The room had a terrible odor. I let the front desk know, and they sent maintenance to the room only to come down and say he didn’t smell anything upon entering the room. The smell was terrible, so no matter if he smelled it or not which I’m sure he did the comment he made “I don’t smell anything” shouldn’t have been made they should’ve just moved us as they did after I continue to complain. I ordered three rooms and the Wi-Fi wasn’t working in either room. The front desk just told us he’s not a technician so he couldn’t help us and that they would be fixed in the morning but again this is a one night stay The pool is extremely cold and the area is not heated. Other than that the structure the decor and everything else is nice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, location is good - short drive or long walk to a mall area with stores and restaurants. The property did have a small gym. Bedding and pillows were very comfortable - some of the most comfortable I've experienced even in high end hotels. We paid $10 for a breakfast voucher. Breakfast offerings are some breakfast sandwiches, a cup of oatmeal, coffee, cold beverages etc. There was ample space in the lobby for small groups to gather. The only negative is that there are doors on both sides of the lobby, so when they opened it was quite chilly in the lobby area. Our room has a landscape light on a bollard that was window height, so it made it difficult to block out the light at night (even with the shade). It most likely would not effect other rooms though. The negative about Aloft properties is the large barn door/sliding door on the bathrooms. Even a minor misalignment cause a decent size gap that can't be closed - which means the door does not offer much privacy when it comes to noise / visibility in the bathroom. It's been that way at every Aloft property I've stayed at. I would definitely recommend this property based on the fantastic staff and the comfy beds.

Terribly cold and rude unprofessional under construction and under staffed. Took hours for simple towel requests, and our entire heater needed to be replaced while we were supposed to enjoy our stay the pool heater was still broken although they said it was fixed and it was also freezing could not swim and there was NO gym

My room had ants on a cart inside the room. I asked the front desk to exterminate. When I returned, my room had not been cleaned and certainly not exterminated. I called the front desk and Alejandro said he couldn't do anything about it, there was no manager to talk to and there were no more rooms. He said he may have some spray but didn't know. An hour later, my husband went to the desk and he ran in the back and stayed. My husband opened the door and asked about the spray and he said he would look for some. He came and sprayed the cart and around the bed. He refused to remove the cart and said that was all he could do for me and left.

The property was modern and there were plenty of things to do inside of the facility. Breakfast was offered when I booked for $26 extra which I declined, upon check in I mentioned the breakfast and was told each breakfast item was a la carte which confused me so I declined again. IHOP was across the road. Upon walking into our room for the first time there was a pretty crystal clear indication that someone laid down on the bed after it was made. We didn’t make a fuss we just asked for extra pillow cases since the sight of an indentation of someones head on the pillow was something we couldn’t ignore. Garbage cans still had remaining items from previous travelers (luggage tags) still no biggie but should be a privacy measure taken by the hotel to empty those. There was also a chicken bone right in front of our floor’s elevator that remained there for our entire stay, it was even accompanied by a patch of crushed crumbs on our way down to check out. A nice touch. While all small issues they say a lot. Cleanliness is not up to par, and QC may be non existent. Still enjoyed our stay overall despite the untidiness.

The property was peaceful and quiet. The staff was helpful, nice, and attentive. I didn't have any issues with my stay. The hotel was clean and tidy, including the elevator. One of my pet peeves is a dirty or smelly elevator in an establishment. The room was spacious with lots of counter space and spotless. Great hotel in a great area! I'll definitely stay here again!

Not a very well maintained property, non-attentive staff- ie multiple requests for things and this is not me being high maintenance it basic customer service. Poor quality food and service at the restaurant/bar. I don’t even consume alcohol just expect again basic level of customer service. Rooms are not well maintained, moldy shower, things like lights and tv not working. Hotel is very loud so not relaxing or a great environment to get any sleep. Oh and coffee and breakfast are not included, it’s a pay per item type service.

Overall great stay. Very clean and staff was friendly. My only complaint was that we could hear music, maybe from the bar and had some loud people from a wedding party across the hall late at night/early morning.

Staff was kind and informative. Pool was nice. Decent coffee in the morning. The beds in this hotel are TERRIBLE. Cheap, bottom of the barrel mattresses with lumps and craters make for restless painful sleep. Though my own fault, I left my travel pillow in the room. It could never be mistaken for the cheap feather pillows the hotel supplies. When I called back to speak with housekeeping, they simply said they didn't find anything that had been left behind. Enjoy the Purple pillow guys.

