Stay at the 1906 Lodge on Coronado. You can walk everywhere. They let you borrow bikes free for 2 hours. There are beach chairs and boogie boards too. If you find parking on the street it’s free parking. They cook a nice breakfast every morning which is included as well as a free happy hour from 4-5 with beer, wine and hors d’oeudres. Cute boutique hotel.

The property was very comfortable. Fresh breakfast every morning and happy hour with wine, crackers and fruit in the evening. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Park in the neighborhood for free. All staff were amazing. Definitely coming back.

The Lodge was very quaint and lovely. The rooms were accommodated nicely. The only complaint I have is that the on-line write up about the place stated that there was complementary underground parking, but when we checked in we were told if we wanted to park in the underground garage it would cost $30 a night. That I take as false advertising.

This boutique hotel was perfect in every way. The proximity to the beach, shopping, restaurants, plus it was quiet, comfortable, and just a perfect place for us to stay. The free breakfasts were great as was the happy hour. I felt special staying there as they made everything so nice for their guests. The free bicycles to use was an added bonus.

What a beautiful property, so relaxing and welcoming! Fantastic staff that treats you like an old friend! The room was gorgeous, with double sided fireplace, whirlpool tub , two comfy chairs, luxurious bed, small kitchenette and private patio. The property is in excellent condition, immaculate and beautiful. Bikes, beach stuff available as well. Walkable to beach restaurants etc but located in a residential neighborhood. Tip * - the parking is an underground garage around the corner, and it’s small and tight fit. I unloaded luggage at check in area and then parked car. There is an elevator back to lobby floor- but not to second level. I would absolutely stay again but probably try harder for street parking availability than use the garage again. * Free happy hour 4-5 with wines snacks etc in garden area. Free small breakfast as well, same area. Thank you for the surprise champagne and birthday card to greet me in room, such a nice touch!! It was my first time visiting CI, and next visit I will definitely choose 1906 again!

Loved our stay here! Check in was easy. Underground parking is available for $30 or free street parking (be sure to read street signs when parking). Happy hour from 4-5 with wine, beer, and lemonade offered. They also have a rotating snack that was nice and light. Cookies were in our room as a welcome present. Room was clean. Rooms closest to street may be slightly noisy if people are talking outside of the hotel but nothing that was bothersome. Quiet hours from 8pm-8am. Breakfast served from 8-9:30. It was like staying in an old time elegant home in the historic lodge. The reading room was our all time favorite. If we were not out and about we were there. They had installed an elevator to use to get to the second floor and basement to the underground parking garage, with a garage door!! The breakfast was homemade and wonderful as were the happy hour snacks and beverages. It instantly became our all time favorite place !

We were greeted by the beautiful hotel grounds and buildings-the gardens were wonderful. The manager came immediately when we rang to register. She was friendly, kind, and helpful. They upgraded our room and she walked us there sharing all the amenities available to us. Our room was magnificent. We appreciated the historic style, fireplace, jetted tub, extra sitting room and balcony. The room was immaculate. The bed was super comfy. The happy hour was fun and had a great snack tray for my husband and I to share. (deviled eggs, praline pecans, and grapes) They served wine, beer, sangria, lemonade, and iced tea. I had the lemonade and it was freshly made and delicious on a warm day. We also enjoy the free breakfast that was served to our table in the garden by the fountain. We had an egg and potato casserole, fresh fruit, sausage, and a warm banana nut muffin. It was excellent! Our waitress was friendly, positive, and professional. She brought us extra water and checked in on us to be sure we had all we needed. In fact, this was our experience will all the staff we interacted with. This was an excellent, beautiful hotel that we would go back to in a second! Thank you 1906 Lodge for a great stay.

Had a great weekend at the 1906 Lodge. The staff was friendly and helpful, the courtyard and fountain were beautiful and peaceful, and we were able to walk everywhere! They had beach towels and chairs available at no extra cost. Our room was clean and spacious. Recommend!

Another amazing stay at the 1906 Lodge. My favorite place to stay on Coronado. Convenient, quiet location. Excellent staff from the front office, breakfast/happy hour servers and housekeeping. The breakfast is excellent and the room was immaculate. Don’t hesitate to book if visiting Coronado.

Loved the privacy and quiet of the courtyard, especially at breakfast. Didn't feel like we were in the touristy area that we were in the middle of. We really liked the room itself, the bed was extremely comfortable. The TV however was not totally visible from the bed where you have it mounted on the wall and the jets in the Jacuzzi didn't work.

The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff and attentiveness was top notch. My only complaint was the portable air conditioner in the room was way too small for the size room it was in. It was a very hot day for Coronado and the unit just couldn’t keep up with the room until it got in the 60’s outside. Other than that I will definitely be back (just not in the summer months). I would advise this Lodge to anyone looking for clean, cozy place to get away close to the beach, restaurants and shopping!

We loved our stay! The 1906 is a lovely property, we stayed in the Trolly Car room and it was a really comfortable beautiful space. We loved the breakfast every morning and happy hour was a bonus! Would stay again!

