Smoke alarm was beeping when we arrived in room, had to travel up 2 floors to get ice, paid $6.95 for breakfast when all other hotels(same menu as others)are free Will not book here again unless no other hotel is available

In this case, you definitely get what you pay for. At first glance, the hotel looked clean and well put together, but after looking a little closer, that wasn’t really the case. There were stains on the ceiling and walls, dirty carpets in the hallways, dirty elevators, and peeling wallpaper in several areas. The shower fixtures in my room were also loose and could definitely use some maintenance. I also experienced an issue as soon as I arrived. I had booked and paid for a room with two beds, but at check-in I was told they had overbooked and asked if I would take a room with one bed instead. I declined, and they eventually placed me in a different area of the hotel where the room type I originally booked was available. I’m not sure why that wasn’t offered from the beginning. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, check-in and check-out were simple and straightforward, and there was plenty of free parking. Overall, I got what I paid for. It did the trick for a last-minute, one-night stay and gave me somewhere to sleep for the night, but based on the condition of the property and the issue with my reservation, I wouldn’t stay here again.