I always choose to stay at Aloft while traveling. This is my first stay that was poor. My husband and I stayed for two nights. We were in room 334 in Bolingbrook Il. Beginning at about 10 pm each night our room was booming from the music (bass) in the hotel bar. A constant thump that lasted until 2 am each night. I called down to the front desk and informed them that our room was rattling from the music. I was told “it gets a little noisy down here!” The next morning when we checked out I asked to speak to a manager. Larry was the manager on duty. I explained the noise situation and was told “it gets lively in the bar.” I’m fine with lively but at least offer us earplugs or when I called the front desk initially, offer to change our room. Larry told me he would look into the issue and respond to my email, which he confirmed, within the hour. That was Sunday at 10:00 am and it’s now Wednesday night. I received no response from Larry the night manager. I will reconsider staying with Aloft in the future. I’m disappointed that our hotel of choice had such poor customer service when we had an issue.

Have stayed here several times. More modern feeling than most places. If you want to get to sleep early you might want to get a room that is not facing the inner courtyard. Late night revelry might keep you up.

The only negative is that there are doors on both sides of the lobby, so when they opened it was quite chilly in the lobby area. Our room has a landscape light on a bollard that was window height, so it made it difficult to block out the light at night (even with the shade). It most likely would not effect other rooms though. The negative about Aloft properties is the large barn door/sliding door on the bathrooms. Even a minor misalignment cause a decent size gap that can't be closed - which means the door does not offer much privacy when it comes to noise / visibility in the bathroom. It's been that way at every Aloft property I've stayed at. I would definitely recommend this property based on the fantastic staff and the comfy beds.

The place was very loud, people were roaming the halls and having full conversations from 11 PM to 2 AM. You have to sign up for their rewards program to use the “free” Wi-Fi. Half of the bathroom is outside the actual bathroom door and you can’t turn on the bathroom light without lighting up the main room. The TV is stuck to the wall and you can’t plug in a Firestick or Roku or a game console. The shower doesn’t get hot. I always choose to stay at Aloft while traveling. This is my first stay that was poor. My husband and I stayed for two nights. We were in room 334 in Bolingbrook Il. Beginning at about 10 pm each night our room was booming from the music (bass) in the hotel bar. A constant thump that lasted until 2 am each night. I called down to the front desk and informed them that our room was rattling from the music. I was told “it gets a little noisy down here!” The next morning when we checked out I asked to speak to a manager. Larry was the manager on duty. I explained the noise situation and was told “it gets lively in the bar.” I’m fine with lively but at least offer us earplugs or when I called the front desk initially, offer to change our room. Larry told me he would look into the issue and respond to my email, which he confirmed, within the hour. That was Sunday at 10:00 am and it’s now Wednesday night. I received no response from Larry the night manager. I will reconsider staying with Aloft in the future. I’m disappointed that our hotel of choice had such poor customer service when we had an issue.

Horrible experience Expedia charged me for the room and the hotel said they didn’t get the payment MIA at the front desk was so rude she was more worried about her FaceTime call then helping a customer all This going on at midnight had to pay another room and still havnt been credited back

Not a very well maintained property, non-attentive staff- ie multiple requests for things and this is not me being high maintenance it basic customer service. Poor quality food and service at the restaurant/bar. I don’t even consume alcohol just expect again basic level of customer service. Rooms are not well maintained, moldy shower, things like lights and tv not working. Hotel is very loud so not relaxing or a great environment to get any sleep. Oh and coffee and breakfast are not included, it’s a pay per item type service.

There was no restaurant on the property although the amenities lists a restaurant. They had around 5 or 6 bar snacks. There was a noise throughout the night. We didn't know if it was the pipes or something else but had to run the air conditioning all night in an attempt to drown out the noise. The alarm clock was incorrect and couldn't be changed. The breakfast sandwiches had no flavor.

Our room was supposed to be ready at 4 pm I was told that because of the room I chose they needed more time (2.5 hrs). The room wasn’t ready until 6:30 I than asked for a later checkout or some kind of compensation and was told by the gentleman that I am not a Marriott member so there’s nothing he can do. First and last time coming here it was not worth the hassle and rudeness.