Our stay at 1906 Lodge was for celebration of my birthday. The room was clean and comfortable. The sink in the bathroom drained very slow of which I didn't inform management till checkout to avoid maintenance during our stay. The spa tub had two out of six jets working and one jet that worked intermittently. It would have been a perfect stay with perfect memories if the spa tub worked as it should have. Unfortunately, we have the memories that the spa tub didn't work as we anticipated.

What a beautiful, well maintained older hotel! Loved every moment here. The shower in our king bed room was enormous and the bed very comfortable. The 1906 Lodge is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, beach/Pacific ocean and the historic Hotel Del Coronado

We were greeted by the beautiful hotel grounds and buildings-the gardens were wonderful. The manager came immediately when we rang to register. She was friendly, kind, and helpful. They upgraded our room and she walked us there sharing all the amenities available to us. Our room was magnificent. We appreciated the historic style, fireplace, jetted tub, extra sitting room and balcony. The room was immaculate. The bed was super comfy. The happy hour was fun and had a great snack tray for my husband and I to share. (deviled eggs, praline pecans, and grapes) They served wine, beer, sangria, lemonade, and iced tea. I had the lemonade and it was freshly made and delicious on a warm day. We also enjoy the free breakfast that was served to our table in the garden by the fountain. We had an egg and potato casserole, fresh fruit, sausage, and a warm banana nut muffin. It was excellent! Our waitress was friendly, positive, and professional. She brought us extra water and checked in on us to be sure we had all we needed. In fact, this was our experience will all the staff we interacted with. This was an excellent, beautiful hotel that we would go back to in a second! Thank you 1906 Lodge for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at 1906 Lodge! The staff was all very friendly & helpful. We had a delicious breakfast each morning on the patio and enjoyed happy hour from 4-5 daily. The Lodge is very well kept up, comfortable & clean. We plan to come back :)

what is not to like about this place ? I could honestly say that we had the best time to relax and enjoy ourselves. My husband and I enjoyed the cocktail hour and the breakfast every morning was something different which was amazing . The property cleanliness and rooms were absolutely amazing . super close to restaurants and shops . So let me just say that Benny and his staff ( Emily and Pria ) went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We will be back !

The property was nice, however the manager was horrible! I booked & paid for the reservation for ourselves & friends. When we arrived our friends were given a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room while we were given probably the worst room at the lodge. When I brought this to the attention of the manager she absolutely refused to compensate us any way & simply said your friends were lucky. In my opinion this policy is completely inappropriate & her attitude was unbelievably rude! I will never return!

The room was gorgeous, with double sided fireplace, whirlpool tub , two comfy chairs, luxurious bed, small kitchenette and private patio. The property is in excellent condition, immaculate and beautiful. Bikes, beach stuff available as well. Walkable to beach restaurants etc but located in a residential neighborhood. Tip * - the parking is an underground garage around the corner, and it’s small and tight fit. I unloaded luggage at check in area and then parked car. There is an elevator back to lobby floor- but not to second level. I would absolutely stay again but probably try harder for street parking availability than use the garage again. * Free happy hour 4-5 with wines snacks etc in garden area. Free small breakfast as well, same area. Thank you for the surprise champagne and birthday card to greet me in room, such a nice touch!! It was my first time visiting CI, and next visit I will definitely choose 1906 again!

Staff was amazing. Upon learning it was my daughter’s birthday, they left a personalized card and a bottle of sparkling apple cider in an ice bucket. Double checked with us to make sure nothing was amiss when we decided not to stay for breakfast. I can’t say strongly enough how attentive and sincere every staff member was. Only hiccup was a tv that kept rebooting, and the hot water was out for a couple of hours (but it was fixed quickly). Will definitely stay here again

Cozy accommodations, great location, friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast made the perfect pre-Thanksgiving getaway for my wife and I. 1906 Lodge is conviently located to the shops and restaurants along Orange Ave, the main street that runs through Coronado Island. The staff is wonderful and the service was great! The free breakfast and happy hour were delightful and very much appreciated. We had an excellent stay in this quaint lodge and will definitely be back.

The room was large, craftsman style and well-maintained. It was well-appointed with a huge jacuzzi bathtub, nice big shower and separate sitting area. The grounds were peaceful and beautiful and quiet. We did the happy hour one evening near their fountain which was nice. It came with a snack plate of mixed nuts, club crackers and dip and grapes. The one thing that was surprisingly substandard given how wonderful the Lodge is is their breakfast. My experience in B&B's is that most strive to provide a breakfast that is at least somewhat nice. Unfortunately the Lodge's were barely edible. The first morning it was a soggy, tasteless egg bake containing mostly chewy, soggy hash browns. The second morning was two small soggy pancakes and a lemon bar. We skipped the breakfast the third morning. Overall, it is a great place.

The facility was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good although portions a little small for most men. The happy hour was a very nice touch out on the patio. However, there is no excuse for serving undrinkable wines. The white was a too sweet nondescript blend. I then tried the red and literally poured it out in the garden. I know they shop for supplies at Costco. For $5, they could buy a good Kirkland Pinot Grigio and slightly more for a decent Cab or Merlot. Hopefully, their beer was better. Inexcusable for a nice classy place.

We had a great time at the 1906 Lodge.
