blame, not the employees themselves.

It was a good experience. The property was clean and everything was quiet. Check-in and Check-out was easy. The only problem I had was a shortage of luggage carts. It appears people would put them in their room and not bring them back.

The property was undergoing repairs for my recent water leak. However, signage was clearly posted indicating what was going on and it did not have a negative impact on our stay.

Good place to stay. Lobby restroom was out of order when we arrived, and our room’s bathroom door didn’t close properly. Other than those two minor inconveniences, the place was very good — it was very clean, spacious, and quiet, and had all the amenities we needed.

10/10 Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location. Icing on the cake is the delicious breakfast! Will stay here everytime we are in the area. My wife is correctbut she not telling you. That when u get in the elevator the smell of warm muffins, biscuits, fresh make them yourself mini and large waffles. The variety of cereals and some fresh fruits. I could go on. Definitely icing on the cake of staying in a clean room w/ relaxing smelling hallways. Im a fitness guy 5days a week and the gym was more than adequate for on the road. To top that Im a Planet Fitness member and a 2 story PF is being built a baseball throw away. This is a 5 star 🌟 establishment with hospitality to brag on.

I’ll never stay at any Comfort Suites. We stayed here a few weeks ago and had the perfect stay. But this stay wasn’t good, the front desk clerk on Friday night 7/11 wasn’t rude and not helpful. Our room smelled, had to change the sheets on the bed, tub dirty.

I read reviews prior to booking. My recent stay at this hotel was unfortunately not as comfortable as I had hoped. While the staff were polite the room itself was disappointing. The overall cleanliness did not meet expectations, with noticeable dust and a stale odor that made it hard to relax. The traffic noise could be heard inside the room was as if I was standing outside; that’s how loud & distinct it was. Moved from one room to another and it was just as bad. Housekeeping would not come everyday to tidy up the room or refresh linen due to short staff. For the rate charged, I anticipated a more comfortable and well-maintained room. With improvements in housekeeping and room maintenance, the property could offer a much better guest experience.

The only negative in our stay was the location of the AC unit. It was literally right beside the bed and cold air blew on my feet all night. There was a lot of traffic (interstate). Since they were not full I should have requested a room across the hall.

The hotel itself is ok, staff were extremely nice. The room. . . . We were put in a room right next to the elevator, once in the room we kept getting a wiff of a pee smell. The sofa bed was nothing but wires, HORRIBLE! Then I don’t know who they had in the room above us, but it sounded like an elephant walking around most of the night and that they were going to fall through the roof. Wish we would’ve had more time to see if we could change rooms but we got there at 9pm and be up at 4am, Definitely wouldn’t stay again at this location.

The breakfast was great. Its more of a stop and stay one night kind of place so it is what it is. However during out stay a man had access to our room while we were in there with small children to check the fire alarms. He didn't announce himself and we were changing so it was startling and extremely inappropriate. It was as if they just gave that man a key to our room! We let the front desk know and they said they would look into it but nothing was followed up on. Our keys stopped working at around 10:00 so we had to hold all the doors open while loading our car. Check our was 11. It was weird.

Very close to the highway, the windows are not well sound insulated. There was a double booking error caused by the web transaction and the front desk said they could not assist in any way. I asked to change rooms to the other side of the hotel on a night that was not fully booked, the desk said expedia reservations could not change room type, even though there were vacancies and I was willing to take a smaller room.
